Jarvis Landry is gone. Are there any wideouts for Joe to throw to. How bad does this offense have to get to get some kind of help?
Cody Hoffman is still out there. He's a very underrated, huge and athletic wr.To me he's our last hope at upgrading our offense in the draft.I think he's this years Alshon Jeffery. He's the same size as Evans and posted similar combine results.
I was mad when they decided to pick Mosley over Pryor, but now that I've spent some time getting over it I'm just happy we're not going to force Arthur Brown into our starting lineup.I'm still not sold on him.I think he's the next Tandon Doss.A fan favorite that everyone looks at through purple glasses and he'll never turn into a star player.Let alone a starter. But anyway, how I feel about Brown is a moot point now because we have CJ!
It's about time we got bigger at ILB.All of the current ILB stars in the league are atleast 6 foot 2 inches with the exception of Bowman and Willis. Were gonna have one heck of a front seven for the second year in a row.All we need now is Jordan Mathews in the second.Or maybe to trade up and grab Lee in the early second if he keeps dropping.....
Love, love, love this move... Should we go O-line in the first, Martin out of ND would be perfect given his flexibility as a G/T - similar to KO.
Ozzie's had one heck of an offseason!
Ozzie's offseason is giving me the most optimism I've felt for the team since right before Suggs went down in 2012.I still believe that Hakeem Nicks was a better option than Steve Smith but with a strong draft we should still be good enough to make a playoff run in the AFC with the squad we have.
I like the idea of KO being at RT at least for now.
LG spot is wide open, Shipley was there last time and was somewhat okay and Im not sure if Gino is any better. I like to see if Jensen or Wagner or Jah Reid can be a starter there. One of these guys have to step up and separate himself from others. Its going to be interesting Training Camp.
I think we should keep Osemele at LG.He did ok at RT but he wasn't a standout player or a special player at that position. He shines best at the LG spot.I also think we should sign a free agent rt.We still have enough cap room to sign Eric Winston if he stays on the market for another month or so.Hes healthy and hes only 30 years old.Adding him would give us a respectable line.
Welp, now I have to go watch every single bucs game from last season to see just how good he is.Gameday rewind, here I come!!!
I have been a ravens fan since I was 10 years old,but when I saw that Clark title I felt the heartbeat of my allegiance to the ravens go faint. It bounced right back because I'll bleed purple blood for life, but if the ravens actually sign Clark that heartbeat might have a full on heart attack.
I just hope most of you guys are right. I am not as sold on this signing. He will be 38 at the end of his 3 year contract. I just don't know many 35 year old WR that are still elite in the NFL. 35 at WR is considered a age for retirement. I hope Smith works out.
Same.
I've been against this move the whole time but now that he's on the team he's I have no choice but to buy in.Hopefully I'm wrong about him trending downward.I'm hoping he proves me wrong because my guy Hakeem Nicks just signed a 1 year $3.5 mil deal which is a complete steal that we could've had.
Torrey Smith,Hakeem Nicks,Jacoby Jones and Marlon Brown is the type of receiving corp needed to compete with Denver. We shouldn't go after Steve Smith. He's trending downward.Give Hakeem the 4.5 million per year he wants and watch our offense go from bottom 5 to what it was in the 2012-2013 playoffs.
for how much because jon beason a player that is worse than daryl just got 3 years 19 million. so 3 years 25 to 28 million not happening. but i've seen crazier things.
Jon Beason is not a worse player than Smith. He went through a stretch of injuries and bad luck in Carolina for a while but when healthy he's a perennial probowler. He's also a couple years younger than Smith.
I don't care if his stats declined after being sent to the jets.I don't care if he had a serious injury 2 years ago.I don't care if he is an ex steeler.I don't care if I get negged for saying this.We need to sign Santonio Holmes! We need to sign him or at the very least give him an interview and a physical. He defines the words "clutch" and "playmaker".
I didn't think I would get so excited to hear that Jacoby was resigned lol.So far this off season is like the opposite of last off season. We're keeping most of the talent that we wanted to keep and we're still saving left over cap space in the process.
If we would happen to cut Rice (not saying they would, just if it turned out he was in very deep trouble), is it true that I heard it would be 5,000,0
00 some against our cap? So would he just count against this years, or however long his contact is?
If we cut Rice we would have $14,250,000 in dead money against our cap this year. Not a smart move at all....
If the cap really is $132 million then that means we have $21,677,225 in cap space before we make any cuts. After the inevitable release of McClain we'll have 24,877,225 in cap.We can keep everybody we want to keep with that much cap space!!!
Remember that ERFA/RFA tenders and draft pick allocation will still eat up a fairly large portion of our cap room. Raising the cap up to $130M certainly helps, but remember that the available cap you see isn't necessarily going to be accurate since no one ever accounts for tenders and such.
We don't have anyone worth tendering this year.We might put an original round tender on Josh Bynes(if you can do that with an undrafted guy) but none of the other restricted guys are worth that much.Draft picks may take up $3-4 million though.I think I read that there is a set cap number that can be spent on them but I don't remember how much that number is.
I can't wait for the details to come out.I want to know what his new cap numbers are.
If Terrell Suggs is not on this roster come week 1 a #1 wr better be filling the void his extra cap space would leave.A straight up trade giving Suggs to ATL in exchange for Roddy White sounds reasonable to me.They're both around the same age, have 1 year left on they're contracts, would fill a huge need on each team and are close to being paid the same. But I'd rather us extend Suggs and keep him and Dumervil together for the next 3 or 4 years.
Shanny Please!
i think we should get an OC first and depending on the scheme decide what kind of WR we need.
ideally a Calvin Johnson, AJ green, Fitz like wr who is a physical freak would be ideally but those dont grow on trees.
Kenny Britt the ability to be one of those guys.We should sign him.The only reason people don't mention his name along with those other guys is because he has never had a good QB.If Flacco was throwing to him his numbers would explode just like Demaryius Thomas' did when he got Manning.
I think we should bring in Kenny Britt next off season. The titans are doing us a huge favor this season by refusing to give him playing time.He only has like 8 catches and 67 yards. That's crazy for someone with his talent.I think he could be had for about a $2.5 - 3.5 mil one year contract which would be a bargain.
Zero chance, will command/want too much money. Team needs to draft a top tier receiver to go along with Smith and Brown.
Agreed! We need a legit #2(or #1 depending on how you feel about Torrey Smith).Jones is a #3 with great kick return skills.
I think we should do it just so we can move Elam back to his natural position.Plus it would be a huge benefit to us if we somehow make the playoffs and run into Manning and the broncos. He out smarted our defense on alot of those big plays he had.Oh yeah,he could also make sure Brady doesn't run circles around our defense when we face them in a few weeks.

I would agree with you if Steve Smith was still "STEVE SMITH" or if Marlon Brown would've showed us a little more than he did last year.At this point in Smith's career he's a 3rd option/slot guy.We still don't have a certified #2 wr.Brown could be that guy if he continues to improve but it's not a guarantee that he will.
