  1. Maybe if Joe would stop throwing the ball behind or at the feet of the receiver, he could improve upon those numbers. If he has another year like 2016, people will dismiss that great SB run altogether.

joe jus need's to stop throwing the ball for us...Trade him or cut him(if we can find a trade victim)is the only was we're going to be successful......and take harby with you please............need to get fresh for the future...this duo is Toast!

This Is an offensive league so I don't really blame the defense, at the end of the day the offense needs to score points and stay on the field to protect the defense. Why pay Flacco all that money if you want the defense to protect the offense? Tell Flacco to give half of that money he got and maybe they can build a defense. And I know people will start naming all these other QB's that got paid, well look at where there teams are, at home just like the Ravens and look at where they're ranked in QB ratings. Until that happens the Ravens will always be a 8-8 team or even worse. Only a hand full a QB's should get paid that amount of money because they can actually carry a team. Ravens shot themselves in the foot again when they extended Flacco's contract which set the team back again another 4 years. Ozzie has really been slipping lately.

I am sorry that you are unable to dictate the going rate for QBs in the league. There seems to be a misunderstanding of even basic Economic concepts here. And unfortunately, that is not surprising.

I am sorry you consider flacco an actual qb.......he's not worth wut he's getting paid........except on paper.....he looks sooooooo good on paper......totally agree wit steelraven here......but in reality its our below par head coach and Gutless front office which i am sure You think is jus peachy also........SMH

  3. First off, everyone stating that they're upset that Harbs is still the coach needs to chill out. Why on earth would Steve fire Harbs? Then we'll be looking for a OC, DC and HC. How many really good HC is in the market right now? All the good ones are locked up for good reason and Harbs is one of them. You guys need stop being blind to the fact that we can't win them all. Yes it's been bad the last two years (before then was Kubiack's year) but Harbs has not lost the team. You want to know what the real problem is? Allowing the OC position to be a revolving door. Why don't these guys get contracts like HC's. maybe the high turnover, IDK but Harbs is still one hell of a coach. He has his down times like clock management which is just not on him but still he's a really good coach and you guys would be really upset if he was gone and we got a medicore head coach that doesn't inspire a lint brush. We need a OC that will stay and if you take a look at all the good OC, they're not leaving there current positions for the same position somewhere else unless the team is just that bad which is uncommon. They can become HC somewhere else because teams are always firing coaches and starting all over which is why those same teams never make the playoffs. Where is the logic in that? You have to have continuity and it starts with the HC. I do think we need a change at DC and OC but who will we get? Honestly? That will transition to the same job? It's a lot that goes into it. I would've done the same thing. Sat both of them down, give them one more shot and go out and look for other coaches that will aid them like Fraizer is doing with the DB's. Stress to Marty that if he wants to keep his position he must have a balance pass/run attack and go from their. Firing John would basically throw next season out the window because that person is going to want to bring their own philosophy which we're trying to establish once again. That would be a disaster

So..........8-8 or 7-9 is fine with you!!?.............incredible!.....harbs rode Ray lewis's coattails and with out Ray harby is an average coach at best.......We gotta dump that lump and get a guy that can Coachup without Ray Lewis....OR Hire Ray Lewis...............harby is done!!

I agree on you in most of theses things
    1) Webb should definitely be cut; if l'm correct we should get 7.5 M in cap space.
    2) Cut Zuttah. He destroys way too many good drives with his excusable play and has be costing us this year. Cut him and get either a better veteran center or in the draft. Hopefully the Jets cut Nick Mangold and he could be a good replacement.
    3) Resigning- the main player that the Ravens need to resign is Brandon Williams. They can't keep letting these players go every year when they develop them. They could let Wagner walk and give the RT to Lewis.
    4) Cut Elam, Powers, and Wright. These guys are useless and they cost us huge plays in the secondary all year. They can't cover to save thier lives and it shows in the last drive vs the Steelers.
    5) Use the 2017 draft to draft playmakers in the secondary. I heard it's a lot of talent corners & safeties in this draft. Use this opportunity in this draft. Ozzie should be mosty getting corners and safeties this time and also get at least a Passrusher or two like a another McPhee or Judon that could give us 5-8 sacks production. They should keep Dumervil and Suggs and find their replacement in the 2018 NFL draft. This draft should be on the secondary because it has been lack of talent for way to long.
    6) Okay the TE's; honesty l don't think they would but they should just cut Watson. They main reason they sign him because they didn't know if Pitta wasn't gonna be able to return but now Pitta playing at his form again, we don't really need him and its wasting a roster spot and cap.
    7) WRs- while Steve Smith is retiring, l think it's time for Ozzie to sign a talent receiver in free agency like a Alshon Jeffery, Vincent Jackson or something. Joe never has a 1 receiver and it's time to get him one. Don't use the draft for a reciever because it's been bad luck as of late. I wouldn't mind getting one in the future but use this draft for secondary this year.
    8) RB's- Cut Taliaferro and Buck Allen keep West and Dixon and find one good RB gem in the draft; if you can we can also sign a quality RB that has good production and not expensive. We should have 3 good quality RB's.
    9) l think we should keep McCellan as he is a good special teamer teamer as well as signing Lawerence Guy; etc because they should be easy to resign and give us good production.
    10) Lastly, coordinators and coaching. Coaching decisions have been horrible and it cost us tremendously this season. I'm fine with keeping Harbaugh and he needs to be better or l don't know if he could last another year. We should definitely change coordinators and get aggressive ones get rid of Mornhinweg and Pees and get somebody like a Norv Turner or try hiring Leslie Frazier as a defensive coordinator who l think he could be better than Pees doing zone all the time.
So these are my opinions the Ravens should do in the offseason.

Totally impressed with ur post until the part about keeping harby..........Guess ur ok with 8-8  8-8.......Probably worse next year............we gotta DTB.......

You guys act like you know how to run an organization, we don t make the playoffs let fire everyone and we start from zero, right? Give me the name of a HC who has a better record than Harbs and that the ravens can get. How many 8-8 and losing seasons Jason Garet had before he took the Cowboys to this level. How many losing season has Sean Payton had since he won the Superbowl. How many playoffs wins and SB has Andy Reid. How many playoffs appeareance has Bruce Arians. Those are among the best coaches in the league. Now compare them to Harbs record. Look at the 49ers, great team with Jim Harbs but what happened to them when he was fired. Firing harbs is not going to solve our problem. We need a better OC maybe DC. Then we have to fill the holes in the defense. You just don't fire your HC and the FO because they did not make playoff. This FO gave us 2 SBs and a lot of playoffs wins in 20 years while some teams were in the league for ever and don t have a SB. Chill people we have a great organization and we will be fine going forward.

Couldn't disagree more. When you are satisfied with 8 and 8 and are comparing yourself to all the other losers, then you have already lost. What has made this organization one of the best is they never quit trying to improve and only have one goal and that is to make a run in the post-season. And if you think this organization will be fine by standing pat, you are mistaken. Whomever was responsible for letting Trestman go because he passed too much and then let Mornhinweg pass the ball even more will pay the price. Their is a lot of accountability to be had moving forward.

Ok so let's play a game. Harbs is accountable for bringing in the poor staff which led to bad decisions with either personnel training or play calling. So do you fire the coordinators and Harbs? Here's where it gets interesting. Now you fire Harbs. Who are you going to replace him with? If the replacement isn't as good, do yo hold Ozzie accountable for firing Harbs? Does that mean Ozzie gets fired? So now you're replacing a HOF GM. So Steve brings in someone else. If that GM isn't as good (which they likely won't be), is Steve B now held accountable? Should he fire himself?

Everyone calls for peoples' heads when we don't make the playoffs. We've gotten used to winning around here, and I have no intention of becoming complacent about it. But firing Harbaugh is an emotional decision, not a logical one.

What this team needs are new coordinators that can bring in their own position staff. Pees has done some good things, but his lack of aggression is awful. Now, maybe Rex was able to be aggressive with the defense because he had Suggs in his prime, Ngata, Ray Lewis, Reed, etc. He could be aggressive because there were players who could make execute and hold their own. Harbaugh is a very good strategic coach and understands the game. I like 95% of his gameplan calls. I would rather have a coach that goes for it on 4th down when he should than a coach that punts when he shouldn't.

Regarding positions, the right side of the O-line and defense line need replacement. Yes even Brandon Williams and Timmy Jernigan. A solid pass rush makes up for almost all defensive deficiencies. The secondary is actually in great shape, and the linebacking core is very solid. Offense is in good shape besides maybe an additional WR to help with depth. If Flacco has time, he's amazing. If he doesn't, he sucks. So get an offensive line that gives him time.

Harbs has had plenty of "time"..........No More Time!!!!!! he is done!

I want to put this out there for all the Harbs and “In OZ We Trust” blind loyalist.

    1. Pass rusher was, according to Steve, the biggest need.
    a. However, they pass on Noah Spence, home grown kid Yannick Ngakoue, and don’t make a move for Irvin.
    b. Meanwhile Correa is drafted in the 2nd round, but can’t get on the field.
    c. He relys on guys north of 33 years old to run down QBs in the 4th quarter. Not smart.
    2. The secondary has needed improvement for the last 4 years. What have they done?
    a. Cut Pollard who was an intimidator and knock out artist. Not every safety is the next Reed. You still need guys that can force fumbles and tackle.
    b. Offer Wright to a contract. Are you kidding me? The guy is a bum.
    c. Release Stewart, who is ballin for the Broncos.
    d. Cut Brooks who was their most physical safety. These pass weeks you can see Weddle is too small to get down guys. How can’t he knock down boney Antonio Brown?
    e. Waiting until the 4th round to draft a CB
    f. How is Elam on the team? Too arrogant to concede that his 1st round pick is terrible
    3. Poor use of Cap and Talent
    a. Pass few seasons drafted Gilmore, Williams, Boyle. Already have Pitta, converted Waller and Brown to TE. Yet spend money on 35 year Ben Watson. Not a long-term plan. Sometimes I wonder if He and Harbs are on the same page.
    b. The Devin Hester experiment was a disaster
    c. Draft Perriman in the 1st round because he has speed. How many deep balls was he thrown? Slants, Screens, end arounds. If Campanero can get 39 yards, maybe Perriman with 4.3 speed get a TD. How many times he is on the field? I get that he is not consistent, but he will never be without opportunities. Can’t have a 1st rounder not part of the weekly game plan.
    d. I know Marty is the OC, but Harbs is the HEAD coach. Shouldn’t he walk over to Marty and say “Run the Ball!”
    e. I can go on all day about drafting receivers that can’t catch.
    4. Identity Crisis, devaluing players
    a. I have never seen a GM that wins a super bowl then immediately blows up a team the way OZ does. Cut Dilfer for Gerbac. Didn’t learn from that and then cut Boldin, who is really a big part of Flacco playoff success. SMH
    b. Ravens use to be a power running team. Harbs hires his buddy Castillo, and the Offense line and run game have been terrible since. Flacco is an average QB (9 years of stats proves it), yet they lean on him instead of what has been successful for Ravens championship teams, the run game and paly action.

With all that being said I think Harbs gets one more year. Correa, Elam, Arthur Brown, Perriman, and other questionable early picks have kept us from an infusion of young impact players. To your point, the signing of veterans such as Watson, Hester etc, combined with horrible decisions such as Boldin has molded the Ravens into the mediocre team they've become.

Please not one more year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........not one more MINUTE!!!!!!

Dean pees must let go man, i cant stand this "PLAYING SCARED" defence

Pees blitzed almost every play in the final drive. How could you even watch that game and blame the coaches? The players on defense choked, period. Where were Suggs, Doom, Judon, Jernigan on that final drive?

hate to say it but its age..............suggs and doom just get tired at the end of the game and run out of gas and our head coach is too chicken to make a decision that counts........

  8. I think it is time for a change. Being 31-32 since winning it all doesn't cut it. I don't trust John to go out a find a good O.C. because he hasn't done so (except for Kubiack) since he has been here. John has a history of picking coordinators who are old and are not a threat to his job ( Cam Cameron, Caldwell, Trestman, Old Man Mattis and Pees). If I am SB the first person I call for an interview is the person Harbaugh should have hired as his Offensive Coordinator instead of Trestman, that being Kyle Shanahan. He would not only be my Head Coach but also my OC. Maybe he can straighten out Joe so that he becomes a much more consistent performer.

So Smart!!!!!!!!! Coach and all his philly friends gotta go!!!!!!!!

The day has arrived. Now Steve must make the decision on which way to steer his team. Should Harbaugh stay and continue leading the charge, or should he be fired and maybe someone like Josh McDaniels be given an opportunity to turn this team around. Should the Marty and Pees also be fired? The Ravens need to shore up the pass rush with youthful players who can pressure opposing QBs. The Ravens also need a stud cornerback who can stay healthy. Heck, even a playmaking wide receiver. However, who should lead the team??????

Josh McDaniels traded his 1st Round pick to draft Tim Tebow, traded FOR QB Brady Quinn (giving away Peyton Hillis), and basically destroyed the Broncos franchise.

This is the guy you want as HC?

Anyone but harby please time for a change is Now.....

  10. To RavenNation I just say RELAX. We have a great organization, Ozzie is the best, Harbaugh is great HC. We are close to be a dominant team. I hope we lose the game against the Bengals so our draft position could be as high as 14pick. I hope we use some of our TEs in a trade to move up even higher in the draft and get our next Suggs. What you think? We should the season behind us and look forward to the free agency and draft.

    8-8 forever wit harby...........so Ridiculous!!!!!
