Back in 1999 and 2000, we had a pair of average QB's named Banks and Dilfer making average at best salaries. I can easily remember the Ravens buying some seriously talented free agents. Guys like Sam Adams, Quadry Ismael, Shannon Sharpe, Rob Burnett, Mike McCrary, Goose, and Rod Woodson, et al. This is when Art Modell stated that this team is special and he was right. It begs the question, why can't we sign this kind of talent anymore? Is it because we don't have the money to sign them? And if so, is it because we are paying one guy 120 million dollars?

I don't know if he's locked down for a certain amount of time, but if he is, he should "spread the wealth" like they say in Obama land. We could acquire and pay some legitimate proven players from around the league, rather than having to rely on the talents of our draft to play this game for us. This way just ain't working. For the good of your team, Joe, take that pay cut. You certainly aren't earning what you're being paid now.

Consistent mistakes. They actually looked like the Keystone cops today. We might not even win 5 games this year. Injuries, penalties, no offensive line, no receivers, other than Wallace, no secondary, and just plain stupid mistakes are the ingredients to bad football. We might get blown out 54 to 0 in New England. It's embarrassing and just hard to watch this team get beat up like this game after game.
