I thought the game was actually enjoyable to watch. It obvious the defense missed Jimmy Smith and Doom but for the most part I'm not really mad at this game. I thought Joe Flacco played well  but the penalties consistently hurt the offense.

I agree and hope the team takes it well, they showed up and gave Dak and Elliot some hard shots as a welcome to the NFL Baltimore style.

I thought Zeke was running for 200?

LOL he did not even get 100 did he.. And all and all i think even Tavon on Dex was a good as could have been expected. Poor Tavon looked like a highschool kid but he has heart and determination and was always in position but was just not strong enough.

    Good :

Was a great game, very entertaining. We showed we could stop the run

Our run game looks much better

    Bad:

    Penalties

    Referee missed calls

    Very Bad

    Steelers won... lol

I do think we limit Elliot, but don't see him as being as overrated. Reminds a lot of a young Jamal. He's a beast.

I like how you are thinking here though!   GO RAVENS!

Exactly right and remember what happened to Jamal. He needed the exact right situation to be successful. After he left here he was less than productive so if we can just get the oline out of sync the run game should crumble (i am such a homer)..lol  Am so excited for this game.

I completely feel the same way. I honestly feel we lose if jimmy is a no go. I'm praying he's active so he can shut Bryant down.

Shutting Bryant down is not the huge issue for me. If Tavon can get under his skin and piss him off then he will take himself out of the game mentally, he is a hot head. Besides, Dak does not go deep too often, i am more worried about Elliot coming out of the backfield. As long as we get pressure i say we win the game.

Bro...Jimmy is doubtful, i hope Wright doesn't cover Dez...

    Powers on Dez

Wright on Williams or whoever is #2WR

    Tavon on Beasley ? ?

Beasley worries me as well but he has had a case of bad hands this season from the few Dallas games i have watched. I do hope that if Jimmy is not 100% they do not field him. I would rather see little Tavon get under Dez's skin by sticking to him like glue. I was so hoping Mosley would be healthy to patrol the middle to keep Witten quiet. But then we also have Elliot catching the ball on the outside which they love to do.

  6. You know, when Lewis stated on TV that Joe plays with no passion he is seemingly just piling on with everyone else who always debates Joe's play and to make it worse it was after all "Ray Lewis" that said it and i am sure it dug that much more deeper and i congratulate Joe for not losing it and keeping his cool. I did not here him speak a word with the numerous times Lewis's antics have hurt the team.

  7. I have never seen any other player in the NFL play with more passion and be able to instill a winning spirit into a team like he did but he had no reason to go onto national TV and talk about Joe's passion for the game. That could have made the locker room turn on Joe but gladly they backed Joe.  To me that is a low blow from Lewis. Is he feeling missed and need to be in the headlines again or something.

He probably did not mean any ill intentions but should never have been stated.

And my final comment on this is Ray should just be thankful Joe carried that team to that super bowl say what you want but 11TD 0INT and played in Denver and in NE Joe is the reason we got that ring like it or not

I think you are forgetting a HUGE piece of that "Joe" did it all puzzle friend. Bolden, if you go back and watch the game you will see quite a few over throws and very inaccurate tosses that Bolden had to fight for, make great grabs and outplay the defense. If we had not had Bolden Joe's run would not have been.

Come on guys at least keep the thread realistic about Flacco.

Flacco has 5 tds against Cleveland and 4 Tds against every other team he has played.

SMH..... way to early for praise!

If he wants to play better, he has to improve his mechanics in the pocket.

The defense is carrying this team right now.

I am trying to think of just how many teams are dominant on both sides of the ball. It usually is one or the other. I am happy if we have a dominant defense and a average offense. I know it will take a while for Joe to get back to being Joe and being beat to hell every snap does not speed up the process. lol

Think Dixon and SSR could be x factors on the offense. I like that Dixon is catching passes out of the backfield.

Dixon and those quick outs should be huge this game i hope. SSR should also get some great chances in the middle of the field, would love to see him crossing the field and bust free for a 50 yard TD.

How so through 9 games? I'm a fan of Aiken but it's clear he doesn't have a defined role in this offense as long as SSS and Wallace are here. He's getting 1 or 2 targets per game for like 7 yards. How is that helping the offense at all? Again i'm a fan but Camp brings a completely different dynamic to this offense and Aiken doesn't come close to to bringing it. If Camp is healthy, which he is, he can really help this offense. If he can't stay healthy you just utilize him as much as you can while he's healthy. Camp could be a difference maker, Aiken just isn't that guy. If Camp earns his way into the offensive gameplan and he plays 50+ snaps but only get 1-2 targets per game than i'll say the same about him that I say about Aiken. The Ravens need guys to make plays now. Aiken just isn't the guy that doing that right now. Let's see what he does in Dallas

I am looking at last year and this year friend as far as Aiken. No one looks good this year due to offensive issues except for Pitta and Wallace. I just would hate to see us put more time into Camp just for him to go down in a crucial point and time and then we go back to Aiken anyway. Do you think he will turn out to be a healthy player ?

Cowboys 1st half rushing yards against Steelers = 42 yards
    Steelers 9th ranked rushing defense
    Ravens 1st ranked rushing defense

I truly don't think we give up 400+ yds on the team. If they beat us they'll have to do something they haven't done all season. Our offense needs to do something we haven't done consistently this season - execute plays for 4 quarters and we basically win this game.

Very true, we would have to have a total collapse on defense and those guys are determined to dominate. I love their aggression. I think we can run on them and that will be huge. I do not think Bell is anything special, never have and he looked like Eric Dickerson against the Cowboys. So if we can run the ball and get some quick tosses outside we can control the game.

Definitely agree. I was on board with the Hester signing because it was low risk and potential high reward, but it didn't work, no more than T. Rich. So just cut bait I say. I'm so over Hester that I though allowing Reynolds to get those reps would have been better, at least with him you understand that it's trail and error, in game training.

As for Asa, I thought he should have been the guy last year. Yes he had a couple fumbles, but in hindsight how would Asa have been worse than Hester is now? I think Asa is the most dynamic RS we currently have. He's electric.

With Tavon playing so well outside, I think Asa will stick around for slot depth behind Powers. So even if he doesn't grab hold of the return job, which i believe he will, he'll stick around imo. I think Lewis to IR and Hester cut are the moves that are made to make room for Camp. I just can't see the advantage to not placing Lewis on IR. If the time frame is 6 weeks that places him just outside the Christmas match up with the Steelers. So that last week of practice before the Bengals game is when he'd return. At that point even if Urshcel(I assume he's the guy) isn't playing well, from a continuity standpoint you'll probably stick with him heading into the playoffs.

I want to see Camp used in this offense as well. He just brings something that no other WR can as that shifty slot guy. I just hope that Camp being active doesn't force Moore to be inactive, he's turning into a ST ace for this team. I'd rather see the snaps/opportunities taken from Aiken, with SSS, Wallace, Perriman and Camp as your top 4 WRs.

It'll be interesting to see how short or long the leash is for Hester in this game with Asa now on the roster.

I was a huge Camp fan before he started showing he is a (can never stay healthy) type of player and i would not take reps from any starting reciever to take a chance on him again. We need to develop timing and not gamble on a "maybe" player like he is with his issues. He has all of the tools and can be a huge X factor when he is on the field but how often is that ? Aiken has earned his spot.

  14. I feel really good heading into next season. I think we have a very sound base of young talent which will all have a year of experience for next year. If we draft for depth next year we will be in a position that any single player going down will not deflate us. This is the first time in quite a few years i feel safe about what we have.

Personally, I see us going anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7.  I think the only way we can win a playoff spot is if we do it as division winners.  I'd take it.  But we need that 9-7.  I see the Steelers waking up and winning most of the games the rest of the season, I think they will either finish 8-8 or 9-7.  If they end up 9-7, we really need to win that second game against them and ensure we have the tie-breaker.

The Steelers have some of the same woes we have but our wounds are healing. Their O'line just keeps falling apart. Their defense is really middle of the road at best and we all saw their special teams play.. lol  I really hope we shut them out this year.

A win next week for defy our season. If we were to even win a SB this year then this is a game I would look back on.

I for one am very glad the game is not prime time to have to listen to the broadcasters beat us up and tell us how we did so bad even if things are going our way. Collinsworth gets under my skin every time. Cannot wait to see us hand Dallas the loss Dak/Romo rants  LOL I would rather play verses Dak then Romo. His timing with Dez would kill us.

I have to say 1996 was my favorite season because we had football back in Baltimore. Winning that first game against Oakland at Memorial Stadium was quite a memorable day. We only won three more games over the remainder of the season but it didn't matter because we had a team again.

Yes sir, i think we won one pre-season game and just 3 regular season games . Man i miss that stadium. Great memories.

All we can ask for is that our D limits Zeke as we won't be able to shut him down. If we can accomplish that along with generating some form of pressure on Dak, I like our chances. I expect Joe to get up for this game and hope he can perform. Let's keep the hurry up going, our O seems to perform much better in it as we were able to establish a good rhythm.

Someone needs to knock Dallas off it's perch, may as well be us!

Steelers almost had them beat until penalties killed them again. Is it bad of me that i look forward to seeing their coaching staffs (Tomlin) faces the minute they know they have lost. lol
