Rated 5th best 4-3 DE by PFF, I'm surprised he wasn't taken yet. Assuming the injuries scare more than anything.
I think it was more his inability to fullfill the expectation as a first round pick rather than his late injury.
Afterall he didn't change position as he keeps lining up as a 4-3 DE, nor he has a better core around to justify any reduction of pressure. Why didn't he perform the same in Denver?
Statistically, PFF has him playing just 350 snaps facing almost no double-teams and recording a final -1.9 against the run.
So I think the PFF ranking is just too generous and doesn't consider the lesser level of the match-ups he recently faced or how much the playcall can have helped him.
Very good pick. Probably the best T available.
I also liked the Melvin Ingram pick. He's no top tier, but had games in which he looked unblockable (Denver, New England, Seattle); plus, he's young and he plays in the less talented Dline in the league (the only good one is Liuget, but even he can't show up as he's mostly lined up at 0T or as a DT when they set a 4 men front, while he's a 3T).
Ravensnick is on a 6 hour clock remember.
If i am up caus ehe is skipped let me know
You're up in half an hour then.
is ravensnick on a pick timer?
I think he's on a 6h skip, but I can be wrong.
Great value in Shields. If medically cleared up, he is a very good player.. my second left on board.
My vote is to keep the current rule. There is no reason to wait longer than necessary - how many times can one get caught in something unexpected? People willing to take the boards and speed up the game are always around, there really aren't any excuses to be skipped multiple times.
I entirely agree.
Great pick in Graham.
please vote in the poll!
I did, 1 millisecond after you opened the thread ![]()
I would keep it the way it is right now, works fine for me
Same here.
There's a player who I'm extremely surprised to see still available. Too bad I forgot to write him down on my board, I would have taken him over Ware in a heartbeat.
I know there are a few other guys left, just think he is gonna be pretty good so I took a little chance with him, we will see in a year if it paid off
Ye sure, even in 2-3.. it wouldn't be fair to evaluate him on a 1year basis only (look at Wagner).
If this pans out yours starts to be a very solid Oline.
I watched the 5x08 two hours ago... I still keep nerdgasming.
I think he is one of the safest picks in this years draft
I can't make names (I know this rule
) , but I remember people and scouts accordingly sharing the same feeling toward those linemen who have struggled..but hey, maybe he turns to be a steal.
No hate, just a different approach to the game; I'm a little more conservative.
not planning on let him play at T
Ye, probably I would do the same. Just saying that there were few other Olinemen I would have gone with at this point and that I generally prefere 'certainties' to high-risk/ high-reward picks.
Well, why I picked Scherff, I think he is one of the best available OL left, maybe the best, and IMO he has potential to be really great, he can play multiple spots, plays with tenacity and finishes plays. I love his effort and upside, as well as his versatility so I had to go with him at this point, he may be a rookie, but he is gonna kick some butt right away
Honestly, I would have waited 2-3 more rounds to snatch him since there are 4-5 good (and proven) Ts still left on board.
Sure.. the upside, but how many other linemen taken in the top10 in these past few years had it and actually rank in the bottom of their category rankings?
Bust? Homerun? We'll see.. the risk is high and full of terrors.
Oh, no. No turns to be lost at all my friend. Please keep the selection. The only rule in that regard is that we can't change from one available player to another. But if somebody chooses a player who's already taken, they have the right to immediately change it to a player who is still on the board.
Now that my most asinine side came out I'm pretty sure this won't happen twice ;D
Thanks for clearing it up.
Oh Jaizuz... fry me.. idk why I kept doing ALT+F7 (obviously with no result) today instead of ctrl F.. At least I got the F right XD
Let's just delete it totally and have me losing a turn? Don't know how you guys use to do.
Oh.. how does that even work now? I even checked through the last rounds and didn't see him...
With the 268th overall pick, the Banana Republic select:
DeMarcus Ware, OLB
Oh boy.. This run on safeties and centers killed me.. I think I'm gonna line up my grandma in front of Tannehill.
Love the Curry pick btw.. Huge potential if you let him play in his (more comfortable) 4-3.
With the 247th overall pick, the Banana Republic select:
Martavis Bryant, WR

Wow two highly rated players off my board.. It starts to get thin.
Levy*
Eheh my bad.. I did my best considering it was 23 here and had a 'tough' night ahead. I'm even surprised I got the right picture tbh. ![]()
With the 182nd overall pick, the Banana Republic select:
DeAndre Levy, ILB

I can run them in madden for fun since I have the rosters updated
I like the idea, even tho judging each team on a one-SB-run basis isn't probably the ultimate goal of this specific game (for those already mentioned reasons).
If we consider the simulation as a partial judgement only, why not, it would be fun imo.
