Flacco is workable but not with this contract. his contract is a killer..

he cant run out the pocket and extend plays..you need that in the NFL these days.. hes a statue QB..makes us even easier to deal with

This. When the protection breaks down Joe pretty much breaks down with it.Quarterbacks that can extend plays by sidestepping or whatever put pressure on the D.Which we never seem to do.Teams tee off on us.

Should be 5-0. Snatched defeat from the clutches of victory for 2 straight weeks. Fire Trestman, 10 points with the talent we have on offense is an absolute joke. You give this unit to a McDaniels or Kubiak they're putting up 25+ points a game no problem.

This is the most talent we've likely ever had on that side of the ball and the product on the field is laughable.

Obviously the refs blew the PI on Aiken but the fact that we needed a call to go our way to potentially beat Washington is on us.

Dude, even in my purple glasses I don't see any p.i.call on the throw to Aikens in the waning seconds. We have to face it;our qb has reached his peak.He can't create plays or momentum.

It hurts my heart for what im about to say,

But the team has being going down hill ever since are last superbowl run. Bad draft picks, bad play calling, never what to spend money on players that can help make ud better. The head coach needs to be fired and everyone he put on his coaching staff. Ozzie needs to step down he has done more to hurt this team then any other team has done to us.

Yes Where is Torre and his p.i  penalties when we need him?

    Time to admit several hings:

    1) Flacco is just decent. Slightly above mediocre. (Not hating. He's the best we've had. But that doesn't say much) His inconsistent play, lack of fundamentals, his forcing passes into double coverage, are all the indicators of an average QB. Sometimes he does amazing things, but obviously not enough. You can blame the o line all you want, but even when Joe had time, he over threw and under threw even short passes. Also, when he has endless yards in front him, he throws a 2 yard pass instead of running.

2)Harbs is overrated. A terrible decision maker in clutch situations. I think his record since Ray's retirement is 26-27. (May want to double-check that) He's just not a great HC.

    3) Our D is legit. But pass rush is garbage.

    4) Trestman is obviously an idiot. He fails to see a good thing when it's right in his freaking face. Finally get our ground game going, but predictably he runs tons of pass plays, killing all momentum.

    5) Our special teams, aside from Tucker, sucks.

    6) Our team, as a whole, is just mediocre. If not for the D, we'd be 0-5. None of our 3 wins can be attributed to the offense; who, despite great field position, and D giving them chance after chance, could not even muster up 17 points against one the worst defenses in the league.

    7) We lost back to back home games against average teams with terrible defenses.

Enjoy another lame season, Ravens fans. If they don't turn it around, we may see a house cleaning at the end of the season.

Points 1 and 3.You are watching the same Ravens that I am

  5. once again no turnovers. Turnovers win games and that is something that has eluded us all season . We actually got 2 interceptions last week and guess what ? We won. That is the biggest thing that needs to be addresed and worked on this offseason. We need to squire some ball hawks. Sadly Lewis has not worked out. Create turnovers next year and try to stay healthy and we will be successful.

This is true.Lewis could have won the Jacksonville game.

  6. Coincidence that the two games he didn't throw deep were his two worst games this year? He doesn't have to complete every one, but I'm convinced he has to at least attempt an early deep ball or two to settle in and start to dictate the game.

We really miss Torreys ability to draw p.i.calls.That was the majority of our deep ball offense. It earned him the nickname of 'Jump Ball Joe'.

  7. Oh, and I hate these people saying quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady would have won it and not lost it in the fourth quarter.

In the Broncos game, that should have been won, but Steve Smith dropped a surefire touchdown. In Oakland, Joe fights back from two 10-point deficits and actually puts the team up, but the defense allows a last minute score, literally, I believe. Against Cinci, the team takes a lead, the Bengals respond, Joe responds, and then the defense lets up a score, again. Joe did just about everything he could and a penalty ruined it.

That's two games that he actually put the team in the position to win, only to be letdown by the defense, and one game that could have been won with a better player by the receiver. Now, that isn't to absolve anything that happened prior in the game, but it is to say that Joe put the team in a position to win in three straight weeks, actually taking the lead in two of the games in the fourth quarter.

It is not easy to score on most defenses in the NFL, especially in the fourth quarter, unless you're Baltimore, so the fact that Joe was able to help the team fight back from two 10-point deficits and a 14-point deficit with his supporting cast should say quite a bit.

That was hardly a sure fire touchdown;the ball ricocheted off of Smiths mask,it was not an easy catch.

For those who really want to argue over the Lee Evans catch, watch this. It's in slow motion, which really gives a good look at things. He's already in the process of turning as he's catching the ball and looks to be getting both feet down before he can go down, which is reasonable. He also has the ball knocked out in under two slow motion seconds of it hitting his hands. Saying that Lee Evans should have tucked the ball away and gone to the ground when the play happened that fast is naive because you don't know his motives and at that speed, it's impossible to know what they were, but considering he's a professional football player, you can bet he knows how to catch and get down. After all, he had over 300 catches and 40 touchdowns before that play. It was really just an extremely good play by Moore.

But hey, the Ravens won it after the 2012 season, so who really cares? It's unlikely they do it back to back, anyway, so I'm just happy they got to the Super Bowl and won the very next year.

I agree with this.People(mainly us) underestimate the play by the defensive back.Had the ball hit him uninterrupted it'da make a better claim.

    But we needed a scapegoat.
