  1. I can't stress this enough, the Ravens have to play a clean game. No ridiculous retaliatory penalties...cough Steve Smith cough..

Otherwise, with the talent that the Ravens have there is no reason why they can't beat the Patriots or any other team.

     We have the better Online

We have the better D line

I'd take Pitta over Bennett at TE any day

We have more talent at Receiver

We have a better ST unit by far

With a healthy Jimmy Smith, I like our secondary more.

This is THE time for the Ravens to show it with production on the field.

I can't honestly give a prediction because who knows what kind of craziness can unfold in Gilette, however, any Pats fan who thinks this game won't be contested until the last drive will be in for a long night.

You guys blow out Miami and should suddenly be favored vs a 10-2 NE team in 2nd place... idiots lol Now do you guys have a shot? Absolutely.. could you win? Absolutely but to day.. "oh there is no way we lose this game" is just complete homered idiocracy and disrespect to two legends that prove themselves time and time and time and time and time again.. making it to a minimum of the AFC title game each year and ya STILL DONT LEARN.. you guys haven't exactly been lighting it up this year at that.. Miami probably completely fell asleep.. just saying

Ha! Go figure, a Patriots fan with the handle "Football Knowledge" so cliche. It oozes of D-Baggery .  Kind of like your quarterback, head coach, your owner AND his crappy fake mac n cheese .

You are here because you are scared. You were seeking to be re affirmed by reading posts of Ravens fans conceding a loss before the game is even played.

We've gone up there and embarrassed you guys in your house before, and you know it.

You know that deep down that if you win, and you may, that it's going to take everything the Patriots have...trick plays, illegal formations, deflated footballs...everything.

Truth is, you are a punk, you have no life and you get off on getting a rise out of other teams fans. But don't worry, the Ravens will have you retreating to whatever fish collar Massachusetts s-hole you crawled out of.

  3. To beat the Patriots, you have to be clean relatively with the penalties, you can't have mental errors..like dropping gift interceptions or tipped balls.

Defensively, we should match up pretty well. The name of the game against Brady is PRESSURE. Force him to get the ball out quick, which he will..but for short gains. He doesn't like getting hit, he also doesn't like it when our guys get in his face..seriously. We have to play tough and nasty on defense, do anything you can to force him out of the pocket or get the ball out but they have to be smart. Can't give him any second chances, because he'll make you pay every time.

Also, COMMUNICATION. This is where having someone like Weddle back there will help tremendously if they try to pull out anything crazy.

Offensively, deal with the crowd noise. Flacco has to have a clean game. Also their linebackers are mostly big run stoppers , have to take advantage of them in coverage which is what we've done with some success in the past.

Not going to make a prediction on this game, because we have just as much of a chance to win as they do.

A win puts us that much closer to the division title. A loss makes the Philly game a must win to set the table for Week 16 and 17.

Flyers vs Pens. You should see the fights

You beat me to this one. That playoff series in 2011-12 was brutal. It just gets magnified even more because both teams have gone through stretches of owning the other in their home arena.

Flyers fans really only hate Crosby and Malkin to a lesser extent...and their championships .really they didn't have much of a rivalry before the current era.

I was a young Flyers fan in the 90's and some of my greatest memories were going to a few Flyers-Pens games...the list of all time greats on the ice in those was amazing. . getting to see the Flyers infamous Legion of Doom line on the ice with Mario and Jagr on the other side..unreal.

Patriots will be missing Gronk next monday when we take them on.... Suddenly this game feels awfully win-able with us getting Jimmy back on D + no gronk

If we could score more than 1 offensive touchdown per game, I'd agree with you. Really this whole thing is up to the offense.

If they can somehow find a way to be productive, the Ravens can beat any team in the league.

    GRONK DONE FOR THE SEASON!!

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000749361/article/rob-gronkowski-to-have-surgery-set-to-miss-rest-of-16

we can win the AFC - we just need our offense to pull its damn finger out!!

They still have a girl named Brady back there at quarterback...and there's no telling what loop holes Belichick will try to jump through when we meet them in Foxboro.

I just take a lot of pride in how scared they are of us up there.

  7. Didn't Norv Turner just get the Boot in Minnesota?

Honestly, the West Coast offense isn't right for this team. We had one DECENT (by our standards) year running it under Kubiak, partly due to Forsett having an in expected flash in the pan season running the ball.

The Ravens have a ton of speed at Receiver, size and speed at TE (when they aren't all hurt) yet our passing game is a slants and fullback screens. IMO the Ravens need to get back to a power run game with deep shots downfield...even with Cam's offense, we could muster more than one offensive touchdown per game ...which is why if I'm Bisciotti, im looking long and hard at Turner next year. He runs the same scheme that we've had most success with ..but better than Cam Cameron could ever dream of.

  8. Heres the unfortunate truth about Forsett.

    1. He would have never been a Raven if the Rice debacle didn't happen.

    2. He was brought in on the cheap as an insurance policy because he knew Kubiak's system

    3. Kubiaks system has made a lot of backs look great...Olandis Gary anyone?

    4. At this point..given Forsetts career prior to coming here, last season(before his injury) and thus far this season..I think 2014 was an outlier for him. Kubiak had a lot to do with our success running the ball that season. He's not a "feature" running back.

I think all hope for the running game lies in Allen and Dixon.

    Random. Thoughts On this game..

Hard fought win on the road against a team that was desperate to avoid going 0-3.

Defense gave up 17 points on the road, and closed it out at the end when it was on the line. I'll take that. Wright got picked on a little bit, but otherwise We pretty much held their receivers in check.

The Ravens are in the WIN column

Glad we have proof that the coleman catch was out of bounds. Tired of the Browns fans complaining about the taunting call. It's not a guarantee they would have scored but the coleman catch put 7 on the board for them

The Brown's fans can complain about 1 call they want.

They had a 20-0 lead, allowed the extra point to get blocked, then were outscored 23-0 the rest of the game. With a 20 point lead, letting the game come down to a singular call points to a complete collapse on the Brown's behalf.

By the book, it actually was a plenty.  In that situation, it's unfortunate that a ref would make a tick tack call like that..but it was a penalty by the book.

I went to the bar once, left my license out in my truck for some odd reason. Bartender wouldn't serve me although I'm obviously in my 30's. He was doing his job. I was kind of upset that I had to walk two blocks to my vehicle and back in single digit temperatures. But by the book, he was right, I was wrong. I dealt with it.

They should have never allowed the Ravens to get back into the game let alone take the lead.

  10. The team took a little while to wake up today. However, they weathered the storm and fought back to earn the win. There's something to be said about doing that vs a division opponent in their house.

After the first quarter, the defense shut them out the rest of the way.

Joe had a so so game, the stat line 25 of 45 for 300 plus and 2tds isn't too shabby even with the two picks. To me it's pretty obvious that the offense hasn't clicked just yet, I'm giving Joe some leeway because he played exactly 4 quarters of real football since last November. .

I think that the offense has some room to improve. The run game in particular needs to get rolling. Overall though, there is at least a ton of potential. Mike Wallace showing he's still got game.

Its only week 2 though, still a long road to go.

Check back in October for a better evaluation.

After the Browns game, we play Jags, Raiders, Redskins and Giants. All with very good passing attacks and all figure to have pretty successful offenses this season.

I'd give it at least 4-5 full games before any evaluation can be done.

I'd point out that, in 2015, in our first game of the year, we held the SB champs to 19 points and allowed about 220 total yards. We looked hungry and aggressive in that game. And we all know what happened the very next week and for several weeks after that.

Very true, have to reserve judgement for now. After some of the dreadful performances of last season,  they have a lot to prove.

So far, they look faster, more athletic, looks like Pees has changed some things up as well. Time will tell.

We saw some good runs and some big plays and generated plenty yards and ToP on offense (We had neither last season). I don't know why people are so down on Trestman. It's Joe's first proper NFL game. I see the potential and think that our offense will be just fine. Lets see how things work out against Cleveland.

Of we are gonna smash Cleveland. Watched their game vs Philly. They looked like hot steamy garbage from top to bottom.

  13. Good win. Buffalo has a good secondary,  so being able to move the ball through the air like we did was great. Definitely some thing to build on. Perriman, Wallace and Pitta all made big plays.

Defense looked better than expected,  didn't get any turnovers but they got off the field when they needed to.

Not a fan of throwing it on 3rd and short as much as we did.

Those Oline penalties early in the game stalled the offense when they were clicking and cost us some points.

  14. Trestman did a fine job last season. True, before the injuries to Smith, Forsett and Flacco, the offense struggled at times, but they were also missing the LT, and had sub par play from Wagner at RT.

They have to run the ball with success. That's Raven football. Run the ball, control the clock, make big plays downfield passing.

As far as Trestman  being on the hot seat, I don't think so. If the Offense completely fails with a full cast..no major injuries etc.. Maybe.  I doubt that happens though. I think the offense is going to light it up.

Per Profootballrankings.com, our defensive/offensive stats in 2015 were:

☆Passing TD's allowed- 30, Int's we got- 6, gave up 6.4 yds per pass, while we got 21 td's and 21 int's on opponents and got 6.1 yds per pass.

☆Rushing TD's allowed were 10, at 4yds per rush, while we got 8 TD's and 3.9 yds per rush on opponents.

☆We were penalized 122 times for 1153 yds, opponents were penalized 103 times for 748 yds.

Is all this a result of Suggs being gone? Or could it be defensive philosophy? What did the FO do? They brought in Leslie Frazier, Weddle, Powers, moved Webb to safety, and added picks. What I want to see, is do the added players help Pees philosophy? Soft zone scheme Pees runs commonly referred to as "Bend but dont break" , has gotten us 1 superbowl, however that was with Ray and Ed still here. I personally do not like the scheme, not the coach. I want to see a more aggressive press man, more pressure on qb. The questions needing to be answered are, can the new blood step up? Does Doom and or Siz still have anything left in the tank? Are the pieces we have on the defensive chess board being used correctly? Time will tell, but regardless, it will be fun watching. Did not like letting Brooks go though.

I understand what you're saying. We've all grown accustomed to seeing a Ravens defense that is ferocious. Problem is that we've had a big deficiency of talent or production in the secondary..due to just bad play, injuries, inexperienced players starting etc..

I'd also like to see the defense be more aggressive, but I'd also like to see less blown coverages when we are in a good defense and missed tackles that lead to game changing plays. Remember a short lived Ravens DC by the name of Greg Mattison? You couldn't get more vanilla than Mattisons defense. Yet they still were a top 10 defense, because the players on the field executed.

I think it's half a dozen of one and 6 of the other...Pees needs to change some things, put his players in a better position to succeed..but there has also got to be far better execution on the field. There's no excuse for the blown coverages, missed tackles and just bad fundamentals that have actually cost us big games.

In that 2012 run, the Ravens didn't hurt themselves with those types of mistakes...on the other hand, the 2014 team made those mistakes in a game that they should have won in NE that ended our season.

At the end of the day, I'd be fine with a defense that just lines up and plays well, tackles well, and doesn't blow coverages like we've been doing. The exotic blitzes and all of the Tom foolery don't work if you can't beat the guy in front of you. ..but peeps does need to be better. Please note that I said that Lmao..not trying to be an apologist.

  16. I had an injury that laid me up for a while, I stopped playing sports and working out..it was all I could do to get through a day at work. So I gained anal ton of weight over the course of a year..because I then got lazy and addicted to sugar as well lol

Anyway, this worked wonders for me:

    NO SODA

NO SWEETS- candy, snacks, ice cream,ect..

I cut down on bread a lot

Replaced red meat entirely with Chicken or Turkey. Those still have to be prepared in a healthy manner, so no chicken marinated in olive oil ect..

Increased vegetable intake ton..no butter or dressings on veggies.

NO FAST FOOD.. If I had no choice, I'd find a saladworks or some place other than drive thru burgers, chicken or pizza..

I also gave up on coffee until I could learn to drink it without an exorbitant amount of sugar and creamer.

One thing I would do though is treat myself to one meal per week of something outside of my diet rules which would keep me from just nose diving off the wagon.

I lost 55 lbs in about 6 month's, with another 10lbs a few months later.

That was 90 percent diet, 10 percent gym.

I still stick to it pretty much to this day

  17. I laugh when people get up in arms over some NFL network off-season propaganda.

These guys are paid big bucks to make incendiary statements about players which turn into ratings and revenue for the NFL.

Joe Flacco is an excellent quarterback. But the truth is that the NFL and most fans have fetishized statistics so much that he'll never be recognized as one of the league's top 5 ( which he is) because he doesn't throw for 4500 yards every season.

What he DOES do is show up in the biggest of moments, and surprise surprise usually equals or outperforms the "elites" Brady,Ben,Manning ect when we play head to head.

Ladies and Gents, don't buy into this nonsense. Flacco is our guy, he's both tough as nails and cool as they come when the pressure is on... In the playoffs in Gilette or Mile High or Pittsburgh ..nobody wants to see January Joe and the Ravens roll into town because they know deep down that we can beat them. Because we have.

     Besides.

If David Carr calling anybody overrated isn't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is .
