Trade No. 16 to Houston (they need a QB) we get no. 25 and No 89 in the 3rd,
That will give us 79,89, and 99 in the 3rd rnd, we draft Hasaan Reddick at number 25... we use one of the third rounders to draft Sid Jones and let him recover for this year....
Zach Brown is still available and it even might be an upgrade at LB over Orr. If we could get Claiborne as well that would be a plus.
Agree , Z Brown would be a good fit at an attractive price, We have so many needs I doubt WR will be our first pick. Mangold would be a nice piece, but the surprise may be Boldin.....
Zuttah was just horrible, the eye test on JZ we could see blown calls and just terrible angles he took , hope he has success for different team, but I think Urshel could be better and a lot cheaper...
Just a thought , trade back 5 or 6 spots get an extra 3rd, draft Hasaan Reddick in the first, take S Jones with the extra 3rd he can set and rehabilitate for this year
Great Story, instantly becomes a fan favorite...
So we have Kaufusi, Urban, Carl Davis, Willie Henry, B.Williams, M. Pierce and Timmy Jernigan rotating on the D-line with Suggs, Judon, Z. Smith and Correa rotating at OLB. I think if we add a pass rusher in the draft and the youngsters play hard, we'll be good.
Pass rusher is key. DB's are only as good as the pass rush. Of course there are exceptions with a specially talented DB but they're few and far between.
We need to find a way to draft Hasaan Reddick in the 2nd round, he is Z Orr with more upside
Don't underestimate B Will, he is a difference maker , not just a gap filler, there is a HUGE difference between Brandon and Pierce, we are lucky to retain B-Will....
Would love S. Jones (CB) or C.Davis(WR) But really hoping to land H Reddick in the second even if we have to move up a little (THis guy is the 2nd K Mack)
See Ya fellow fans , I enjoyed our time discussing our Ravens. Yes I have complained , Yes I have thought I should be the coach and GM, Yes this board was just for enjoyment, but remember I will always Ride with My RAVENS ,,Win or Lose they are the best franchise in all of Pro Sports... God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck to my man Elvis "Doom" Dumervil , Elvis was a complete Beast at my Alma Matter University of Louisville and also be came a Great Raven.. I for one am sad to see him go, but I completely understand and agree that this is the right move for the Ravens..... It may be Haason Reddick time at the 16th pick
( he could be the next Khalil Mack)
Could save a couple Million , if we sign Torrey and cut M Wallace, both the same player, Torrey is a Raven at heart...
7 minutes ago, J.O.14 said:I have never questioned the effort of this team since 2012 regardless of our record. I feel the Ravens always come out and play hard, always. I think any fan can see that. We just haven't had the talent we needed...
JHarbaugh doesn't hold anyone accountable, its always the same, yes they play hard most of the time , but that's not enough, the desire to be great and the ability for a staff to coach players up is what separates the good teams from the great teams (see NE) I can count at least three games where Harbaugh and Wigs either cost us the game, or made the game closer that it should have been. This staff has been stagnant , from player evaluations to on the field adjustments , John Harbaugh seems to be a fine Man, but lets hope he can become a great coach, and right this ship, this may be his last opportunity as a Raven....
Joe's 2012 Season had a lot to do with Ray Lewis coaching the team up, he would not let players get away with less than 100% effort, since then ,, well John Harbaugh and his cronies have sucked the life out of this team , I am Hoping G Romans can light a fire, god knows Marty Wig is plain AWFUL, cant wait for E Decosta to take over Football operations ,...
The fact is the Ravens FO must find a way to get younger and more talented, this will mean hard cuts across the board, I am with most of you in hoping Mike Wallace is not one of the cuts made.
Agree with kickoff situation, so tired of kick extra point then commercial, Kick ball through end zone (touchback) another commercial, two plays lasting 6 seconds then 6 minutes of commercials just start at the 25yd line after score...
I'll give joe a pass for last year, because of his knee injury. He absolutely needs more playmakers for this year, seems unlikely we can sign any of the three FAs , the good news is we are fairly deep at BW's spot and Wagner can be replaced, Kyle , well maybe we can convert one of our TEs (we have like a hundred) to the hybrid slot.
Joe's contract has always been a sore spot to SOME fans , but not me, do I wish it could have been a smaller number, for cap reasons yes, but Joe is better than what any other QB we could get at this point, Those who think Joe is not the answer, look at- Philly, Washington, Minnesota, Chicago, San Fran, Rams, Arizona, Miami, Buffalo, Jets, Jax, Houston, Cleveland, Bengals, Denver, KC, San Diego.. Now tell me do you really want to get rid of Joe? I would like to Draft a QB, but this team needs a lot of youth in other areas first.
Jabal Sheard === YES YES YES
Oh I get the jest of what you are trying to say, I just believe you are taking these Fan boards way to seriously. These articles and comment sections are for the Fans to voice their opinion , and I think all fans know (we are an educated fan base) that the Ravens FO, nor the coaching staff is hanging out here trying to get info, so , enjoy the hyperbole that is fandom. And remember this is just a game, every team has good and bad years, but as a FAN you never stop supporting your team , no matter what...
I think maybe Oz should make everyone leave the room except for Eric Decosta , and let ED pick the 1st round....

Money does not lock Joe into the starting spot, this is the NFL where losses and fan pressure will cause desperation even with the most lucrative contracts.(Texans 2016, Broncos 2015) Joe could easily be let go if he continues his down hill trend its just depends on the team thinks it is worth a 20+ mil in dead money (year depending).
1. The reason I specifically said 2019 is because until then, the cost of letting Joe go exceeds the cost of him being here until then. So while I suppose they "could" release him, they'd have a cap figure that would grow by $4M just to let him go vs him staying, so it would be financially beneficial to keep him.
2. Neither of those teams you referenced are comparable, particularly given that Joe was better than both of those QBs significantly in 2016, and neither of those deals had the guaranteed money that his does.
I think being a diehard fan , going to games, buying expensive ravens gear, watching games is exactly the type of fans that the Ravens front office cares about. This is a comment section. I will and I encourage all fans to voice their opinions , I think especially after Spending thousands of dollars per seasons we have the right......SMH

The squeelers have won Super Bowls with the lowest payroll in the past is where Ozzie learned this method of spotting talent in all players but if the QB is stinking up the place this method will look bad to some! The sun "Rises and Sets" on the QB PERIOD! SMH Brady makes his players look good and check what spots they get drafted! Smh
P-Dawg this post is hard to read, and lacks valid points . It wouldn't hurt if you used a comma or two....
I love B-Will , but we have some depth at his position , and we need help at so many other areas , just doesn't make sense to FT him...
The Ravens have enough to worry about (how to get past 8-8) than to care if Cleveland picks up a backup QB(Taylor) the Ravens FO should know this is one of the most Critical off-season's we have here in like forever. Oz and company needs to get this Draft right this year. this could be the year where it may benefit us to trade up and get a star rather to trade back to get role players...
