  1. We are ALL Ravens wondering the same thing.  Typically the entire team goes on vacation Fourth of July week and how it hits the week before or the  week after and then hit the field field running until February.

    Hello Fellow Fans,

Does anyone know if it's still possible to find the Ravens inflatable below anywhere? I know it's been discontinued. I've been looking for one to display in my yard in NC for about 2 years...no luck. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I did not find him but there is some cool stuff at fanatics  http://www.fanatics.com/NFL_Baltimore_Ravens_Lawn_And_Garden

Love that place lol  I caution buying off of EBay used, inflatables in general don't have a long lifespan, we sometimes have holiday ones  that don't last a season.

Yes, I completely agree. This is a very real cause. The opioids epidemic is equivalent to legally drugging players with the equivalent to hard street drugs.

( content removed from OP to help those on mobile :))
One question I really need to find an answer to is why anyone can prescribe opioids legally? Are they not on the banned substances list as well? Sure seems like a double standard.

I really enjoyed reading Monroe's stance on medication and marijuana legalization, I did want to clarify a few things.

The drug Toradol or ketorlac is a NSAID that is chemically similar to indomethacin, there is no opioids there.  The side effects are such you can only be on it 5 days max, and it can be given as an injection, pills, IV and nose spray.   That doesn't mean they are not also handing out Oxycodone or something like that also which opioid.

The Controlled Substances Act of 1970 admistered by the DEA and FDA have the five catagories and their various definitions of what goes where is FEDERALLY enforced.  What can be given in a certain state such as Colarado is a state's issue just as who can prescribe meds in that state.  In some states MD's, DO's PA's and CNP's have prescriptive powers that are given after passing medical and nursing boards and maintaining continuing education hours.

Marinol is a synthetic derivative of THC the active ingredient in  marijauna -- it is used for an appetite stimulant, cancer pain and narrow angle glaucoma.  This is very, very basic and as an RN I wanted try to clear things up.

You're not kidding.  I live in what I'd consider a nicer neighborhood and there was a drug bust a few blocks over.  Apparently they hit that one around 3am.

They are everywhere and it's so sad.  We used to have several a year because of 1 house, once the major dealer got caught-- we told the police they could observe from our house and it didn't take  too long about 15 yrs ago.  We had a bunch of task force guys show up with pizza and near beer and we had a deck party, 3 months after that bye-bye drugs in my area.

We had a local dude thought he was still in 'Nam, threatened a neighbor with a 'gun' , a super soaker and 2 BB guns, inferred he had hostages and was going to blow up his house, the county had the mechanized little vehicle the battering ram and SWAT team because they saw tubes on the table-- they turned out to be caulk .

The dude had been drinking and enjoying some herb so while all this was setting up he was sleeping it off watching Full Metal Jacket.  When they breached his house he was like what the heck?  The only explosives he had were the baked beans he had for dinner and     Those things like caps the kids would throw.  It was awesome to watch, the poor guy ended up 30 days at Springfield involuntary and had to stay away from his neighbor.

With all these bugs and strange happenings, are they surely the best option, BTW?

I've commented on this topic at an article and feedback suggests I'm not alone with this, so I thought why not post a question about it here - so, here it goes:

these "First Look" videos about our rookies are good and I guess everybody likes watching them - but aren't the a bit too short? 30-40 second of the guy making a catch or two, a good tackle, a sprint... You just start watching it, and it's over :( It's like one chip from a bag of chips: however good it is, you're almost surely left with the feeling of how little of the good stuff it was...

So, the question: is there a chance to make these video segments a little longer? I'm quite sure it wouldn't be a problem to find stuff for 2-3 minute segments on each rookie's camp performance - and I'm also quite sure we, fans, would welcome it - especially these times when there's so few things are happening football- and Ravens-wise...

  7. They could station him back at the Academy, Pax river, Bethesda or NCIS because he studied cyber- security.  It depends on the deal he cuts with the navy--  this is from the article Ludy referenced

    Quote

Everybody at the Naval Academy is expected to serve. Nobody was above this rule— not football players or anyone else. The opportunity to serve my country is the No. 1 reason I came to Navy. And to be honest, it’s a strange spot to be in. On one hand, I could very well be taken in the NFL draft this week. I could follow a path similar to the one taken by long snapper Joe Cardona, who was drafted in the fifth round out of Navy last year. He’s the standard for me right now. He was able to appear in all 16 games as a rookie for the Patriots while still on active duty. During the week, after he was done with football, he had to drive an hour south, from Foxborough, to Newport, R.I., to  work at the Naval Preparatory Academy. I feel that I could make a similar arrangement work in my favor.

    Reynolds Wrap

    Career

    • Owns a 21-11 (.656) record as Navy's starting quarterback (10-2 at home, 11-9 in road and neutral site games), posting a 6-2 record as a freshman (`12), a 9-4 mark as a sophomore (`13) and a 6-5 (.545) record this season.

    • Reynolds is 5-1 (.833) in Service Academy games (one of his four service academy wins was off the bench in a relief role and is not figured into his record as a starter).

    • Reynolds owns wins over Central Michigan, Indiana (2x), East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Texas State, Delaware, Army (3x), Air Force, Pitt, Hawai'i, South Alabama (2x), San Jose State (2x), Middle Tennessee, Temple and Georgia Southern.

    • His losses have come at the hands of Troy, Arizona State, Western Kentucky (2x), Duke, Toledo, Notre Dame (2X), Ohio State, Rutgers and Air Force.

    • He is just the fourth player in NCAA history to rush for 30 or more touchdowns in a season (did it in 2013) and just the seventh player in NCAA history to score 30 or more touchdowns in a season.

    • His 64 career touchdowns are the most in school history and the most by a quarterback in NCAA history.

    • The 64 career rushing touchdowns are tied for the fourth most in NCAA history among all players. He is eight behind Ricky Williams of Texas for third, nine behind Travis Prentice of Miami of Ohio for second and 13 behind Wisconsin's Montee Ball for first.

    • He has scored three or more touchdowns an NCAA-record 12 times in his career (did it twice as a freshman, seven times as a sophomore and three times as a junior).

  9. OVERVIEW

Stanley had a chance to leave for the National Football League after his third year in South Bend, but decided to return after watching Ohio State win the national championship in January of 2015. He wanted to be part of a national championship contender. Although that didn’t quite happen (Notre Dame lost games to conference champions Clemson and Stanford, each by two points before losing to Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl), Stanley didn't hurt his draft stock with a 2015 second-team All-American season at left tackle. NFL scouts had hoped he would come out the year before, as he looked like a future pro while starting all 13 games at left tackle as the Irish's Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2014. Stanley started every game at the right tackle as a redshirt freshman (he played two early season games as a reserve in 2012), showing great promise. A durable, intelligent player with experience at both tackle spots, Stanley will be a coveted prospect.

    ANALYSIS

    STRENGTHS

Races out of the starting blocks and into pass sets as well as anyone in the country. Has long arms and knows how to use them. Plays with quick hands and a well-timed punch. Never panics when he loses hand placement, simply resets them. Specializes in quick sets getting his hands into the pass rusher first helping him to control the flow of the snap. Well-coached with great hand placement. Wins with activity over power. Is not often beaten around the edge by speed. Hard worker who plays through the whistle. Flexible and athletic with plus change of direction ability against counter moves. Has quickness off the snap to get to challenging backside blocks on linebackers. Able to pull into space and hit moving targets to spring the big run. Fell off of too many blocks in 2014, but did much better job of bringing his feet under him this year to help him sustain his blocks. In run game, able to gain late victories when it looks like stalemate is coming. Durable and dependable.

    WEAKNESSES

In need of more functional, core power. Has to hang on for a ride when engaging against a physical defender who plays with leverage. Will need to win with feet and technique. Doesn't have upper body strength to maul when his rep gets off track. Has athleticism to recover when he's beaten, but is just average at redirecting his man off-course once defender gets the advantage. Is more quick that explosive. Gives ground to bull rushers when his feet aren't set at punch. Balance is average.

    BOTTOM LINE

Three-year starter with the outstanding foot quickness and pass protection talent expected from an early round left tackle prospect. Stanley showed great maturity in acknowledging his weaknesses and returning to school to work on them and improve his game. While Stanley's core power is still a concern, he showed improved strength and run blocking prowess this year and should be ready to come in and start right away for a team looking to protect a high-end quarterback.

Didn't feel like starting a new topic but was curious why it's only news articles posted to the forums and not the video updates. It would give us fans additional news to discuss

They are working on it, I think they want everything else fixed before rolling something new out.
