The defense was by no means terrible this year but this trend has been happening since Chuck left town. When we have a lead under Pees in must win games we always find ways to blow it. Since Dean has taken over we have not had a pass rush. I don’t believe that we don’t have the talent but I believe it’s more of a scheme issue. I hope that we make a change at DC but I doubt it because John will make an excuse for him. We have seen the best that Dean has to offer and I believe it’s time to move on. I hope that we can have a good discussion about this as I may be wrong. I just have not liked the way he has coached our defense and how we suddenly have no pass rush but before he was DC we developed talent better than almost everyone else.

Yeah I get to look forward to watching Flacco regress more and 4 quarter blown leads.

He should have rested and not held us back. I'm happy he wanted to fight through the injury but he hurt us more then helped us this season.

I feel like the times when Jimmy was out you knew the other team was going to attack through the air. We some how always let teams get past us on the back end while the defensive front gets no push. We have not had a elite defense under Pees and 2014 defense sounds a lot better now when we were going through it. The offense carried them that year for sure. I am not going to say the defense wasn't good this year but they could have been great if we schemed better. Stop trying to make square pegs fit into round holes.

I remember 2014 and we did have a pass rush but only because everyone was trying to kill our secondary. I think with how well the offense was playing it made it easier to stay fresh thus look like more of a pass rush then what it was. Plus we still had Ngata then as well and Dumervile was on the decline as he is now.

Yes I agree it could be a mix of both.

@trevorsteadman I will agree those things factor in but look at the body of work as a whole. It has been this way since 2013 when he took over the DC spot.

Positive is we are trending up finally. I like the new look offense and hopefully we can put together a full game. Its been a while since I have seen one so Im sure its due.

I think they learned their lesson with Legs aka Myers. It makes not signing Long this offseason or keeping Monroe look like a bad move now but in Ozzie I trust.

Im not shocked the Wentz and Prescott are number 1 and 2 but who is Robinson and Conklin?

Football is a business and if your not performing you need to go. At no job are you allowed to slack off and continue to have tour job.

Wright and Hurst need to be let go both are awful.

Fire Trestmen and Pees at the end of the season. Atleast then we have a excuse for the lack of coaching put forth. Pees normal 4th quater defense and Marks lame offense is the reason we are a joke. Harbs keeps sticking by them and he can go too. They are wasting the talent we have.
