  1. whoops... you're right, sorry. Brain fart. I'm old, what can I say?
  2. Hence why throwing the baby out with the bathwater isn't always the answer. If some fans had their way here they'd have fired Harbaugh, Pees and Morninhweg. And I have not agreed with the OC AT ALL. or Harbaugh... nor Pees at times.. The numbers have shown a vast improvement since Morninhweg took over. The numbers are real numbers. The players like him and want consistency. 6 OC's in 5 years is not what they want.... it's not the answer. Bringing in somebody else isn't necessarily going to correct the problems.
  3. Players have made themselves pretty clear. And I don't believe they want a change if you listen to Pitta and Joe. The only people asking for that change are the fans.
  4. That doesn't mean he's gonna fire Harbaugh before the end of next season though. I have to say that I agree with Pitta and Joe to a degree. We haven't had consistency on this team in these positions since the Super Bowl. Sometimes the only way to improve isn't always to create a revolving door, "until you get the right person in here", as much as it is to train your people to be the right guy. Sometimes that takes time and work. If these guys work that well with this coordinator, and don't want another change, I'd say let's see what that does before we go throwing people under the bus. If some members here had their way, they'd completely clean house.
  5. HARBS JUST SAID EXACTLY THIS........
  6. Where did you get this one? He's not daring anyone to do anything.
  7. So, let's go back to TIME.. It takes time for plays to develop downfield. TIME which Joe very rarely had. THAT is why you saw checkdowns. Because he was consistently being rushed, especially up the middle (which means missed blocks by the Center or RB), and on the right side. Even the Cincinnati announcers were noting how our receivers didn't have time to get open, and that Joe was rushed. When the media of the opposing team is saying these things... you know you have a problem somehwere... and it isn't always at OC. 7 different OLine configurations in 5 games. I just finished posting this on another thread.. Once Stanley came back, Yanda moved to LG, it was better. Lewis never made it back, and the right side was weak at best, always substituting. Watch a Dallas game and look at the time that Prescott has to make his plays.... Clean pocket almost every play. THAT is a good O-Line.
  8. If the OL is the problem then what changes would be made? Stanley stays, Lewis stays, Yanda stays, Wagner could stay. Is Zuttah really the one to blame for all of Joe's issues? I read somewhere he actually graded out pretty well the second half if the season. We had 7 different Offensive line configurations in 5 games due to injuries. Guys moved all over the place to fill in. Once Stanley came back the left side was fine. Lewis never did make it back. Zuttah had more penalties than anyone on the line also. And sacks allowed up the middle??? Those are missed blocks by the Center or RB. I'm just saying... Watch a Dallas game. Prescott has ALL DAY LONG. Br*dy does as well. Look at teams with good O-Lines, and you'll see better performance out of the running and passing game.
  9. Agreed also... everybody is quick to throw the QB and the OC under the bus, on every team. Go check out some of the other boards. Guys and Gals I see on here that are comparing others to ours aren't really seeing that even coordinators that are being mentioned as potential here are in the very same boat. It's really sad that people cannot see beyond that. Joe's lack of protection, and the ability to get time for the plays to develop is HUGE...
  10. The only person Harbs needs to answer to is Steve Biscotti. No one else. So I don't expect him to dis anyone publicly, except if he's honest maybe himself for not having players fully motivated and losing to many close games that we could have won. Publicly blaming players and assistant coaches for the teams shortcomings would not only be unprofessional, but come across as cheap and petty. Which despite some other flaws, Harbs is not. Now, behind closed doors, I think the Ravens fully realize that there needs to be some accountability and more than a few underachiving players and staff are going to be looking for new homes. But don't expect public shaming for the fan's benefit. agree 100%
  11. The numbers are real... Mornhinweg was promoted from quarterbacks coach in Week 6 after a deflating 16-10 home loss to the Washington Redskins. In his 11 games calling plays, the Ravens averaged 22.6 points per game. That would rank 18th in the NFL. Baltimore’s offense got better as the year went on. It moved the ball with more efficiency over the four-game span from Week 13 to Week 16. The Ravens averaged 28.8 points over that period and Flacco turned in some of his best games. The Ravens threw their way to a 38-point outburst against the Miami Dolphins and had strong showings in New England, versus the Philadelphia Eagles and in Pittsburgh. Just sayin!
  12. #5 DUMERVIL... While the analysts criticize Dumervil using his injury and stats as a reason, I think it's somewhat unfair as he did suffer an ACL tear, and didn't make it back until week 12 or 13? It's the first real injury he's suffered. And he, apparently, worked his butt off to get back sooner.
  13. Really??? OK. Not seeing Rex coming back here at all. Leslie Frazier is our secondary's coach, and has drastically improved those guys. I think the article says that they don't believe we are changing OC's at all. It appears that all of the Monday Morning GM's have their opinions as usual, but the real front office has others. But I'm just guessing that the folks here just seem to know more than they do.
  14. I agree with both of you as well.... Lots of Monday Morning GM's on these sites.
  15. Yeah, moved us up 1 spot......
  16. Yup... Upshaw was #35 in 2012. That year the Ravens traded back.
  17. Upshaw came right around the second pick of Round 2. He was ticked off that he went into the second round...
  18. No.... Not exactly... You have guys like Perriman who is very fast, same with Wallace. They are being double covered, as would most other WR's regardless. My point was that WR's can get seperation if given the time for the play to develop, and by that time the pocket has collapsed and Joe is under pressure, running for his life, and throwing off his back foot. A very good example would be to watch a Dallas game. They have the #1 line in the NFL right now. Dak Prescott has 7 or 8 seconds every play. Joe is lucky to get 2 or 3. The announcers talked about all of the Joe Critics.. and how a guy like him is constantly under pressure and doesn't get the time he needs. And he has been under pressure since 2012. Most of his successful passes during the SB run were out to the right, because most of his pressure was on his left side back then. Torrey even had a hard time getting open. And that they had addressed it very well with Stanley. I still believe their O-Line is the same as Dallas... Look at the beginning of the season WITHOUT Br*dy.
  19. We have bigger problems than that. We need more secondary players, and offensive line guys first. How about a Center for starters. You can bring in the best WR's in the world, but if you can't block and give Joe the time for them to get open, then you're screwed anyway... Yesterday, nobody could get open. Even the Cincy announcers talked about it.
  20. Yup... I've been to a couple of them down here. I was just asking, "Why do we play the dolphins every year"?
  21. He's not a-scared.... WTH
  22. If you're shedding tears everyday, it's not time.
  23. @1/28/01 used to super-impose some great images to the pools...
  24. No, no, and no again...... JMO... but NOO!
