Great title for this article. What position will the Ravens draft first? Will it be for need or best player available? Perriman is an enigma and unproven player. If he gives the Ravens anything next year that will be a plus more than Kindle [an injury bust] was ever able to do.

A series of bad draft picks have been detrimental to our core lately. Kindle, Cody, Doss, David Reed, Ed Dickson, John Simon, Arthur Brown, Damien Berry, Laquan Williams, Elam just to name to a few bust. As for Perriman, I really believe if he couldn't return after nearly four months of rehabilitation, what can the Ravens expect from him if he injures his knee again in a team described "minor injury" status the very same result being inactive for months. He may have talent, but is he worth the wasted number #1 draft pick at this point. Too late to find out for this year. I blame the medical staff and scouts for not enough discovery on him and his underlying health issue, especially where his knees are concerned. A WR who can't run is worthless.

Hewitt, Engram, Pees and Trestman as coordinators should all be feeling the flames! Also, the Scouting team for sure first and foremost!

The first place to start reevaluating is the Scout office. They have missed so badly on a few of the first, second. even third round picks for the last five years. No pro bowlers or game changers except Mosely last year. Who exactly signed off on Perriman ? A man with an underlying medical condition that maybe is the reason why he has not been able to heal quickly from what was originally considered a minor sprain or thought not to take four months to heal. A medical miscue on the staff during evaluation process? How many of those draft picks over the last five years are still on this team? Not many of the upper level picks are presently on the squad or are contributing. There has been a revolving door of wide receivers, defensive backs and running backs. Next, regardless of what Harbs will say, Trestman is terrible. No imagination at times. Try going up tempo once and awhile. Our tight ends are starting to really prove beneficial, get them the ball more with different formations, put one of them on the move and flex one out in the same formation. Watch what those cheating Patriots do. Next, it's time for a new receivers coach, sorry Bobby Engram, you're just not getting the job done. Over, the last five years, no other drafted wide receiver, and we've had a few except Torry has done anything and none of them are on the team currently contributing. Next the defensive backs coach again leaves much to be desired and I think we all know too that lack of good talent has been critical.

Yes Ray is no longer with the team, but his inspiration how to leave a legacy should live on. Ray gave everything he had on the field, some of these baby Ravens would better themselves if they did the same.

The Ravens are a bad football team period. Lack of talent or depth in key positions.Bringing in a guy who was just cut and not contributing tells you something about his skill level. No panacea at this point. Hard to watch for sure, no expectations none at all.
