  1. Congrats to Perriman and Waller getting their first TDs of their NFL careers. They came in the league together and I remember one article about how they could have been the future at WR, so it's only fitting they both get their first scores together. Both should be getting more time. Waller brings far more to the table imo than Pitta and Perriman shouldn't be losing snaps to Aiken for any reason. Matt Judon is a monster and should not lose snaps when Dumervil gets back. In fact, he should be getting more now. Michael Pierce has the potential to be one of the Ravens best undrafted rookie signings, and that's saying something with Baltimore's history. Shareece Wright can stay inactive for all I care. Tavon Young is balling Suggs is letting the world know age ain't nothing but a number The o-line played pretty well without Yanda and losing Lewis. Stanley isn't great but he clearly makes a difference
  2. 1. Jernigan stepped up this season. 2. Pierce is flat out balling as an undrafted rookie 3. Jimmy Smith is healthy and showing he can play 4. Tavon Young as a rookie shows more promise than any #2 CB we've had since 2012 5. CJ Mosely stepped up in coverage since last season 6. Zachary Orr is proving he should be next to Mosely for years to come 7. Weddle 8. Matt Judon is showing he can be at worst Dumervil There is simply talent on the defense. I mean legit talent for the first time in awhile.
  3. Webb won't be mentioned in that tweet since it's a comparison of man coverage on Odell and no smart team is going to put a safety on him in man. Not saying I disagree with the rest, just saying
  4. Sorry but I agreed with the decision then, and I agree with it now. I don't agree with the pitch/toss/sweep play, as they should have ran a power play up the gut imo, but the decision to go for it on 4th only a half inch out from the goal line was an easy one. Juice not making his block was the worst thing about the play.
  5. This is what I was saying on the GBU thread. I don't understand the hate he gets. If it wasn't obvious after the 2014 season, it should have been beyond obvious on Sunday watching Beckham pout with Jimmy, and do nothing but celebrate without him. Completely night and day and flat out obvious how important he is to the secondary and the defense as a whole
  6. i didn't read through this whole thread, but I'm curious. Is there still random Jimmy hate or are we finally going to lay that complaint to rest? This is the second time we've gotten a good taste of the Ravens secondary, and defense, without Jimmy Smith and it's something I'd rather not experience. On various social media, including here, I see him called out horribly the second he allows one catch. Outside of probably the Raiders game last season, I can't remember the last time he gave up over 70 yards to a receiver or multiple TDs (even one is rare for him but it happens as it has once so far this season). He's no primetime or 2009-2011 Revis, but he's a pretty good corner that greatly helps the team just by being out there I'm sure other things have been discussed heavily, but that's just one comment I wanted to make.
  7. If I'm not mistaken, Marty still ran a WCO style so the short/quick passes and checkdowns likely won't stop, but you have to assume he won't ignore the run like Marc did.
  8. With Mornhinweg set to be the new OC
  9. Coates caught one long TD play. He also dropped 3 more, two of which would have been TDs. Coates is getting more reps than Perriman AND Coates has an offense willing to actually throw to him deep often so he can makes plays on 1 out of 5 attemtps. What's with fans trashing any player who isn't great immediately?
  10. Harbaugh worked under Belichiek?
  11. Wouldn't matter. We'd actually have to throw the ball deep more often to get those
  12. Are we blaming Ozzie for injuries?
  13. The loss sucks, but I'm not going to get overly emotional and call for everyone to be fired or cut. Harbaugh is still a great coach who simply needs to learn to always take the points. That said, Trestman should have been fired before anybody had a chance to read this post. I don't even need to state the many reasons
  14. I can't believe we actually have 4 TEs active for today's game.
  15. Random guess, but probably Powers even though I think Davis deserves the shot outside with Young in the slot
  16. Well, for this week we can be glad that Washington isn't a great redzone offense. So it's weakness vs slightly bigger weakness on that level
  17. I don't think this is correct. His salary was only guaranteed if he was on the initial roster. Since they cut him to do all those IR moves and then brought him back after the initial 53 was set, his salary was no longer guaranteed. At least that's how I understand it
  18. The pass defense is an enigma so far to me. It's obvious Wright is the liability of the group, but where they rank is what confuses me. #3 pass defense #2 in yards per pass average allowed #13 in opposing QB rating Sounds good right? The last stat is pretty much middle of the pack, but not horrible #22 in passing TDs allowed #21 in opposing QB completion percentage And this is where it sucks with the TD stat primarily on Wright as he's allowed 4 of the 8 passing TDs in just the last two games. So the team limits the deep ball and forces mistakes by QBs, but we also allow a good completion percentage on short passes and TDs whenever they get in the redzone.
  19. No, Joe made his share of mistakes. Just not everyone is dumb enough to make comments saying Joe had an "eternity" to throw nor does everyone blame Joe for drops that hit receivers in their hands/chest. Believe it or not, just because someone doesn't want to place all the blame on the QB, like you and others, doesn't mean they think he's god/elite/#1/etc.
  20. Right. How dare he expect WRs to catch passes that hit them in the hands or chest unless they have 5 yards of open space!!!
  21. I'll guess nobody defends Shareece Wright anymore.
  22. Are people really blaming Joe when he can't even take a 3 step drop without a defender already within arms reach??
  23. There was some "organized chaos" on that last Raiders possession, for those that have been wanting it
  24. Pretty much this.
  25. Perriman on offense, and Webb on defense. Perriman is due for a big game and what better game than against an Oakland defense that can't stop anybody so far. Webb's been the forgotten man in the secondary so he'll cause people to like him again for one week, only to fall back to mediocrity for the rest of the season
