  1. Williams looks like he has a motor that will not stop from the video i have seen. Cannot wait to see him on the field.

On a side note: Will miss the boards and fellow members. I have learned so much over the years (football knowledge) i still do not know a lot about formations etc but the entire Ravens Nation here is awesome.

  2. Just wow !! A team/organization that can waste multi millions on talent that should not be on any pro team refuses to spend what about $300.00 a year on a forum for the Fans. What a class act. Charge more and more to see the team that produces less and less on the field year after year for a few years now and cannot even leave us this for free.

  3. Wallace over Torrey all day long. Until we get the O'line fixed Joe will not have the time nor the nerve to wait for the deep plays to develop and Torrey being a one trick pony can only run straight and fast.  Remember when he was on the team, his routes were awful, he got the case of "the short arms" in traffic etc. Wallace still runs pretty good routes, fights for the ball and plays mean. I like Wallace much more then Torrey.

  4. It does not matter what type of receiver we get (if any) until Flacco gets rid of those rose colored Pita glasses and starts waiting for plays to develop then all others will not be utilized. Flaccos had the "get rid of the ball as fast as i can" jitters most of the season and continually just sought out Pita. I guess between the O'line not creating a pocket for him and the fact that he was just coming off of an injury it is to be expected. But we need a safe and sound Flacco which will help improve us immensely.

  5. There is always a catch22 with our offensive improving. We either need more weapons for Flacco or Flacco had a down year or the running game needs to improve. You would think that in the last several years we would have a firm grasp on how to fix it but we do not. We go in the same circle again and again. Firing OC's, changing running backs etc etc. Not sure how other teams find the ways to utilize what they have and just win. We are either lacking the coaching to use what we have or we are just awful at bringing in talent. We need to look at other organizations and try to learn. I hate to say it but the Steelers, Patriots and even Packers are very good teams that develop and use what they have and manage to win.

I seriously hope that Steve,  Ozzie,  and John have an offer on the table for Ray when he's ready.  Maybe it'll be when his kids are done with college but at the very least it's a great way to sell some tickets. I know that I'm going to get slack from some members saying its time to move on, it's a new era, blah blah blah. I feel like bringing Ray and possibly Ed back as coaches would be the coolest thing ever. These guys are fan favorites that'll never die in the history of the Ravens, even the league. What could possibly hurt in bringing these legends in as assistant coach to their respective positions? Maybe their reps? Their egos? Even those two things seem indestructible. Sorry for the rant but Ray's interview got me on the train of thought. Thoughts? Opinions? Hate?

Ray Lewis would be a very nice coach but Harb's would not be able to control Lewis so this would not even be possible. They may put on a good dog and pony show like they attempted to land him but in the end we live and die by the Harb's recklessness and great mind as a offensive brain child.

  7. I know it sounds irrational but i wish  with players that based money on playing time like an incentive. I know it sounds cruel as you cannot help but get hurt at some point in the NFL but when you are an impact player and you are off of the field the team suffers so the end product is not as good. So compensation back to the team for not being on the field would be awesome.

  8. I wish we could stop comparing ourselves to the Steelers. They have a great system that can develop Offensive weapons and we can not and never could. We were good at drafting many moons ago and lived off of that success for years but never got "lucky" in the draft again so we never replaced the talent. Now, just like the past few seasons it is showing. The organization dropped the ball on the contract with Joe, way too much money for him. How many teams can afford a top tier QB and field top tier receivers ? Teams need to be able to develop the young guys like the Patriots, Packers Steelers and many others do but we just for some reason develop receivers. The defensive side is not much better in developing talent, CB's, Safeties etc.

  9. I hope he is sincere in wanting to improve. So tired of watching a game and hearing how other teams can develop offensive talent year after year (The Steelers) and we cannot. Sometimes it seems like most others teams improve every year but the last few years we have been steadily falling apart due to lack of replacing talent and it has finally started to be a glaring problem.

  10. Just read on the front page that Flacco will have a premier O'line (best in the league) next season, should be exciting.  So we should see a huge jump in the pass and run game.

So in other words, when Flacco has a lot of input into running the offense (like in the Super Bowl run) he can be successful?  When OCs call stupid plays and tell him to stick with it, he doesn't do as well?  Oddly, in our biggest success this year (Miami) the coaches talked about sitting down with Joe and developing a game plan.  That's the only time we heard about that.

I would NOT let Joe take the reigns on the offense until he shows better decision making skills. No way, no how. LOL

Uh .....did you not watch the presser? They said establishing a running game is a key for them going into next season and to have a balanced attack. And steve gave a perfect answer as to why ozzie is still the draft guru

I loved the interview and hope his words hit home with the entire team. I like the idea of getting back to the run. We cannot survive long term on Joe's abilities. Focus on the run game and teach Joe to be a good game manager. The more he hands off the ball in the red zone the better off we will be. Keep the passing game to short to mid range. In short just act like Joe is Dilfer version #2 until he shows better decision making and works on accuracy.

I really liked that Harb's was right there beside Steve while he spoke and could tell his leash just got a bit tighter. The only thing i did not like was the fact that it will be another wasted year in the draft. Drafting affects the team for years, why not at least look for other options as the view on talent has been tainted the last few years.

  12. I agree that we have a play-off caliber team that just lost focus and after thinking about it. A coach that at first glance made but mistakes but could be seen as just a passion to win. I think it could also be said that with a group as young as a lot of our player are on the Defense focus is hard to maintain and the need to make the big play had them over shoot some plays.

So i would say under achievers because if they can maintain focus and drop off on penalties they could be a true Solid Defense. The Offense is what it has always been, which is a mystery but i know they can play so much better.
