  1. Let me guess, you're a huge supporter of Marlon and Aiken just like Demetrius Williams, Yamon and Clayton huh? Poor Flacco is going to get pummeled in the pocket due to lack of seperation or unwillingness to throw the ball to someone with the dropsies.

Lol when did I ever say that?

I'm just saying that the Playoffs are out of reach. It's not a loser mentality, it's realism. You need a reality check. Bringing in 1 receiver is not going to magically spark the Ravens to go on an 8 game winning streak..which may not even be enough anyway.

Reality is that this team does not have enough HEALTHY talent to go on that sort of run.

Second, Whatever you said about Clayton and Figurs is hogwash..I never stated that I supported them at all.

Third, my advice to you is to calm down just a tad, and start thinking with your brain, not your heart.. I would love nothing more than to see the Ravens make another January run..but it's not happening. .and that's OK.

It's OK because it will afford the organization a chance to draft some more quality talent to go with players returning next season. .as well as a chance to evaluate what they've got ie..do they send Brown or Aiken packing?ect..

They will be back in full effect next season. So just enjoy it for what it's worth.

Therapy session over. I'll send you a bill.

  2. The good...

-joe Flacco- made some great throws today, what he's been able to do with who is on the field has been impressive.

-Marc trestman..I am a critic of his at times, but I think he called a very good game.

-defense finally getting off the field in a critiacal moment to give the offense a chance.

    The bad-

The officials-I have serious doubts that there I not some sort of bias going on. There's just no explanation for so,e of the calls that have gone against us week in and week out.

  3. You really want to defend Flacco, don't you? You just can't let it go. Watch the replay again. On top of throwing the ball way over Gilmores head. The guy that no one blocked was still 3-4 yards away from him when he threw that ball. He actually threw it and the guy still never even touched him. He had time to set up quickly and throw a strike.

After watching it more, the guy Hurst tried to block actually was closer to sacking him than the free blitzer.

You are they one who can't let it go?

Funny how everyone else who knows what they are talking about around here pretty much has said the same thing to you

    You are WRONG. Good day.

  4. Ok so we are almost at the halfway point of the season.

How do you feel about Trestman'so performance so far?

We DO have to keep in mind the injuries that have occurred. .guys who have missed games or out for the season.

My personal feelings are that this is more his offense than Kubiak's offense from last year.

I don't like the play selection at times. We had 3rd and goal from the 5 against Cleveland. .he runs a draw from the shotgun which Cleveland snuffed out quick..

I hate the jet sweeps, Campanaro scored on one..but had to make guys miss in the backfield first.

No too big on FB screens either..yes they can be a good drive starter. .but you can't start every half with the same play as he has done for 2 weeks.

All in all I'd give him a C+ grade so far. Honestly, I was hoping we would get Gase and run that EP system..not a big fan of West Coast Offense.

  5. The 07 season was mind numbing.

The only highlight of that season was the game VS New England when we had them BEAT..before Rex Ryan called a time out.

This season, we aren't getting blown out at all and we've had chaneces to win each game. Our lack of talent tips the scales against us ultimately.

The 07 season was horrendous, Billick totally lost the team.

Honestly, I feel that the Ravens have a lot of promise for the future. We need to draft well and manage the cap well starting this off season. The 07 team was similar that there was a strong core there but injuries and lack of a QB killed the season.

  6. I'm done being upset over a clearly biased officiating crew. It's all good. I'm not even mad. We've benefited at times in the past and got calls to go our way because we were the home team.

That said, I do think these refs have it out for us. Please don't write this off and let me explain. See, we've been an undisciplined group this year and we've earned, imo, probably extra attention that comes from officials as a consequence. They're likely watching us closer because of our reputation and history of lack of discipline.

That's just how it goes sometimes and it's up to the team to fix this reputation.

How about the Ravens being able to play at home on Monday night?

Look back and count how many MNF games we've hosted? Yup.... NFL isn't biased?

  7. The referees also missed a PI on Tony Jefferson. I know you're unlikely to get a call there in that situation, but I think Crockett failed to go up because he just got completely pushed in the back. There was pretty clear arm extension.

I thought I saw that at first. Crockett raised his arms like he was expecting a call, but nothing.

    That zebra crew was atrocious.

The call against Urschel took us from 2nd and 4 to 1st and 15 and killed our drive. We were moving the ball pretty well.

Also, Johnson'said forward progress was OBVIOUSLY stopped. That was probably the worst of the worst. ...AFTER that on the same drive, Mosley was being held big time on the TD play. Palmer rolled right, Mosley would have had him but he was held ..dudes hand was literally inside his shoulder pads.

I can't believe that they didn't overturn the Ross fumble either.

We would have won that game if not for all of that.

We didn't help ourselves much on the field either, but in an 8 point game the refs GAVE them at least 10...

  8. You are just a fool if you think he couldn't have thrown that ball harder than that. Gilmore had no chance of getting to that pass either. You may need to get to the eye doctor.

No actually, I do know what I saw. He had to unload it he threw it high knowing he had a 6ft 6 tight end there. He also had to throw it quick to save as much time on the clock as he could. Not on joe. The other team gets paid too buddy, and they arep etty damned good.again.

  9. I agree with you that injuries have hurt this defense, but Pees is still to blame for a lot of these problems. Jimmy Smith is still playing 8-10 yards off a lot and receivers are running right past him. Pees does not give Wright safety help when he clearly needs it. The only reason our defense looked great Week 1 was because Manning is all but finished. Pees had the same mediocre game plan then as he does now and I wont go as far to say its all his fault, but we have seen enough where a new voice is needed. Id rather see our secondary get beat by playing aggressive and physical rather then playing soft and off coverage with no safety help, he fails to adjust when things go poorly.

I disagree. Pees has tried everything, and nothing works.

Remember, we have not pass rushers either so when you are blitzing and have man to man coverage..with these guys no less. .you don't try to jam receivers at the line unless you're asking for that 60 you bomb.
