Well according to the post you are quoting they have Facebook and other social media platforms that are more popular than this site.

Also some guy who is the Auckland isn't generating revenue for the Ravens.  No TV revenue, No ticket revenue.  The Ravens aren't responsible for creating a social network for people who aren't even their customers

Buying merchandise doesn't make me a customer? Oooook..

I don't live in the US either and I bought an Ed Reed jersey, a towel, a football, a winter and a summer hat ( I'm sure I'm even missing something). I bought my gf a Torrey Smith jersey and 2 South Carolina sweathers while taking my sister a USC summer shirt.

Also, even leaving merchandising behind, what you wrote about revenues makes no sense. Ever heard of NFL game pass international?

The league plan to bring more and more games abroad is definitely a huge help to the increase of the fanbase (who go to the games, pay a flight, hotel and tickets) and therefore its revenues. I'm sure you're one of those americans who keep advocating for the game being played in the US only because "hey, it's OUR sport...make your own dang league!".

I'd rather just roll with the younger guys and hope they work out.  VJax has missed more games due to injury than he's played the last 2 seasons.  When he has played, there's been 0 impact.

It's all true. I was just throwing an idea since we definitely need to add competition there. But sure, if we were to spend 3M on either Mangold or Vjax I'd take the former, no doubt.

  3. Idk if someone already mentioned him. He doesn't fit the category as a pure trade target, as he's an unsigned FA, but Vincent Jackson wouldn't be the worst thing happening to us I guess.

Not a solution by any means but due to his last injury and age I think we may add him at a relatively low cost. Hard to find a big, possession receiver who can help moving the chains at this point.

I'll give a look at Harris tapes in the next days and we'll probably discuss it in the next board (I've just subscribed to BoldnpurpleandBlack site). What I remember is that his spin was pretty fast and polished unlike the one of Nkemdiche, to cite one. I don't recall him using it unnecessarily but again, I'm likely wrong. Perhaps, in order to dig little deeper, I can make a compilation of spins and take a few screens if necessary. Just for the sake of discussing it of course, not to put the final sentence on who's right.

My intention was, anyway, not to discredit our Williams. I just happened to see him performing it less frequently. If I'm not replying any time soon I'll see you there guys!

I may be in the minority here, but I think Garrett is vastly overrated, as a projection he is elite, but as a rookie I don't think he is the world beater he's made out to be right now. Plus tru makes a great point, his job will be much harder.

Williams will have fresher legs and I actually think he disengages better than Garrett, his spin move is about the most impressive pass rush move in this whole draft aside from barnetts dip and bend

I'd rather link Harris to the spin move, as his comes with better timing (nothing that can't be improved).

What I think William does already better than anyone in the class, though, is countering (something that we know Takk and even my boy Laws were missing). He's a really natural and explosive pass rusher. We can only hope he'll manage to keep himself clean at this point.

  6. You don't gain a reward or anything by being the first to make the announcement on the forum. On the other hand we do lose something: part of that experience we've been waiting for so long.

It's understandable that much people prefere do other things during their free time, just like you. We don't ask you to spend months on tapes nor to shut your twitter down or anything; rather just respect many poster's will and wait for 2-3 minutes to comment the pick. It's just a metter of kindness and it's really that simple.

DUDE I love Voch lol his Zay Jones tape gives me every time when he high fives his teammate as he is crossing the field. He replayed it for a solid 2 and a half minutes talking about how cool and swag it was. I was DYING.

Ahahahaa I'll never forget that moment. He got so fired up I had to stop baking for and watch wth was happening.

I read that 'hmmmmm' with Voch Lombardi's voice :D:D

I like Brett Colman better and I think Voch tends to overhype some traits at times. But the guy's too fun.

I think he must have said something like this when watching the play: "hmmmmm man! Ohoho Look at that naaaasty spin ...riiiight there (brings it back 2-3 seconds to replay it)..riiight there. One, two three steps.. And booom.. Look..look at that man.. That's craaaayz man. I feel the payn for the right tackle man."

If you are seeing it on TV 15 minutes after the pick has been announced is that important to you then why read the board at all. Really it makes no sense to me why you would want to hear about the pick 15 minutes late?   If you want to ignore the Internet it seems the best way to do that is to stay off the Internet.  Maybe wait until Sunday Paper and read about it there.

I try this in another way.

I don't know if you realized but on this Board it's full of people just like belfan, rossi and myself who spend entire months watching players' tapes, trying to figure out who might fit our team best and eventually predict the pic. Every offseason is a very long time for us, when we start to build a particolar "relation" with a few specific prospects. Thus, those picks are not just names that make no difference to us. We need the suspance, and we 'deserve' to enjoy the experience fully.

You could make a point for us not using any social platform during the draft itself but we're a sort of enlarged family here, so writing here is a way to share christmas day all together.

Look at it this way, you're watching whatever series (let's assume GOT) in streaming while your friend has it on tv (faster, a few minutes in advance).

You've been waiting for 1 year for THAT battle and he comes over telling you that Daenerys died despite knowing that you can't have seen that part yet. Isn't that the definition of "being a jurk"?

    Sorry for that mods

He plays through the whistle and I think he can be coached up. The issue I see with him is not enough knee bend and he kind of leans forward outside his center of gravity while run blocking. He's going to have to change that at the next level.

Yep there's quite some stiffness indeed. Let's say that if we wanted a 3rd/4th & short additional lineman to push the pile we might have found a good one. The rest, only time will tell. We fans can only hope and try not to overreact these signings.

hindsight is useless but isnt lattimore a 1 year starter as well?

Oh boy I did something really Dumbphy.. I wrote down only 2015-2016 choices while doing the research. I want to hide under a mountain of bird droppings.

But hey! Don't you guys have anything better to do than spoiling my one day glory? :P let me get away with this one

The next DROY will be a day 2 CB.

After numerous balanced drafts, Ravens will draft a record low 2 offensive players.

I´m adding to this: Hooker will fall out of the top 10.
The former Ohio State SS is the only player in the top 16 since Kevin White (#7) with only one year as a full time starter.
The closest guys are Eli Apple (15 and 13 games in his last 2 years) and Arik Armstead (9, 11).
It might mean absolutely nothing but I throw it in there.

Half of my last year´s predictions were correct.. expect at least one of these to keep the trend going :P

I wouldn't mind taking another CB or a Safety. Go after the strength of the Draft. Jackson and King would be nice options for us. King is a guy I would really like to fill both roles. Bisnowaty, Johnson, Asiata, Toth, Orlovsky for OL guys and I'd really like Dupre, Ford, Butt or Hodges on this team. Plenty of good talent left.

Let's not forget Kazee and H.Wilson who are very good zone corners. Wouldn't be too shocked if we double dipped at CB.

  14. Plenty of weapons left for Flacco. Sure, none named Corey Davis or Mike Williams but serviceable players with potential: Isaiah Ford (great route runner), Dupre, Reynolds, Switzer.. There's even a very good TE in Hodges if we want to go with a slot/flex. If we were comfortable with him we could eventually procede cutting Watson and put those money on Mangold.

Kittle would also be a very good fit imo. You can pull him and use him as a lead blocker.

K.Fuller, Davenport, Sharpe, Asiata, McDermott and especially Wheeler would be other nice additions to possibly improve the line in the long term.

I guess we're taking 2 offensive players and complete 2 of my 3 bold pre draft predictions :D

This just makes the Jernigan trade that much worse. I hate Wormley as a player

I don't agree with your statements very often but I'm with you here. There's just no value. It would ve made sense if we thought the DT unit has nough depth and want to strenghten another unit.. But this makes no sense.

  16. I try to maintain the calm but still don't understand how, with an immense need at pass rusher and two of the most proven players still on the board, we go with a tweener. Bowser is a Correa clone. He's a very good athlet who can drop in coverage but I've never seen him in a man-cover situation and still have to find proof that he will fill that hole as a future Suggs replacement.
