I'm crossing my fingers that Jalen Ramsey isn't a bust and doesn't turn out to be just another average player.It's been too long since we've drafted a player that's legitimately one of the top 5 players at their position.We need to draft a superstar or two and we'e in perfect position to do that.

And will all probably be out of our price range, unfortunately.

The problem is that it's very hard to even vaguely plan about the free agency strategy and targets until we don't know how Flacco's deall will be reworked... And I don't think at all it's a forgone conclusion that it will imemdiately boost our free cap space a lot...

 

That said, I don't think we'll be in the position to really think about the big name UFA's... there will - like always - be teams with ten times as much free cap space as we do...

Weddle is the main guy I'd like to see here and he should be a cheap pick up.He has a big name but he's 30 and he's not playing like he was back when he signed his last contract.I'd be surprised if a team gave him more than $3-4 million per year.

Hill (quality of play, though I find a bit overrated) and Jimmy (due largely to contract) are locked in.

 

Everybody else in the secondary, including Webb (though I think he stays) could easily be gone. I think Shareece Wright may have played his way into a job next season on this team, and I think we like Will Davis. 

 

Personally, I don't think our corners are garbage, but I think Kendrick Lewis is. A FS who actually knows how to play FS is one of my biggest wish list items for this team.

Tashaun Gibson,Eric Berry and Eric Weddle will all be unrestricted next year and I think the last two will actually hit the market.

Aiken is a strong number three.I'm liking the idea of Smitty,Perriman and Aiken as our top 3 WR's next year,but I still would like to see them trade up into the back half of the first round and draft Doctson.Ramsey and Doctson can e our Jimmy and Torrey for the next five years.And I mean that as in they could help fill the same two positions,because they don't really have the same skill sets as the Smith's.

Why are they trying to run the ball down our throats when we have the worst secondary in the league and our best CB went down?

We can kiss KO good bye.Wagner,Yanda,Zuttah,Urschel and Monroe will probably be our starting five next year.Urschel has been decent enough at the center position this year.I feel like he would play better at the guard position that he was actually drafted to play at.

Timmy threw his man to the ground in that last vine clip.I'm disappointed with the season he's been having.After his rookie season and seeing him workout with Dockett,I was expecting him to become a star this year with or without Suggs on the line with him.Maybe he'll become a star next year when he has Suggs,BW and Doom surrounding him on the line.It would also be nice if we could sign Ngata for a cheap contact so he can retire a raven and give us some depth on the D-line.

+100. Last year w/ Kubiak (who everyone loved) we were ranked 12th in total offense.   Before yesterday's game we were ranked 11th in total offense.  So our offense is actually ranked higher than last year but everyone wants to blame Trestman, huh???  

I think it's just the name that they hate.What he's been doing with what he's been given is amazing.Can you iImagine if he had the 2011,12 or 14 offense?We'd probably be around top 5.

I wasn't aware of Buck Allen before the draft but I was a hige fan of him after I went and watched some tape on him.There were a few videos on youtube that showed every on of his carries in some games and I could see why the Ravens drafted him.With that said,I would like to see him get his yards per carry up though.Having 3.9 yards per carry is not a good thing.In some ways he kind of reminds me of a bigger slightly less explosive version of Ray Rice.

I didn't notice that we were getting so few holding calls.Now that it's been brought to my attention I realise that it's absolutely true.The refs have been looking real inept this year and something needs to be done about it.People spend hundreds of millions betting on teams and buying stadium tickets every year and when the refs influence the game this much it makes it seem like the game is fixed and we're being duped.Unfortunately,as long as the owners are seeing their profits increase every year I doubt Goodell will be held accountable for anything.He's had alot of bad things happen under his watch in the past decade or so that he's been commissioner though.

Ravens are still in the hunt for a top 4 pick and Tunsil.

It wouldn't make sense to spend such a rare and expensive draft pick on a LT when we already have a player who is one of the highest paid players at the position.Plus,Monroe is good enough for us to keep playing this "will he or won't he play" game with him until his contract is up.Now that we're officially out of the running for Bosa,it seems like it's more likely that we'll be drafting Jalen Ramsey.I'd rather Ozzie draft Treadwell,but I'm starting to become okay with the idea that Ramsey will be a Raven in April.

We usually beat the dolphins 28-10 or 27-13 during the Flacco and Harbaugh era.It'll be interesting to see what happens today.

I'm a fan of this aggressive 4th down play calling.I'm not sure if we'd actually be doing it so much if we were 8-3 and not 4-7 though.Hopefully this aggressiveness carries over into next year when we're back in playoff contention.

Is it a bad thing that I'm sad because we won that game?We just officially took ourselves out of the Joey Bosa lottery.It's good chance we won't even get a top 5 pick now.I guess it's time to hop on the Laquan Treadwell bandwagon.

Trestman and Peas!! Time to replace both of these failures once the season is over. The team needs new ideas and direction in both areas. Never did figure why we went with Trestman and still can't. Cameron was even better to a degree.

Why on earth do you want Trestman gone?We have dog poo at WR and all kinds of injuries on the o-line yet at the time of this comment we're a top ten offense.

I agree with Ray.The only difference between Belicheck and Ryan is Tom Brady.If Rex had a HOF QB he probably would've won two rings with the Jets.

The past is the past in the NFL (too). By that logic, Keenum should have also been our downfall last Sunday, as he pretty much sunk our ship last season in Houston... and look what happened three days ago...

 

The situations you're comparing are apples and oranges.When Keenum beat us it wasn't because of anything he did.It because of what JJ Watt and that defense did.When McCown beat us it was a direct result of his play.Case Keenum is a young QB with very little playing experience.Josh McCown on the other hand is a smart experienced vet whose been in the league for over a decade.Those are two totally different QB's and two totally different situations.

This is good news.I had little faith Manziel would be able to beat the Ravens.With McCown in there we have a chance to stay in he race for the top pick.

If the Cleveland Browns can't beat us at home on a Monday night when we have Matt Schaub starting for us at QB on one week of preparation,this laughable secondary and Flacco,Forsett,Suggs and Steve Smith all on I.R.,I'll lose what little respect I have for that organization.
