You'd think that even if we are bad at running the ball we'd atleast have a fluke game where we ran well or at the very least a fluke play that went for 35/40 or more. This team can do absolutely nothing on the ground. It's astonishing.

What happens with CB Jerraud Powers, has he any injury or something?
He played horribly in the preseason and Levine and Young have been doing a good enough job on defense and they also play special teams. Those two are probably the reason why he's inactive.
If Trestman can get the run game going to complement what Flacco is doing passing wise,we'd win this game by atleast 10.
It's still way too early to tell but as of right now I have to say Stanley. Our run blocking has been poor but the pass protection has been pretty good for the most part and Stanley and Lewis have been a big reason why.Plus, one thing you have to take into consideration is we might not have either Young,Moore,Dixon,Lewis or Judon on the team if we made that trade.Young has made some great tackles and that ST play,Moore was a few inches away and Pitta being set from being our leading receiver last week,Dixon looked like our best back in preseason,Lewis has been an ok LG and Judon has been a pleasant surprise since the first game of pre season. It's hard to justify trading what Stanley has been/could be plus what one or two of those guys have been/could be for what we've seen so far from Ramsey and where he can go from there.

A RG3 led browns team may not win many games, but a McCown led team would.Theres no shame in having a McCown led browns team put up a fight against you.Go and look at his numbers from other games last year and the numbers he put up with the bears in 2013.The browns team we faced last sunday with McCown is not the same team that lost to the eagles and wont be the same team that takes the field next week.
You mean we can't keep Joe forever?
I was just thinking about that yesterday when I read that Doom could be back this week.Ithink Correa is this obvious odd man out on defense and Kenneth Dixon could challenge Chris Moores spot depending on the matchup.

In a way I was actually hoping Jax would win yesterday just so they wouldn't be as desperate next week.

Bortles can fling the ball. Julius Thomas will be an issue. The Ravens need pressure on the Jaguars o-line to limit the big plays..
They had all of that last year and only scored 19 points on us(not including the field goal that shouldnt have been) and that was vs a lesser version of our defense. Most of Bortles yards and tds are just garbage time stats.I read somewhere that Bortles has 3 career 1 st quarter tds.He basically pads his stats vs prevent defenses after the jags are losing.Just look at yesterday. His stat line was horrible until the 4th quarter when SD let up.I'm not guaranteeing a win or implying this is a gimmie, but unless things go wrong in some way like the first quarter of last game, this shouldn't be as difficult as some of you are making it out to be.
Just tell Brian Billick to keep his mouth shut about the jaguars schedule and we should hopefully extend our winning streak.
“We saw this at times last year and to a greater degree in 2013, but a Joe Flacco-led offense simply does not work without some kind of running game to set up play-action opportunities.”
So were going to judge how well a Flacco led offensse works based off of the two years we had no weapons at WR and TE?Everyone Flacco threw to in 2013 beside Torrey and Dickson are out of football and even with the inexperienced players he was throwing to last year we still had a top ten offense before he went down. This year Joe has weapons and even without the run game hes still doing his thing and I believe he'll continue to do his thing.
I have the feeling Brian Billicks comments about the browns having no wins on their schedule is the reason the browns came out so fired up against us.

Wright tackled well last week but when you look at the all 22 film his coverage was lacking just like in this game.Tyrods inability to read a defense and make the right throws is what made him look good.
All Wins Matter!
This is so sad.I loved watching Ravens training camp videos and behind the scenes sideline videos and seeing him interact with our D line.I definitely remember hearing that voice ringing out at practice and his energy as the article said. RIP CB!

However, after I saw the Falcons lose their home opener after being undefeated in the Matt Ryan Era, it's basically pointless.
You would think with how great our defense played, we'd be able to hold them to like 10 points or whatever. Game by game basis people. I still expect our offense to suffer from growing pains. Flacco REALLY has to stop playing timid.
What does the Falcons losing have to do with our games vs Cleveland?I was predicting they would lose that game.Anyone who has been following Atlanta and Tampa closely knows that the Falcons are a dumpster fire and the Bucs are a young team on the come up.

I don't either and that's the sad part.People actually believe Ray killed someone when all he did was refuse to talk.Whenever I look under a Ray Lewis tweet or a tweet about Ray Lewis by ESPN or something, all I see is murder jokes. It honestly blows my mind.

Was the 2014 post season a fluke too? What about his play and stats from the 2011 post season?
1 hour ago, rmcjacket23 said:The only other post that made me chuckle was how confident a lot of them are that they will be able to run the ball at will on our defense, and specifically, how some people think that Dumervil being out makes our run defense easy to run on. Don't quite get that one.
He's an under-rated run defender, but I don't worry about the run defense because he's out.
That made me laugh too lol.I also laughed when a poster said Jernigan was one of our best guys in the front seven then in the same sentence said almost verbatim "and to be nice I'll throw Williams in there too".
I don't see why so many people think we will lose to the raiders at home.I don't see that as a game we should lose at all.
Not trying to be a downer, but I can't believe we spent 4 million of what could have been roll over cap space for next year on a 33 year old return specialist.I haven't agreed with 90 percent of the things this organization has done since winning the superbowl and trading Boldin away.
Zach Orr really impressed me this preseason.I'm excited to see what we have in him in the reg season.
Dean Peas has to go and so does Powers. If our defense looks anything like the first drives from the first two games of preseason or the defense from last year then we have no choice but to find a new DC.I'm tired of excuses and explanations. Our defense has looked like swiss cheesefor 4/5 years straight!

In the video I saw he said he was top 3 in the most UNDERRATED QBs in the league. This thread made it to 10 pages over a mistake lol.
