  1. Ed Reed didn't finish his career in Baltimore...So be careful of your analogies. For that matter, the great Johnny U. didn't end his career with the Colt's either...Yet when you think of those two, Baltimore pops up automatically. It's a matter of perspective. That was basically Ed Reed's choice; not the organizations. They didn't cut him.
  2. THE PANTHERS MADE THEIR OPINON CLEAR WHEN THEY CUT HIM.

  4. Don't be a jerk billiejean.... no, not providing orange slices. The limited amount of play time he had, he performed very well. You bring up one play... Fact is that just about everyone has been happy with his progress since Weddle got here, took him under his wing and helped him out.
  5. Sami.... You're right. Even Gruden talked about Orr and his monster season. Especially for being an undrafted guy we picked up. He was Gruden's Grinder in the game against the Patriots. People who are condemning our drafts aren't looking too far. MOST other teams have done far worst. Many have their "One Hit Wonder" and some of the others are as much a bust or more.
  6. I have been involved in "organized football" for much longer than 5 years. One thing I can tell you there was a drastic improvement in Elam since Weddle has been here. As far as the salaries go... Ben Watson was injured in the final game of preseason that was unavoidable... He'll be back next year. Hester was a bust; yes, but that's the only one that I can say they may regret. To now have West and Dixon, keeping Forsett for part of the year was NOT a bad idea at all considering they knew that it would be a while before we got Dixon back. Injuries to Watson and Dixon were unavoidable. Bisciotti is a successful businessman, and I'm sure with being in the business for all these years, he understands all of that. Come on man.
  7. He's not going to come back here.... and he and Bisciotti do not get along. That was clear when he hired Harbs over Rex. Of which I couldn't be happier. Rex has been a disaster with every team. With his ego, I think he'd be difficult to manage too.
  8. He was promoted or moved to other teams for promotions... and was an unsuccessful Head Coach.
  9. I didn't say I necessarily wanted Pees back. But I will tell you one thing, and that is our secondary played way better than last year... completely. I would probably think or guess that maybe Leslie Frazier gets promoted. if you can get Norv, maybe. But really.... a 6th OC in 7 years????? and then we want to blame Joe for inconsistencies????? Just sayin.
  10. Some of us believe that Mike Preston is a complete idiot..... So, that, to me, isn't a valid argument.
  11. John, some of the fans are too angry right now to look at it in a positive way.
  12. Oh God, no Rex Ryan. I want nothing to do with either one of the Ryans. And besides, he'd never come back anyway....
  13. YUP... Absolutely. The kid started 11 games this year. He's missed a few plays here and there otherwise. He's a good corner.
  14. Not going to happen.
  15. They drafted Tavon Young... last year. They may look at it this year, but Jimmy is definitely a positive for this team.
  16. My heart breaks because I only wish we could have done more for Steve. What a fantastic guy. If only he had been a Raven sooner. I know my sentiment is shared with everyone when I say that WHENEVER he decides to hang up his cleats, he will be surely missed with all of our hearts.
  17. Benjamin Watson..... another AWESOME offseason add that not many people have taken into consideration. His getting injured was surely a loss for our team. Looking forward to seeing him here next season for sure.
  18. You're kidding right??? Either that or you're trolling. Come on man. Weddle was a bright spot, helped Elam immensely. Not drafting well???? This year was probably one of the best drafts we have had in YEARS.... Orr was an undrafted player having one hell of a season. Tavon Young is going to be an awesome Cornerback; already playing at a great level... Stanley made his value evident this year protecting Joe... It's nutz in here. Our front 7 on the defensive line was great.
  19. Ummmmm..... He already has a winning season. The Ravens have NEVER played for draft picks... and I sure as hell don't want them to. Why should we start that now. It's ridiculous... for what, one spot higher???
  20. I think that Weddle has because of his leadership in SD. CJ wore the helmet last season... and I thought he did also this year. I'd have to go check on that, but Mosley has been fine. Perriman has essentially been a rookie this year.
  21. I find it so interesting that every year lately, we have this discussion after a really tough loss; whether it's the final games of the season when we are playing to get into the dance, or if we are in the dance playing for our lives. There are about 10 to 15 teams who could only dream to be in this position every single year. I live in the midst of one of them... Jacksonville, Tampa Bay... and then there is Miami; who this year will be knocked out most likely in the first round. I'm just saying. Call me an eternal optimist, but we are really really close every single year (except last year of course). But I'm not sure that playing next week "for a better draft pick" is going to mean very much at all. I'm just sayin folks... Go out there and play your damn hearts out.
  22. The guy proved that without him on the field, we are a badly ranked secondary. With him on the field, we win games.
  23. They should play their hearts out for one reason only... The names on the backs of their jerseys. Pride and the Ravens way.
  24. They're done, Sami.
