  1. Releasing Pitta after June 1st will give us enough to sign the rookies.
  2. The most exciting thing is that we can afford to spend almost all of it.We'll probably be releasing Pitta after June 1st and that extra 5 mil should be enough to get the rookies signed and still have a million or two left.
  3. After all the signings and restructures we've done I'm completely unaware of our salary cap situation, but I hope it's enough to sign Wallace and atleast entertain the idea of Grimes.I'm not completely sold on Grimes because I think we could get close to what he would bring to us for less with some of the other guys that are out there.
  4. I can't believe Ozzie and company are this serious about Monroe not being in the picture.
  5. I don't like this signing. They wasted valuable cap space that could have went towards signing Pacman,Jerraud Powers or Greg Toler. We already have enough at TE with Gilmore and Williams. The front office should really be looking into pass rushers,CB's and somebody like Mike Wallace who can give us speed on the outside since Perriman is a question mar both health wise and ability wise.
  6. Why are we looking at a TE when all we have on the outside is question marks?Go back to chasing after Pacman and try to Mike Wallace after he gets cut.I don't think the price tag on either of those two should that crazy.
  7. No one took your bait lol.
  8. I don't see any comments or a section to write a comment on the front page articles. Is this because we can no longer comment on articles or is it because we have to wait for that feature to kick in?
  9. Zach Orr is not a star in the waiting,IMO.Daryl Smith gave us 121 tackles,3 sacks,3 passes defensed and 1 int last year. And last year was his "bad" year if you want to call it that.If Orr could give us 80 percent of what Daryl can, then that means you're calling him the next Dannell Ellerbe. That's a good point you made about him maybe coming back at a lower price.I was so shocked that we cut him that I hadn't considered that.We did the same thing with Canty last year.
  10. We just created a huge hole in the middle of our defense for $2.6M.I hope we spend it well.
  11. I know what you mean.Supply of talent and the demand of a given pick could drive the price up on a pick, but it still gives fans a baseline to work with.
  12. There hasn't been a defensive back chosen number one overall in over 60 years.Ramsey is good, but he's not good enough to break that streak. The titans will chose either Tunsil or Bosa and the browns are getting rid of Manziel which means it's QB time in Cleveland.Plus, they'll more than likely be keeping their FS(can't remember his name) who is one of the top safeties in the league when healthy and they have Joe Haden and a CB they just spent a top ten first round pick on two years ago.Unless Cleveland sees something in Goff that makes them think he absolutely has no upside and is a bust, they really have no choice but to shoot for the moon and draft the best QB in the class hoping they'll find a gem.
  13. The 25th pick is pittsburgh so I highly doubt any trading will be going on between our teams. To answer your question though,We'd need to trade our third and swap positions in the 4th round for that trade to even out on the trade chart.
  14. Yeah,I found out about the draft trade value chart a few years ago and I've been calculating imaginary drafts trade scenarios ever since.
  15. The best secondaries in the league have won the SB the past 3 years and our secondary is GARBAGE as is.We need a SB caliber secondary. We need Ramsey!
  16. Assuming the titans take Bosa, the browns take a QB and the chargers take Tunsil,we need to attempt to trade our first and third round pick to the cowboys for Ramsey.I had given up on the idea of him after we landed just out of the top 5,but after his combine performance yesterday,he's worth the 1 or 2 extra picks it would take to get him. There's no way he won't hit the ground running as a rookie and become a pro bowler. He's the second biggest sure thing in this draft.I'd even be ok with us having to go as high as our 1st,3rd and a future 5th if the cowboys really wanted to be stubborn about it.
  17. I liked Treadwell until he decided to not run a 40 at the combine. That's a huge red flag.
  18. I'd love that if we could get him for about $4 million a year.
  19. Not sure what a blocking TE getting suspended has to do with a pass catching TE being back on the team... Pitta's no push over at blocking.
  20. "It’s pretty common. It’s what you read about all the time with guys" Adderall...
  21. So many of these guys picked that tackle Stanley and only one person picked Treadwell.I'm glad early predictions for the top 5/6 are almost always inaccurate.
  22. Last year, the Browns and Saints got home MNF games after going 7-9,the Falcons got one after going 6-10 and the Redskins got one after going 4-12.In 2014,the Redskins got one after going 3-13.If you would give MNF home games to those teams,I honestly don't see why you wouldnt want to give one to us with the stadium, lively fan base and team we usually field.
  23. We don't need an expensive aging RB.Our running game is just fine with Forsett and Buck.
  24. I think a talented CB to go opposite Jimmy is more important than a pass rusher is going into next season.I know Suggs suffered a serious injury and is a year older, but he and Doom played at a crazy high level when they were both on the field together. It's hard to believe that they won't even be good enough playing together next year. Our pass rush looks like it's at the least good enough to win a SB.As is,the secondary doesn't look like a superbowl winning secondary,IMO.
  25. "He hasn't got the job done in "crunch time" consistently" What???Flacco definitely does get the job done in the clutch the majority of the time.I could name countless clutch crunch time plays/performances of his throughout his career, but I won't because it would turn this comment into a novel.Last year was just a blip in his career. No QB in NFL history has gotten the job done in crunch time 100 percent of the time. "Flacco hasn't had a 4000 yd season yet nor threw for over 25 tds in a season." What does that have to do with anything?Yards are just a product of a high number of attempts. You(I don't mean you in particular but ravens fans in general) can't cry about us moving away from a team that dedicates everything to defense and a run game and then hold it against Flacco when his stats reflect the way the team around him was built. Also,he threw for 27 TD's in 2014. "hes good enough to win if our defense turns rabid like they used to be." I don't see how you could think the only way we've won with Flacco in the past and/or can win with Flacco in the future is with a rabid defense.Especially not after the 2012/13 SB year. We've only had what I would call a rabid defense twice since he's been here.If we can manage to find Flacco just one Elite weapon and surround that player with guys who are respectable and dependable, that would do more for this team than you could imagine.
