  1. People will buy it, because at the end of the day-or season, it's still cheaper than going out to a bar or restaurant every sunday, dropping 40-50 bucks or more on food/drinks just so you can watch a game.

The NFL's TV coverage areas are a joke too.

Why is it possible that on a Sunday, here in Delaware..1 hour from Baltimore we will be forced to watch a Miami- San Diego game over a Ravens game. I understand when they and the Eagles are carried on the same network at the same time, they show the Philly game instead..but geeze! I think there were more Cleveland Browns games on tv here than Ravens games.

Why? So they can sell rediculously priced TV packages to people like me and some of you. So, I've gone old school. I found a free radio app that I can get the Ravens radio broadcast feed on and listen to the games while pretending to do yard work.

All cable providers should be allowed to have NFL packages...and I don't mean Red Zone..which is pretty much the same coverage you are going to get on NFLN from 1-4 every sunday.

  2. We have always had success with veteran Wrs. They are reliable security blankets and can help develop and mentor some of the younger guys on our team. Well worth it.

lol like who? Houshmanzadeh was terrible except for the one catch he made to beat Pit.

Stokely, waste of roster spot. Dallas Clark, waste of roster spot. Dante Stallworth did nothing for us, Lee Evans cost us a trip to the SB..did zero all year before that.

The only two vet receivers we hit on really were Mason and Boldin.

Until the playoff run last year, Boldin under performed his contract by ALOT.

Just saying that if we cant run the ball or protect the quarterback, it won't matter who's out there at receiver

  3. Just read an article about the Ravens being a potential spot for Steve Smith. We don't need to keep wasting money on 35 year old receivers. We have plenty of talent in the cubbard at receiver in Torrey, Marlon, Streeter, Jacoby, will also have a healthy Pitta..plus whoever they draft.

Spend money on Oline...only after we have that taken care of should we bring in vet receivers. Flacco's knee injury last year was luckily not as bad as it could have been. .and no matter how over paid you think the guy is, we can't win without him. That's a fact.

  4. I wish we would have kept Balfour. I am still worried about not having a proven closer.

I really think that Hunter is going to be fine. He's been very solid since he's gone to the bullpen and has a ton more velocity as well. IMO I think they weighed out the production they'd get from a Johnson or Balfour and the money that they'd have to spend vs saving it and getting the same production out of Hunter..and putting that saved money into grabbing a starter and another bat..which they did.

I have a feeling that Hunter is going to have plenty of 2 and 3 run leads to work with.

  5. Cruz is an Oriole . https://www.csnphilly.com/article/report-orioles-and-nelson-cruz-agree-one-year-8-million-contract-0

I'm mixed on it... I want to win, I also want to be a classy org... Steriod guy.. can he hit for power without them? If he can, the lineup is scary.

Sane here, the guy served his suspension..so I say for the price...in this lineup ill take Cruz all day.

Food for thought. ..The Yanks and Sox get the advantage of being able to have an endless well of cash to blow on whoever they want. Chris Davis, Weiters or possibly Hardy could wind up as a Yank or Red Sock....so ya know what? If we take 1 guy who was connected to biogenesis who can help us re claim our rightful place in this division..I'm all for it.

  6. Now the rotation is looking pretty solid. Now you don't have to force Gauzman to be your 5th starter if he needs more time.

    1.Jiminez

    2.Tilly

    3.Chen

    4.Norris

    5.Gonzo

Now...who's the DH and who us the closer?

.The closer situation is not quite as much of a panic as some are making it out to be.. I mean up until 2012, nobody thought that Johnson was going to amount to anything..also the Red Sox just won the World Series with freaking Koji as their closer...we can find SOMEBODY

  7. This has got to be the absolute worst period in music history.

The classics never get old though.

I've been on a Skynyrd kick lately..sure everyone knows free bird and sweet home alabama..but wow their guitarists, Steve Gaines, Allen Collins, Gary Rossington are all extremely amazing and under rated guitarists...

If you wanna hear some great guitar work, check out I know a little. Fantastic

  8. Flacco bashers need to give him a break. He is not the reason we called a predictable offensive game all season. Joe also probably didnt enjoy getting knocked down every time he dropped back to pass.Give him credit for not calling out his o-line that was the worst in the league !

You'll never get that through the heads of anyone here.

There are a few here who want to pin it directly on Joe, and their only argument as to why.

  9. It doesn't matter who the OC is if the quarterback that the franchise made the highest paid player in football doesn't want to work outside the facility.

It's pathetic that the organization has to try and lite a fire under his behind be releasing this news to the media. It's no wonder he and the receivers can't get on the same page.

For the love of Zeus, you're beating that drum TO DEATH give it a rest

  10. We have the pieces already. Just need a new C and to go back to old school power man run schemes.

We do have to give Flacco a top flight weapon though. Hell even Cleveland has one now in Gordon. We paid Flacco, no we need to actually give him some pieces to run with.

Agreed. As for Receivers, we really could use a posession type of receiver. We already have the big play guys in Smith, Brown and Jones.

  11. Depends on the price. We have a few options at KR..none quite as good as Jacoby though.

Also, depending on how they feel about the WR position moving forward. Deonte Thompson is also a burner but hasn't been able to see many snaps. Doss has progressed a little..but still not a good 2nd or 3rd receiver option. So that will leave us with Smith and Brown. If that's the case. We NEED Jacob..bad
