Another thing to remember, Kubiaks Offensive line out there in Denver wasn't exactly pushing anyone around last week. The problem was simple, they have two excellent pass rushers in Miller and Ware, our tackles couldn't hold up. They got beat plain and simple, it wasn't scheme or coaching. Actually, Hurst seemed to hold up at least a little better in the 2nd half than in the 1st, so you can attribute that to some coaching adjustments more than anything. They were also sending more guys than we could block on running situations.. I'm no Offensive guru here, but if I'm Trestman, I wouldnt have called it much differently, like many people said..we had receivers getting open, but no time to get the ball out. Here's another thing that I saw after re-watching the game..Forsett actually made a few mistakes as far as not getting into some holes that were actually there on a few plays.. Overall, Coaching I'd say was decent on offense. If I'm Trestman, I wouldn't have done much different..maybe try a few more bootlegs, and quick tosses or sweeps just to give those OLB's something else to think about, and get them running, maybe they get a little slower late in the game and you get that extra second to plant your feet and drive the ball, or find that open receiver , they were just both playing the quarterback and reacting to the run...hence why I prayed for Joe's safety on play action.
