  1. n#7 I agree 100%, we had absolutely no "pass rush." At times Derrick Carr had all day in the pocket to go to 2, 3 or 4 receivers as he moved around in the pocket before finding someone open. Joe Flacco was off today too, especially early in the game. He overthrew and underthrew receivers at times. I think we really did get hurt by that 15 yr taunting penalty by Wallace. I know he was fired up but he's gotta do a better job of knowing how far to go with his emotions and celebrating. And then the other thing was, we dropped too many balls: Chris Moore, Bredshaw Perriman. On 4th and 10, do or die...you gotta get beyond the sticks and must absolutely come down with that ball!!!
  2. ...the way we played today reminded me of how we use to play 2 yrs ago where we would fight hard to come back and take the lead and have our opponent against the ropes in crunch time and we then we turn around and let'em back in the game by our "D" giving up a splash play late, late in the game and we come away losers with our heads hung down when we have no one to blame but ourselves. You mean we couldn't any part of 10 yds to get Tucker within his range??? And Flacco hit Aiken right in the chest with that last pass, and he dropped it! I get it...it was a contested catch, but you gotta make that catch in that kind of "do or die" situation!! Just like SSS did in the 3rd quarter to extend our drive and then would not be denied as he headed into the endzone and finished it with a sommersault. That's how you "play like a Raven!!" Relentless!!
  3. ...one things the "hatas" can't take away from us is that right now we are at the top of our division! Yeah our wins are ugly, but they're gritty and speak volumes about our team's character...we play like Ravens!! As Ray Lewis says, "we are relentless!" It's true, the Raiders who are 2-1, will be a great test for us but we should win...especially at the bank. But we have to be careful of Derrick Carr, he's a scrambler and very mobile.
  4. it was another ugly, nail-biting win, but I'll take it. Our offense still is not clicking consistently. And Shareece Wright needs to get back to playing like he did that first game against the Bills. Right now, he's missing tackles, letting receivers get behind him, and sometimes over-running the play or being caught out of position. I think he'll get better but we need to be patient with him as he developes from week to week.
  5. ...it definitely wasn't pretty, but we walked away with the win. Unlike last year when we were in close, late games
  6. How empty would it be if we had lost. I don't think after watching some of the games today that the Cleveland offense is no where near the worst in the league. neither do I. They're much improved than last year.
  7. Whobilly? I don't think it tells teams they'll be able to come out and score 20pts on the Ravens. This is only the 2nd game of the season, and all the teams are in a constant state of flux right now, they're all evolving...it's like a moving target to try to nail down any single tendency for a single team. If this were midseason maybe I might be inclined to agree with that statement. It was a pretty win but it shows the character of our team and prepares us for later in the year when the games are more important, should we find ourselves in a situation where we're behind by a couple of TDs, just like Flacco said.
  8. I like Campanaro, but he is hurt a lot. He can't help us on the side lines. But I agree with the Greek about the Patriots signing him...he reminds me of a young Wes Welker!
  9. if Hue Jackson is a ringmaster as Harbaugh suggests, he's not a very good one when you look at Cleveland's record and style of play.
  10. ...kinda' like the days of old when the offense couldn't get it going and the defense had to secure the win by keeping the opponent out of the endzone and out of field goal range. But hopefully that won't be the story of our season.
  11. Why didn't Dumervill play? He's recovered from last season I heard.
  12. ...like Harbaugh said "he's a really slow healer." We can't afford to gamble on him again if he gets hurt again this year and misses half the season. If that does happen I say get rid of him and keep it moving.
  13. ...not surprised if the trade talks did break down due to Monroe being inflexible with his contract because he was a problem earlier on in his career with us after we won the Superbowl. He didn't want to give us a hometown discount or anything...came up with some lame excuse why he wasn't gonna do it. Like somebody said, get rid of him now and free up a!roster spot for someone who's gonna contribute to the success of the team!
  14. ...nobody cares about Perriman anymore, he gets hurt too easily. He and Campanella can share a hospital room. But at least Campanella made it on the field. It's nothing personal, but we need someone on the field not sitting on the bench. We care about him as a person, but not as a football player taking up a roster spot.
  15. they shouldn't've put the skins up there, along with the Squeelas and Patriots. It should've been the Bengals.
  16. ...what a BIG disappointment he turned out to be! Nobody cares about him now. Maybe next season when "we're in the hunt!" I suspect he'll hurt his knee again during the regular season and be done for the season. Like Harbaugh said, "he's a slow healer."
  17. ...we still need to work on punching it in the endzone when in the redzone. If we had a least one more touchdown, we might've pulled this one out. But we put up a good fight, considering all the adversity we've faced this year with injuries and penalties.
  18. If possible, I think we should keep Osemele and Upshaw. I like both of those guys. I think once the off-season starts, we are gonna lose a lot of potentially good talent.
  19. ...some fool at work, a Squeela fan was upset like Snoop in his video. Talking bout we aint got nothting to play for since we're outta da playoffs. Why don't we just lay down?? He was irritated. I had to set'em straight! I said, were our positions reversed, would you guys have layed down?? No! Besides we're playing for pride and respect. We aren't quitters, we have committment...we gonna fight to the end. He aid players aren't loyal to a team that's why they go where the money is. I said but that's usually after the season ends, when they can make more money. But while the season is in progress, our guys are committed. Maybe some other teams have problems with loyalty and commitment from their guys, but our guys have a different mentality. They wanna play on a winning team or with a team that at least has a real chance to go all the way, so they commit, fully to that cause.
  20. ...they know us, and we know them! They know what to expect and we know what to expect, and may the best man win!! We aint trying to go out like no punks!
  21. I'm not torn...its a no-brainer. Next year will take care of itself...we're dealing with the here and now! And i say, "take as many down with us as we can!" We need the Jets to win Sunday to send the Squeelas packing for the off-season, and we need to beat Cinci to keep them from getting a bye! They gonna be "one-and-done" anyway. It's the least we can do for them since they've beaten us the last 4 or 5 times, right?? We need to put them fools on notice (for next year)!! lol
  22. ...you have to go with the hot hand! Putting Joe in could hurt the teams chances of winning...after being on the sideline for so long Joe would have to get back up to speed and re-adjust to the speed of the game. Remember the reason why we place this game, and that's to win. And you have to play the player that gives you the best chance of winning. when that player stumbles or gets hurt, then you go back with your starter (Joe). Or you let Joe play/start a game and see how he does first. If he does ok, let him play the whole game. If he doesn't look confident or impressive for that first half, then put in Mallet to play the 2nd half so that we don't lose the game. We could do that for awhile to Joe back up to speed before giving him his job back full-time.
  23. o Purple Dawg 96, I agree with the first part of what you said about not thinking Joe would've won the game. I agree because, as of late, when games get tight Joe seemed too become to anxious (nervous feet, hearing footsteps, ansy) and sometimes run out of protection unnecessarily, and would try to force the ball down the field usually wounding up in a pick or incompletion. These last couple of years have been tough for our team. Prior to these last 2 years, Joe would not play like that cause he had consistent protection up front, and wasn't running for his life in the backfield. I don't think they'll be a QB controversy cause Joe's overall body of work has been stellar for the most part (post-season), while Mallet has only had one good game with us. We need to see much more from him before or if there becomes a QB controversy. Harbaugh is devoted to Joe...they're boys! Trust me Joe is not going anywhere...his job is safe. P.S. We need to hope Tyrod has a bad day Sunday under center for the Bills.
  24. ...true. But to be able to "stick a fork in da Squeelas and say they're done!," I think the Jets would have to lose. Denver won last night and that's good, so that's one more nail in the coffin. But to slam the door completely shut right in their collective "SqueelaNation faces" and put the last nail in the coffin, we all need to be cheering for a Jets victory over the Bills come Sunday! Are you with me??!! I think the Jets will still be riding high from their last victory over the Pats. But at the same time I don't think they'll overlook the Bills either. I think they'll be pumped and ready to do battle come Sunday!
  25. I don't think he's saying "Marlon is cut/out." Afterall, he did say "Marlon was one of his favorite guys." I don't think he'd let one of his favorite guys go, do you?
