  1. I couldn't have said it any better. As I wrote in another post: tall pads, tends to dive with his body into his opponents frame to generate push or simply swims into gaps (but doesn't have the functional strength/punch to play 3-4 DE, hence two gapper), that's not the recipe for a successfull inside lineman. With his position being quite clear, my biggest wonder is Correa. I don't see any specific trait that has me thinking 'he'll be great if asked to keep doing this on a consistent basis'. He was often dropped in zone coverage but has never been seriously challenged in man-duties. His pass-rush lacks of an identity: no specific plan, no moves; just a good getoff, a decent shoulder dip and lot of effort. He's more of a project than Kaufusi or than any other Ravens second rounder I can remember in this moment.
  2. Ah ok.. I thought you were referring to BK as a potential starter (and Ngata replacement) next to B.Williams once he added more weight. I must have misunderstood it then. I just don't get what's the purpose of him putting up a dozen lbs, then. Who in this league wants a 300 pounds 4-3 DE/Sam? Edit.. just realized we're in the wrong post.. this was supposed to be KC's.
  3. I don't think BK problem playing inside is due to his lack of weight. It's not those 10 or 20 pounds that prevent him from playing 3-4DE. He plays too tall pads and is absolutely not a two gapper. His base is not wide and low enough to maintain the stance and provide some push. You'll notice he doesn't control his blocker with his hands but rather swims in B or try a shoulder dip outside. This to say that even though I really start to like his potential as a Sam (he could eventually develope in the most valuable pick this year) I don't see him adding more weight and being moved inside nor I think the Ngata role has been fullfulled by this draft.
  4. You're late my man. Check the previous pages;)
  5. I'm sorry for mentioning him again..but Hurd is insane. He's such a clear, shifty, powerful runner; a beauty to watch. He's also a great competitor. I'd go crazy if he wears black&purple, one day. 6. I'd love to play guys.. this is seriously the most entertaining and instructive football 'fantasy' game. However, I'm that kind of person who either puts all of his effort into something or doesn't start it at all and, since I'll be deep fried in my exams this summer, I'd prefere to spend all of my energies on that stuff.. but if you need someone as a replacement I'm on the waiting list and I'll be jumping right in.
  7. With starting DE you mean 3-4 (3t)? Because I actually see him more as a Sam/Leo.. a Suggs replacement rushing the passer either with his hands in the dirt or standing rather than plugged inside. You see he doesn't extend his arms fully to maintain his stance against the run and preferes to dive with his shoulder into the opponents frame to generate some push. He rather tries to swim outside or try to penetrate the gap with a counter but he's not strong enough to the point of attack if you want to play him there.. he'd be pushed like a ragdoll. Btw I just quickly watched 4 Dixon tapes.. I didn't remember he was so explosive in his change of direction.. very good start&stop motor (a là DeAndre Washington). Too bad he can't break tackles. He'd be very valuable on 3rd down in a DeAnthony Thomas role as you're trying to stretch the field.
  8. lol Ogbah to Cleveland was a big relief. My best case scenario was Fackrell(2nd)/Fuller(3rd) or Alexander/Calhoun.
  9. ahahah definitely.. while a mock including Tunsil at #6 and Spence/Alexander at #36 would've been considered highly optimistic. I don't dislike the 'high character' guy path that the FO is taking but that can't be the only reason for us passing on some day1 talent for some sort of projection.. even Fackrell is a great person, very mature, humble and adorable in the interview where he holds his little daughter. I'd really like to have our FO personnel's eyes for few hours in order to understand what brought them to have Correa so high on the board.
  10. Yeah he may not be a typical ILB but could play zone coverage as 4-3 OLB.. so as a Will. I really hope you guys are correct about KC ceiling because I saw Fackrell as a similar player but with much better bending and power.. I sincerely hope time will prove me wrong. I kinda got over the sadness for the Stanley pick but I'll still need a while to fully digest day2. Really like day3 tho.
  11. Well KC is also not great either, but one thing is for sure: Spence is a far better pass-rusher and even if both don't have enough functional strength to shred off blocks and support the run decently Noah uses his hands visibly better. People claim KC is superior in coverage.. well.. did you ever see him playing cover-man? I only saw him dropping in zone on cover-2/cover-3 situations or asked to spy the QB as a MLB. So on what extent is he better in that area? Can't Spence drop few yards backwards too? I don't mean to be harsh to anyone guys, just to clarify..It's just that I don't see the "KC>Spence" point nor the value in this pick. However, it's not like we wanted sexy picks just for the entertainment's sake; we DID need some "instant coffee", some guys who can potentially start day 1.. I guess KC will split reps with Orr/Brown for some time and Kaufusi will also go in the rotation with a very deep Dlinemen corps.. with the only difference that I see the latter pick holding more value. Day2 was quite underwhelming imo.
  12. Once I was watching the Houston-Cincinnati game to get an idea about W.Jackson III and C.Moore really stood out that day. So I digged a little more in it and was pleasantly surprised.. this said he's pretty much a Robby Anderson kind of player; good football speed, not too twitchy but locates the ball fairly well and has good body control/athleticism to make contested catches. He knows how to work with his body to get a better position on the DB. I just didn't expect us to get him that "early", especially with Higgins and Peake still out, but of course FO knows better. This got to be my fav pick with the Judon and Canady's.
  13. That's sweet
  14. WR D'haquille Williams WR Keyarris Garrett C Jack Allen DE Victor Ochi DE Theiren Cockran OLB Eric Striker ILB Dominique Alexander CB Briean Boddy-Calhoun DB Mike Hilton S Trae Elston S Jaremy Cash S Michael Caputo DT David Dean
  15. Tavn Young: 6,80 (3rd among CBs) Chris Moore: 6,76 (5th among WRs) ..and Brothers is still there
  16. He did have some good plays.. but those ppl are just blind or partially informed. Interesting how even Mayock claimed the same thing.. did he even watch the game?
  17. I really like Houston and Washington draft so far.
  18. I just realized both KC and Kaufusi recorded a great 3 cones drill. (6,96 and 7,03).. it probably won't weight as much as on pass-rushers as an indicator of their bending but if we keep walking the same path we might end with Kentrell Brothers at ILB (6,99 three-cones). I throw it in there.
  19. Jenkins went to the Jets in the 3rd, but yes, we definitely have many good players left. I would add to your list Harlan Miller and Maurice Canady, who I LOVE.. Eric Murray, Jeremy Cash, DJ White, Joe Schobert.. there's ton of rotational players who can become starters in few years.
  20. 100% with you there. I'm not mad at all about all the trade back thing but I highly doubt that KC was higher than Spence on our board.. sounds like the Perriman pick "we couldn't trade up and snag Dupree..well BP was a top 20 on our board anyway".. hopefully I'm mistaken. Problem I have is that I don't get what's the skill he brings to the table that would make him more valuable.. I'd have rather taken Redmond, Cravens, Alexander and then Schobert/Striker/Ochi in the 4th/5th. Even Kaufusi looks like a stretch; Washington is a similar player.. both don't have the functional strenght to control their blocker as run defenders but I see Washington as a better gap penetrator. Kaufusi looks a lot like Urban.. how many rotational players do we want on that line? Why not Billings? Neg me all the way but I can't help but being disappointed bout these first 2 days.
  21. Problem with Correa is that he doesn't really have a plan when rushing the passer.. all you see is him dropping in zone coverage or trying to win with his instinct on the T. He's a very good athlet but a limitated and predictable 3-4OLB. I'd have taken Calhoun or Fackrell before him. I can now imagine we're double dipping the position.. 4th round's going to be crazy.
  22. lol I just realized it's the first time Browns select at 32.. and they still didn't win crabs poor fans (and they god Ogbah.. feels good to start day 2 with a laugh)
  23. Well, Dodd is a more complete player, so he'd probably a better replacement for Suggs if he gets injured or once he retires. Spence is obviously the faster and would complement a player like Sizzle and Dodd as a weak-side edge rusher. Probably a player like Dodd is harder to find.. some serious edge speed can still be found in Ochi, Schobert or Striker, even if of course with less expectations.. I really have no preference here. In case both of them were already picked I would love Billings.. he absolute rejects blockers.. imagine him at 3t with Brandon at 1t. If we select Deion I hope that's not with our second rounder.
  24. imagine if we get Ogbah next.. I'd play the Schindlers' list theme song in the background and start to cut my veins . My remaining top players are ordered this way: Spence, Billings, Dodd, Alexander, Chris Jones. I'd be pretty happy with any of them actually.
  25. lol.. not only Chicago reached for Floyd when they're desperate for a T, but they even traded up. I won't be able to sleep tonight.. just too confused.
