As to what they see they probably see more than you are. The job of a head coach is not just whether to go for it on 4th down, its game preparation, player development, and being able to get the most out of the talent you have. In all of those fields unless you are putting blinders on you can not argue that John Harbaugh has been exceptional and that is why his job is safe.
Even if I did agree with you... the in game decisions are the most important aspect. It's like getting all of your homework questions right, but failing every test. Just about every game there has been a key decision that has been awful.

Which one is it?
I think it comes down to the decision he makes more so then the execution of the plays. We in and week out he makes poor decisions. I'm not sure how the higher ups don't see this... I'm hoping this is his last year.

So he admitted he is an awful coach. Great
No doubt flacco is playing poorly, but the oline is a major factor in that. This oline is just about as bad as it gets. Also, coaching is god aweful. You can't rush the ball 10 times in a game and expect to win. It's pathetic.

Absolutely. His inability to properly assess in game scenarios and flow is scary.
It really doesn't matter how you win. Get to the playoffs and anything can happen.
The defense looks very good in all levels. They have had 1 bad quarter. The offense can, and probably will improve as the season goes on... Yes, they may need more than 3 games to click.
We are 3-0, and have a home game comin' up. I like where we stand.
No way Camp is gone. Zero... Maybe less
I can't find an article. Can someone help me... Is Brandon Williams injured?

You forget that the guys on this message board have been studying film day in and day out for the past 4 months. Don't forget the all the youtube highlight videos!!

Seems like it. Although, I like this pick, he seems like he could be mental... and I mean that as a compliment.
I love the "Harbaugh lied to me" comments. They make me laugh.
Good stuff guys, thanks for giving your opinions.
I wouldn't disagree. It certainly isn't nearly as fun or interesting as it was not too long ago. The 2000s were an epic decade for football. We got to watch some of the greatest QBs to ever play in their primes (Manning, Brady, Favre, Warner), some of the greatest WR to ever play in their primes (Moss, TO, Harrison, Holt) during an era when it was an accomplishment to pass for 3k yards / 20 TDs, or to rack up 1000 yards receiving.
Agreed. Those guys were a lot of fun to watch.
I was wondering if football is starting to lose it's luster with anyone other than myself? I get it, it doesn't help when your team isn't playing well, but regardless, I feel as though these games are borderline unwatchable.
There are flags on what seems like every play, I can't tell what a catch is anymore, most every hard hit is a penalty, QB's are nearly untouchable...
It is tough for me to enjoy watching any game now. Anyone else agree? Disagree?

Tanked?... They have already tunked.

TANKING? I'm not sure they will need to tank to get a top 5 pick. If they can't beat the Browns at home off 10 days rest, then every game will be a struggle.
Thread Revival. So I hear they are looking into games in Germany.... where does this end?
I have a theory about why Flacco is inconsistent early in the year, then gets better as the season progresses, and ultimately puts it all together at the end of the year/postseason.
I think it is a reflection of the instability/inconsistency of the offensive scheme itself. A new OC and scheme every single year will do that, and it takes time to adjust. Of course, it doesn't explain the occasional knucklehead pass attempt, but it would explain a heck of a lot
I always recognized that he has had lots of change at OC (throw in a QB coach or 2 as well), but never really thought about the fact that he usually plays his best football towards the end of the year. Good observation.
It's funny that when the O-Line opens up holes, the RB is said to have a good game and when the O-Line opens up nothing, we get on the RB for having a bad game. Live and die by the play of the O-line.... and D-Line
We have 218 yards rushing as a team this year.... and Flacco is the issue? And the WR's are the issue? Maybe they are a small part, but the issue as I see it, is the OLINE can't block.
I will admit that I'm of the opinion that unless you are a top 2-3 RB in the league, a RB success in 95% dependent upon the OLINE.
I agree with this. I'm hopeful for him and believe he'll do well but I'll pull the Flacco line and say I won't worry until he puts in a full week of practice and/or is on the field.
I heard he just sat down for lunch... if someone gets an update on what he is eating, or when he stands up....PLEASE POST!
I suspected this. People were praising Castillo for his work on the OL last year, but it's painfully obvious that all of the OL success was a product of Kubiak. Kubiak leaves and our run game is back to 2013 status. The only reason the passing game isn't quite that bad is because the pass blocking has been slightly (SLIGHTLY) improved compared to 2013.
Sounds like it. So instead of Castillo learning what works with these guys, he decides to go with what he wants. I'd love to confirm what exactly he has done/ is doing with the online.
Crockett is very athletic.
Hate to break it to you all, but our defensive backs have played 5-10 yards off of receivers ever since Harbaugh got here, not just with Pees. Pagano with Austin were the only guys during that time that I can remember who would actually call some press coverage for our corners. I personally would rather see our corners, regardless of their individual press coverage abilty, come up at least some of the time and jam these receivers within the 5 yards they are allowed to in order to disrupt the timing on routes. I can swallow them getting burned in press easier than the same huge cushion to allow 10 yard completion after 10 yard completion. And when you're only bringing a 3 man rush over 50% of the time, that is even more reason to have a few guys pressing since you have a whopping 8 bodies in coverage. I dunno, just my two cents. And even if Pees were to go, I don't see it changing based on the past. Maybe the secondary coverage is a product of Harbs since he was briefly that position coach for the Eagles?
Yeah, playing 12 yards off a receiver that only needs 4 yard to pick up the first is ridiculous.

Wow. I can't begin to convey how disappointed I am. There is no better place to discuss the Ravens than this forum. That is a fact.
