  1. The 2010 Raven's draft was given an A by the sports pundits. The fans all cheered. The only one left from that draft is Dennis Pitta. Now you would have to give that draft an F+. There is no way to judge or grade the 2016 draft the day after it is over. Why bother.
  2. "Today, 12:42 PM How truly awesome would it be if Pagano decides to actually quit the Colts HC job and comes back to Baltimore to lead our defense back to its glory days?" In order for Pagano to come back and be successful we would have to bring back the likes of Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Bart Scott, Halodi Ngata, etc., etc. A defensive coordinator, is only as good as his players.
  3. What we missed against the Seahawks is Joe Flacco, Steve Smith, Suggs, Forset, Perriman, Monroe, Zuttah, Pitta, etc, etc. Does anyone know why Arthur Brown isn't given an opportunity?
  4. The narrative this season, especially for the Ravens has been the awful and incompetent officiating. Apparently nobody is allowed to talk about it. The NFL network didn't mention it when discussing the Ravens game. The only way it can get better is when there is accountability, and the only way there will be accountability is when coaches, players, owners, and the NFL controlled media can talk about it without fear of punishment. The commissioners office first objective is to spin their brand in a positive way and be in control. Thee is no interest in truth, integrity, players welfare, or fair relevant discipline. It's only a matter of time before they kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
  5. It's tough to win when the stars, moon, and sun are against you; but impossible to win when the zebras are against you. Perhaps they need officials watching the game from the box to correct egregious errors or the game will no longer have any integrity.
  6. I read on line that it can take 6 months up to 1 year for a severe PCL strain to heal. They probably should have put him on IR after he re injured it and was scoped. In all fairness Harbs shouldn't have down played the significance of the injury and given the fans a more realistic assessment of recovery time. If that had been done Breshad's character and fortitude wouldn't have been questioned.
  7. It's just bad karma. The football gods are punishing the Ravens, perhaps for their duplicitous actions revolving around Ray Rice and their handling of players that are abusive. A repentant Rice is still blackballed by the Ravens and the league while Suggs is held in high esteem even after he attacked his ex and child. According to the complaint made available, Williams [sugg's ex].said Suggs threw a soap dispenser at her head, hit her in the chest with his hand, and held a bottle of bleach over her and their 1-year-old son, which spilled on them and caused a rash. Baltimore City District Court Judge Ronald Alan Karasic wrote that a laceration was visible on Williams' chest. The Cowboys are also suffering because of bad karma around Hardy. Hopefully after a period of reflection and redemption the ball will start bouncing the Ravens way again. There is little hope for Jerry Jones. I learned all about karma from Earl Hickey.
  8. Everything would have to break right for the Ravens to sweep their remaining games, just as everything went wrong for them to lose six out of their first eight games.
  9. Can't resurrect the past. It was time to move on when we let him walk. No reason to second guess what has been proven to be a good decision.
  10. Don't know why he got paid before he could prove he could recover and still play well after his foot injury? What was management thinking?
  11. Brandon Williams stopped Chris Johnson's forward progress and the refs have stopped the Ravens forward progress all year. As usual the refs win and the Ravens lose.
  12. Pee's is not so brilliant when he said injuries are not an excuse. If the next players up could do the job one could field a winning team all comprised of members from the band squad and other free agent castoffs. The owner would save lots of money. If Pee's has no excuses the buck should stop with him and he should be replaced.
  13. I think Flacco is elite Joe 50% of the time, is average Joe 35% of the time, and Flunko Joe 15% of the time. He has to be more consistent for us to win.
  14. Unfortunately it seems that certain athletes are prone to ACL tears. It seems that many suffer a second tear after the first one is repaired and healed. I'm not sure it is a good idea to draft or trade for a player that had ACL issues in his past.
  15. I think it is testament to the strength of the Ravens that they had an opportunity to win at the end. Most teams suffering the kind of adversity the Ravens have suffered wouldn't have been able to be competitive. No team in the NFL could compete if ten of their best players and play makers were sitting on the bench due to injury. I agree that losing is a team effort as much as winning, and it is true that if the team were a bit more disciplined they might have pulled out a miracle win. There is however such a thing as legitimate excuses and legitimate handicaps that can't be overcome.
  16. How did everyone think the Raven's would look without Smith Sr., Gilmore, Forsett, Camp, Perriman, Suggs, Dumervil, Webb, Davis, and Taliafero? They say injuries are not an excuse for losing. Seriously?
  17. Three tight end sets might keep opposing defenses honest.
  18. Why can't anyone get to the bottom of the strange case of Breshad Perriman? The coach knows nothing. The media knows nothing and won't attempt to interview number 18 about his status or outlook. His team mates know nothing. Does he really exist or is he a fantasy hologram that shows up on occasion on the practice field? Who is this Raven who is faster than a speeding bullet, who promises to fight the Raven way, who will take his team over the top in victory and glory for all?
  19. I don't understand all the silence and secrecy about Perriman's injury. The coaches don't give us much insight and Perriman for some strange reason hasn't and isn't willing to talk to the media. Seems most peculiar to me. Hope he's not a head case.
  20. Don't understand the grading system. Crockett was a beast. Don't know why Jimmy Smith wasn't on the very bottom. What a pathetic performance after that big contract.
  21. If the two calls from the officials at the end of each game went the other way the Ravens would be be 2 and 0. It isn't far fetch to think that could have happened. The bounce of a ball and the subjective split second determination of an official can change a teams destiny from heroes to bums. I think part of the problem in the erratic play lies in how coaches view preseason games. The starters don't practice enough in real game situations to gel and be on top of their game for the regular season. I think the Ravens have a chance to climb out of the hole they have dug. If they win the next 2 games they will be even with the Steelers and potentially even with the Bengals. If they lose the next 2 games we can all start looking at mock drafts for next year.
  22. All Belicheat has to do is make Brady ineligible and McNally and Jas eligible for suspension. Or Brady shave his head, grow a Fu Manchu, wear number 21 and change his identity. That way he can start the first 4 games. It's not against the rules. There is so much not against the rules for the Patriots to feed on.
  23. Dennis is 30 years old with very unfortunate physical problems. The Ravens are being realistic in trying to rebuild the TE position. I'm not sure why we drafted Boyle since there are already have two good blocking tight ends on the roster. Boyle is a big guy, perhaps he can learn to play another position along the offensive line.
  24. The Ravens two starting corners are as good as there is. They can only be considered a weakness if they don't play because of injury. Same can be said of all the CB tandems in the league.
  25. There is a reason why all these guys dropped to the Raven's. They all have serious issues, medical and otherwise. I can understand gambling on one pick, but not every pick. They could have picked Pryor, Latimer, Gabe Jackson or Terence West, and Brandon Thomas. Lets hope for the best. You never know.
