A few restructures and pay cuts and we can make some decent room in our cap. Watson saves $3 mil, Webb saved 5.5 mil, Pitta has to take a cut or restructure taking up 7+, Arrington saves 2 mil, Marqueston Huff (??) 2 mil cap space so without really hurting the team we can pretty quickly open up another 10 mil it looks like and have around 18 mil before the Jefferson and Woodhead numbers come in.

My guess is the Ravens wanted Marshall, the money was right and the player was good but lost out to Big City NY, and have entertained the idea of Pryor and Jeffrey. Pryor wants to be paid like a #1 receiver but hasn't proven it and you cannot overpay on potential over production. I think Torrey does come back if Britt goes to the Eagles and on a team friendly deal because he knows his production goes back up with Joe. I also think they keep Wallace. Jeffrey is an outside possibility and his injury history keeps him somewhat affordable. I love B Will, for a small school and super likeable guy to get a huge payday good for him, don't think it will be here also we are really good at developing DTs and Pierce is next man up. Great safety tandem now and will focus heavy on pass rushers and corners in the draft. They have to get out of this cap hell.

You say that until Jack, Spence, and Fuller fly off... why risk it grab the guy they like I don't think he will make it and I want to keep that 2nd round pick if possible

I'd start to think about trading back in give up a 2nd and next years 3rd to grab Jack at the end of the 1st... that would be awesome. He isn't currently hurt so you have a few years out of him even if his knee does have a fast clock on it.

That would be insane but there is a big drop off between the beginning of the 2nd round and mid 2nd round - we don't need to stock the farm we need a few high impact starters and then find some 4th round gems like we often do. I'd throw in a 3rd to get that early 2nd rounder What about 6 and 70 for 15, 33, 45 so we would end up with 15, 33, 36, 45, Titans get their top rated player they would have taken at #1, an extra 2nd, and an extra 1st next year and we stock up in the 2nd round on starters. Here is a crazy one... The proposed Ravens / Titans trade happens and the Ravens move to 15 in exchange for the Titan's 2nd and 5th (wanna move, gotta pay up) Ravens have 15, 33, 36, 70, 104, 132, 143, 140, 182, 209, Myles Jack, Noah Spence, Kendall Fuller and then just crush the 4th round

Ramsey, Tunsil, Bosa - in that order and its looking more and more likely that any of those 3 could fall to us. Ramsey was a pipe dream and now he seems like a 50/50 shot of being there. Ramsey is the exciting pick, Tunsil is the value pick. Both help the Ravens but I agree they want to go D if they can.

If Chargers take BPA its Tunsil and the Cowboys aren't taking Ramsey which means you give up a mid round pick and jump over JAX and there he is. This is a legit possibility now.

If we're talking about dream scenarios then #1 - Goff, #2 - Wentz, #3 - Tunsil And then somehow 4 and 5 go DL and Ramsey is sitting there at 6 or do the Ravens trade up to 5 to jump JAX if he makes it? Would you trade up a spot and give up say a 3rd for Ramsey? I think I would. If Ramsey is off the board and Tunsil falls do you take the consensus #1 player in the draft at 6? Yeah, I guess you do. Man, passing up on Bosa would hurt since he also will probably be there.

2nd and 3rd round picks, cut Monroe, cut Elam, Lewis, and any non-essential chaff that is taking a mil or 2 in cap space. You can try to restructure it, but for a top LT thats border-line affordable... don't have to reach for an OT in the 1st round can draft pack to recoup 2nd and 3rd lost in the trade. I would try hard to make that happen and its a fair deal, one that we can immediately make up for by trading back if necessary.

In the draft unless there is an unexpected freefall we will probably pick up a receiver in the mid-rounds. We have 8 TEs on the roster so I don't see us going after one, its going to be a very defense-heavy draft other than OL but thats what we need this year. 2/3 of our draft should be DBs and pass rushers.

If Bosa and Ramsey aren't there at 6, the Ravens are in a PRIME trading spot right ahead of the QB needy 49ers... if that happens the 6th pick is worth a TON, think mid 1st, mid 2nd, mid 3rd, mid 4th in terms of value (looking at the LA Rams at 15 who would need a franchise QB for their new franchise?). That would overstock our draft allowing us to package picks, moving up and down, to end up with a mid 1st and then 2-3 2nd rounders with multiple picks in the 3rd and 4th rounds. I would be actively shopping that 6th pick if those guys aren't on the board. Now rumors are Ramsey might be the #1 pick and Wentz will be #2 which would allow Tunsil and maybe even Bosa to fall as no other teams were going to take Stanley before us now he might get there too. Still, OL is never an exciting first rounder and impact talent is this year's theme just look at free agency so far.

What a difference an offseason makes... EOY last year our receiving corps was Aiken, Givens, Butler, Brown and our TEs were Maxx and Boyle... let that sink in Now to start the year we have created a corps of SSS, Aiken, Wallace, Perriman, and probably an early round draft pick along with Ben Watson and Gilmore... wow. Joe's arm and those 4 guys lining up... how do you defend that consistently? 2 legit deep threats in the vein of dare I say pittsburgh's WR model... run far, run fast

nfl.com recently posted an article about building the perfect QB and they took Stafford's arm as the strongest throwing arm in the NFL... uh I'm sorry what? We have all seen video proof of Joe's arm strength (74 yds in the air in college, multiple 80 yard bombs in the NFL) so seriously where is this Stafford love coming from? I would bet good money that Joe can throw a ball further than Stafford. Is there any video proof of Stafford doing something that Joe can't do himself? Is there a secret 100 yard throw that Stafford has made that I'm unaware of. The best deep ball in the NFL, the one who can throw the furthest down the field is JOE FLACCO. What do you guys think? For me its the receivers - we are going to carry 7 this year just no way we can narrow it down to 6 the question is who is #7 Right now its Smith, Perriman, Aiken, Brown, Camp, Waller, and Butler but if Camp is hurt that opens it up for Carter because we do need a return man. Also looking forward to the saga of Dennis Pitta and whether or not he returns. If not, I think Gilmore is really turning it up and will outperform expectations. Finally, just how good can this D Line be - it is chock full of high ceiling young guys who are all hitting years 2 or 3 and healthy so Jernigan, Williams, Davis, Urban, KLM, and company could be an extremely talented and deep position group.

Oh yeah we have all seen Joe make throws off his back foot that go 55-60 yards but how far can he really throw today and that 74 yarder in college didn't even have a tight spiral, which is very un-Joe like. Is it 80 yards? 85? If Joe got a running start at the goal line and threw at the 10 could he get it into the end zone? I really think he could. I just don't think Stafford can do that.

That was only our 25 to their 20 and I know I've seen Joe throw further than that. Yes that is his most famous deep ball but that isn't his limit as to how far he can throw.

I agree I wouldn't blink an eye if Jackson was cut for a proven veteran who can provide some depth. We can find a returner from the WR corps.

Our offensive depth this year is young and unproven, which is exciting and concerning at the same time. They have very high ceiligns but we also don't know their floor. Having a veteran TE for example last year, initially for depth, was really important to Joe. This year unless Pitta comes back, Gilmore is the veteran! with 2 complete unknowns behind him. Wide receiver same thing, Steve Smith and then your vets are guys like Aiken and Brown with unknowns behind them. The defense I am less concerned with because we have veteran depth, the offense nada. Perriman and Maxx could come in and be awesome right away, but if they aren't... we don't really know what we have.

Smith, Joseph, Webb along with Melvin, Walker, Levin, Jackson, Wilson, etc. would be a top 10 DB corps. It also protects against possible injury - I really like the idea of a 3-4 year deal for a vet corner and then all that young cheap talent for depth. A lot of size all of a sudden too, this has to be one of the tallest secondaries we have ever rolled out.

I see possibly 3 UDFAs making the team in the OT Baldwin, the FS Perry, and the DB Wilson (this changes if we bring in more vets). This roster is looking very, very good.

After hearing that Jonathan Joseph might be released or traded with the arrival of of Kevin Johnson, I absolutely love the idea of bringing him in and we have the cap space. That would really sure up that group and after this draft I can't think of a weak spot on the team then. Thoughts?
