  1. ...at this point,it really doesn't matter "who's practicing and who's not." Either way, we're still gonna lose. I hate to sound like a downer, but I've just accepted the fact that worst team in the NFL this year. I don't even know if we'd beat the Lions at this point!! smh
  2. ...we got so many broken parts, it's hard to know where to start the repairs. Especially since all the parts are inter-dependent on one another to achieve team success. This makes 2 yrs in a row we won't make the play-offs, let's just hope that next year we can get back on track. But first we have to evaluate what we have to see who's worth keeping and who's not. I think the tight-ends are fine, rbs are fine, Juice is fine, Jimmy Smith is rusty but will be fine, Webby (the jury is still out, cause he's gotten burned too many times as of late or has been out of position), Will Hill will be fine, Sizzle will be fine, Dumervil will be fine (if he stops the bonehead plays), Brandon Williams will be fine, Upshaw will be fine, Zadarius Smith will be fine, Kamar Aiken (jury is still out), Gibbons will be fine, Jeremy Zutah will be fine, and Osemele will be fine. Eugene Monroe should be safe, and of course...Marshal Yanda is fine.
  3. this year we always find a way to lose, no matter how bad our opponent. i'm beyond disgusted. I don't even record our games anymore.
  4. we played more like Ravens today than any other. By that I mean we pulled it out at the end, even though it was a tough game. What I don't understand is why it took SSS to go down before the rest of the receivers would step up. Kamar Aiken started playing lights out! Ross and Givens started getting separation. It was amazing to see those guys get hot!
  5. idk what happened to Marlon Brown...his first season, he was ballin' with us. But now, he's like another Jacoby Jones...you don't know if he's gonna catch the ball or not, or if he does catch it, will he hold on to it after contact. Most of these defensive guys don't seem to be disciplined, and they don't seem to be sure of where they're supposed to be when lining up. Jimmy Smith seems to be trailing in coverage in a lot of situations, and Webby should be released at the end of the season...he looks awful! He misses too many tackles, is always trailing in coverage, and is not a hard hitter. He hit one of the Cardinal receivers and didn't budge him...he only succeeded in getting kinda' shook up himself. Anyone else notice this about him?
  6. jek81791? I'm seriously convinced we "can't" beat anyone this year. Not even the 0 - 6 Lions!!! That's just how bad we are. We seem to play good in short spurts, and then by the end of the game we've run out of gas and can't sustain a drive or defend our turf long enough to secure a victory. Truth be told, we really should be 0 - 6. If not for the Squeelas missing those 2 field goals, I think we lose there too.
  7. ahahahahaah? It's tough when you see ya team lose game after game after game, and you're use to winning those gamees. We're not tough anymore. The Browns showed their toughness yesterday, when they knocked one of our guys out of the game...them fools were hitting. If we had Ray Lewis & company on the team we would retaliated and knocked somebody's helmet off. We're playing like the Jacquars, man!
  8. Purple&Black? You're right! We make these lame teams and players look like Superbowl contenders cause we're just that bad this year. It's embarrassing. I can't even lift my head at work when the subject of football comes up. I shy away and leave. The Ravens of last year would've won all 5 of those games we loss. We had the lead late in those games and couldn't hold it. We can't keep saying we got work to do, and then the next week we look even worse. This team isn't disciplined, that's the bottom line. Blown coverages, penalties...all signs of a lack of discipline. Mis-tackling is a technique problem...if we can correct those 2 things and get to the quarterback consistently or get some real pressure on him to make him uncomfortable in the pocket, we could be a real force to reckon with! But right now, we're just a joke! And to think that before the season, some pundits thought we would be Superbowl contenders...that's a laugh.
  9. Dewy101? Sadly, you're right. We should be 0 - 5. We only got the Pittsburgh win because they made more mistakes than we did, and they made the last mistake. Both teams flip=flopped back and forth with plays. If they're kicker had been on-point, I think we would be 0 - 5. That win we got was a fluke! We only have a handful of players that are "playing like a Raven." They are Steve Smith Sr (before injury), Crocket Gilmore (before injury), Justin Forsett (before injury), Sizzle (before injury), Dumervil (before injury), Campanaro (before injury). Then we have a few that are starting to come around, like Aiken, Waller, Ross, Boyle, Max Williams. As far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on Marlon Brown. He seemed so promising after his rookie year, but now he seems inconsistent, like Torrey Smith. I don't know if it's because of lack of playing time or not. He's got potential though, and I can see he's trying to do better but I don't know if it'll be too little, too late before he gets benched.
  10. reasons for loss: 1. too many blown coverages (splash plays) 2. too many mis-tackles 3. too many penalties And finally, late in the game the defense can't stop anyone and have no pass-rush Even though we stink "big time," it really hurts to see us lose close games like this. This game really shouldn't've been a nail-biter, but when it went to OT I figured we'd lose. In the 2nd half, it seemed like Cleveland was moving the ball at will, in the air on us. I don't see us making the play-offs this year cause I don't see us winning enough games. If we finish 8 - 9 we'll be fortunate. By the time our playmakers heal, the season will be lost for us. Looks like Cinci's ballin' right now at 5-0. Ray Lewis need to come talk to these dudes at the training facility, they need some inspiration or something!
  11. reed20fence? Maybe playing a division rival is what we need to give us that spark to get us going. Right now we don't seem to have enough motivation, as a team.
  12. when the score kept going back and forth I had a feeling we were gonna lose. Everytime we scored, on their next possession our defense couldn't stop them from scoring. SSS and Crockett seemed to be the only receivers "playing like a Raven." On defense, they should've sat Webby down...he was being humiliated out there. The only defensive players that seemed to be trying was Jimmy Smith, Will Hill III, CJ Mosely, Darryl Smith. The rest of the defense didn't show up!! That late hit on Carr by Jernigan was so stupid, costly, and so unnecessary. Hardly any of our receivers could get separation. It seems like it's true what one other commenter said earlier about the "Ravens don't have that thug mentality anymore. They're not hitting wit bad intentions like they're supposed to." They don't have that "killa instinct" and aren't hungry. smh
