  1. How about 65, for the record!
  2. No. Ties for draft order are broken using strength of schedule, not head to head match up. If strength of schedule is tied, then a coin toss at the scouting combine is used. We were tied with Dallas in 2014 for strength of schedule and 8-8 record. Dallas won the toss. We were also tied record with Pittsburgh and they won the tiebreaker to be second in division ranking. It seemed odd, but Pittsburgh picked at 15, Dallas at 16, and Ravens at 17. So, different tiebreakers for different situations.
  3. That was last season last time I looked. 2016 isn't in the books yet or are you physic as well. Give it a rest will ya. Hear hear
  4. "hes just and average qb. who has a superbowl behind him cuz of the ray lewis last year the team took it to another level for ray." The Super Bowl "he has behind him"....that was all him. That was statistically the greatest post season by a QB in the history of the NFL. You may think he's an average QB, but for that playoff run he was the G.O.A.T. Thankfully for Ray he was able to put that together. Remember, it took nearly 40 points to beat Denver and over 30 points to win the Super Bowl.....hardly "taking it to another level (on defense)". Very well-stated. People associate the Ravens' consistent and historically great defense with our last Super Bowl win. That's revisionist history. The Ravens' 2012 defense was the worst Baltimore had fielded in years (and since). Teams ran right through the teeth of the Ray Lewis-led front 7. It was downright embarrassing. Yeah, that postseason run.....that was all Joe. And shame on anyone who doesn't remember it correctly.
  5. That's ridiculous! NOT signing him would have been dumb. Don't you remember how valuable he was to us? The contract was reasonable. You're just saying that now that he's been injured. And to call it "the dumbest in Ravens history"? Stop. Please... just stop. *grumbling incoherently* So-called fans and experts.... If only we all had the crystal ball you have....
  6. Maybe he eventually replaces Dean Pees. How can we rid ourselves of him?
  7. I would rather help Pittsburgh win the division by beating the Bengals in week 17. No way I want Cincinnati representing the AFC North. At least I respect the Steelers. Andy Dalton is a clown.
  8. I like Trestman as the O-coordinator, I just wish he let our guys run more. But, on the other hand, being over-dependent on the run has gotten the entire offense shut DOWN in the past. Perhaps he's onto something...different offensive style for different opponents...has its benefits. At least Trestman is ours for now. I doubt anyone is in a hurry to hire him as head coach.
  9. Where's Ryan Jensen? He played Center a lot during the preseason. He looked to be a beast.
  10. I don't believe for one minute that they are even considering bringing him back. Harbs is just being diplomatic and polite. Seems like there's a de facto policy against "going backwards". And I don't think they should bring him back. Look, he was a hero for us in 2012. Team and fans rewarded him with much love and loyalty. He was absolutely given the benefit of the doubt in 2013 and 2014 when his play was one heartbreak after another. We put on our purple-colored glasses and stayed patient. But when his special teams big play ability went missing...well, the party was over. Let these new guys work. Let's give Joe the opportunity to show he can make no-name receivers into household names. One thing's for sure: Tom Brady didn't come out of a box like he is now. Someone gave him an opportunity...with some no-name guys. Now...when the offense succeeds, Joe will get the (further) respect he deserves.
  11. All of these results are simply horrible, rotten luck. It's as if there was a hex put on our team. No way they are as bad as their record suggests. *Channeling Ray Lewis* I need nothing but positive energy from every fan. There's no doubt. No weapons forged against us shall prosper.
  12. Can we just give Dean Pees the Cam Cameron treatment and fire him mid-season? Never mind the playoffs... We can't just keep losing in THIS way. Defense just STINKS! And that is straight BLASPHEMY when speaking of the Baltimore Ravens. Somewhere, Art Modell is stirring in his grave. Harbs, you better recognize.
  13. My post about "being happy to finally see him...", about two below, was about Ryan Jensen. I tried to reply with quote from earlier post about him and I screwed it up. I ended up quoting alone in one post and then adding reply in a second one. Well I'm getting better at least. I had to ask for help from other users in order to get that far.
  14. That's awful. Never say "never".
  15. I was really happy to finally see him. I remember the staff keeping him on the active roster all season in 2013, his rookie season, even though he was too injured to activate on game day. They really believed in him and wanted him practicing with the team. It was questioned all season. But, as usual, the staff knew best. Now look - we now have a quality backup Center in case Zuttah goes out.
