Yea, was having the same issue which is why i went WR with this pick. Garcon is getting up there, but i think he still has some of the most reliable hands in the game and the guy just gets open. And since my team is gonna pound the rock, he'll be able to convert 1st downs on 3rd and 4 or 5 and be a threat in the red zone for me.

It's starting to be slim pickings at the position, but theres still value to be had.

Garcon was also in my plans just not before next round.

I think Floyd can be a great blitzer and zone defender. He's very quick and very physical.

I think he can develope into a great blitzer too. I just think Georgia shouldn't have played him at ILB as much as they did tho.. no way he can sustain a lineman's pull or shred blocks effectively. In my team he wouldn't really have to face those big guys getting to the second level and expose his weaknesses. That's why I decided to pull the trigger, despite it might be a little early.

Crush sent me your board but I suppose you'll be up to make a pick? Which will be very good, since I'm going to pack it in - early start tomorrow.

Yeah I went to sleep when I sent him but I'm online again since some hours. It's always just a matter of 7-8 hours as I'm afk but almost otc.
So don't worry this time, I'm making it.
However, we'll be in a similar situation at least a few more times so I'll be sending both you and Crush my top players by then ;)

Appreciate the heads up, doing this off a cell phone is harder than expected (can't use search function) but think I finally got mine updated

;) Yes it's quite a struggle from the mobile as you can't even add a picture immediately. It's like doing only half of the job but at least you don't keep the others waiting.

With the 421st pick, team noob selects...

    Donte Moncrief (wr)

Sill on mobile, plz let me know if he was taken already

He wasn't.. nice pick btw. I would've liked him as my #3 WR, but I still had bigger needs to fill and higher rated players on board.
I'm also updating the big board so don't you worry bout it.

  6. @rmw10

We'll be back at it in few weeks/months I guess.

My biggest wonder is why asking a guy to gain weight and apparently switch position if he has to be the 4th on the depth chart, or even 5th (assuming both Pitta and Boyle are back), then end up on the PS and get scooped by another team. I just don't find a sense in this nor a reason for the team wanting to keep the most unexperienced guy in a position we're extremely stacked at. Idk.. we'll find it out :D

@Italian Raven here are my comments so I don't have to quote the entire thing.

    1.  Waller officially moved to TE, so I doubt he factors into the WR conversation.  Of course, you can just move him to TE and it doesn't change anything.  I like him, but I don't think he has much of a shot as it currently stands.

    2.  Pitta probably isn't going on PUP.  They'll let him practice and see if he can do it.  The only way he ends up on IR again is if he has a setback or actually hurts himself.

    3.  Matt Elam isn't suspended.

    4.  It's obviously early, but reports from OTAs have Forsett as getting nearly all of the reps with the 1s with no one even coming close.  I saw that some of the vet or obvious starters were sitting out a portion of one of the practices, and Forsett was among them.  Things can chance, but I don't think it's a money decision with him.

    5.  For me at least, Reynolds makes the 53 because they're not willing to risk him to waivers.  There was a lot of obvious excitement over that pick.  Unless he flat out can't play, he'll likely make it.  Sure, he might be a weekly inactive, but I still see him on the 53 in most cases.  He might end up being the primary returner.

    1. Yeah, Waller is a hybrid kinda player, like Funchess.. so it's hard to link him as a TE when he's likely getting most of the reps in the slot. And as you also say, it doesn't really matter into the equation.
    2. do you think he's going to be in the final 53? I'm not sure he can fully heal as the season begins and we've seen many times some of our players ending up in the IR without a serious reason.. we could, perhaps, speculate about him not being ready and the team camuflages this with a "hamstring" (or whatever) kind of excuse just in order to keep him around but without having him counting against the '53'.
    3. I also didn't know a brick bout Elam but I swear I read it before.. I'm looking for it in my google history and editing the comment.
    4. of course just speculation.. it's way too early to predict eventual cuts. We cut Jacoby Jones for a mere 700k when he was our #3 WR and starting KR.. now we are 7-8M under the cap with Williams, Wagner and Tucker to extend.. I wouldn't be surprised if we cut Forsett.
    5. I wouldn't know how to use him, seriously. You keep a #7 WR to play only short routes when another gets hurt? He can't be any better than a Givens or Campanaro.. also, he can't play ST but still take the spot of someone who can; we would have to change the gunner and likely see Waller go if let in the PS. I think he has a bigger market value than Raynolds.

    Edit: http://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/BAL
that's where I saw Elam being suspended

  8. I know this will not be popular around here, but it's early and every prediction (whether that is 'conservative' or far-fetched) is equally distant from the final picture.

    OFFENSE (24)
    QB (2): Flacco, Mallett
    RB (3): Allen, Dixon, West
    FB (1): Jusczyck
WR (7): Smith Sr, Aiken, Perriman, Wallace, Butler, Moore, Waller
    TE (3): Watson, Gillmore, Williams

    C (1): Zuttah

    DEFENSE (26)

    3/5 T (4): Guy, Jernigan, Urban, Kaufusi

ILB (4): Mosley, Orr, McClellan, Brown

S (4): Webb, Weddle, Brooks, Levine

    ST (3)
    K (1): Tucker

    LS (1): Cox

    PR/KR: Moore/Dixon

    Practice Squad/Injury reserve
    Michael Campanaro, WR (IR)
    Dennis Pitta, TE (IR/PUP)
    Kapron Lewis-Moore, DE (IR)
    Matt Skura, C
    De'Ondre Wesley, G/T
    Vladimir Ducasse, G
    Lorenzo Taliaferro, RB
    Victor Ochi, OLB
    Daniel Brown, WR
    Keenan Reynolds, WR
    Patrick Onwuasor, ILB
    Julian Wilson, CB

[Nick Boyle, TE and Matt Elam, S are suspended]

    My take is:
1)I don't believe the Ravens, who badly needed defensive playmakers, drafted an OT if they weren't sure they couldn't start him day 1. We have to consider that two QBs went overdrafted at #1 and #2, which leaves us with one of the 5 highest rated prospects in the draft. For what we know Stanley could have even been a top 3, at this point. This leaves us with a new starting LT, while our former is unable to switch position; Monroe is too soft and injury prone to play G. Thus, he's a waste of money.
Also, I don't believe our #1 pick is going to play out of position, not even for 1 year. Not only he doesn't fit inside because of his style (Tunsil would've been better in this case) but Harbaugh also made it pretty clear: "have you ever seen him playing inside? no".
The 4,4M that we retain by cutting him now are much needed, as we must extend B.Williams and try to keep Wagner before the end of the season.
2)Same goes for Forsett. It's 2,3M savings for a guy who was never meant to be a bell cow. In such a crowded backfield, with RBs that complement each others well, that's a too high price to ignore. Kendrick Lewis is in the same situation: crowded position, below average play,  and almost 1M savings.
    3) I don't get why everybody keeps listing Reynolds within the top 53 players on the roster. There's no way he can contribute after switching to a completely new position, nor he will help as a gunner or in any way on ST, which Waller will.

@Italian Raven love the Corey Graham pick... was going to select him here. Surprised he fell this far. Wouldve loved him in my secondary for the flexibility in that he can line up all over as a safety, outside or in the nickel.

    thanks
As you say, he was just too versatile to pass on him one more time; also, he doesn't have any major flaw to his game.
