Tomorrow nite 2359 ( Friday May 5th)
I will go back to Scout, that's where I began my message board posting and for those that like politics and current events that is the second most active forum there. In one form or another it's been around since the late 90's and new fans are always welcome.

Arnie I'm making an educated guess. I do know it is not cheap for a company like Invision to run and host a site like this and updates many times are done for security reasons and to keep software current and not state of the ancient. The NFL did bring all teams on the same platform when the updates happened last year.
I hate updates too, I am the last person to update my iOS -- I just did my iPhone last nite because it was getting testy about updates that should have been done two months ago. Everything is the dollars and cents

I'm the messenger but from what I was told useage = posting, not the one one hit on say on game day you wish to leave a comment on the game and how awesome the long snapper is and don't come back, or you register and never post. I did see one the graphs, when I sign on to the admin side to retrieve a password and I am pretty sure that's what they are using. We had 25 new people the other day and 20 were spammers out of India and don't count and only one posted.
There is a significant decline and add a boatload of negativity along with the posters that left after update last year and the team not performing as well we wanted IN my opinion is what led to this mess. I think it sucks too, I have logged a crap load of time here to help maintain this community we all love.

weve already got some 130 or more registered posters... if we build it they will come.
And keep in mind, i fully intend for that to be just a temporary home. It ended up being a much bigger project than i initially thought, but im in the works of creating a fully contained, privately hosted, scaleable, professionally designed, and highly customizable new home for us. Complete with community forum, and eventually a front end for user contributed articles, news, media content, etc...
My goal is to have that up and running by the beginning of the regular season.
I should have told you that lol I have had my own forum for years My IT nerds- husband and 3 sons--'designed it for me to learn the back end and I love the arcade module we have. I was made the Admin on Scout and mod here in a six week span lol seems like this core of guys has you set. I wanted to add I have not given up on this place emailing my contacts several times, the last one today. As soon as I get an answer I will unhide the thread with links to Scout, yours has two lol and the group that came in over the weekend. You may attract people that are not from here so have your mods in place and rules written just a word to the wise.

People that know him and have seen your pic on the forums can not believe the resemblance, they say we all have a doppelgänger some where.

Sure you are but I would have remembered if you were there after my first son was born and at tailgate the last 15 yrs 😂 He and my brother went to Mt St Joe together and in the same fraternity in college and they live two blocks apart in 'Nap town,
Any I'm missing feel free to add your boards URL -- keep the hijacking to the other thread. ![]()

" Ummmm. Yep. I am here"
"YOU are HERE !?!? "
" Yup. Still here. Not going anywhere till I get my oil. "
"Oh wait... you're not.... you're not Bruce Willis? "
"Yeah Bruce Willis buys his own motor oil at a Pep-Boys in Glen Burnie. "

You look so much like a friend of mine its uncanny

I think you nailed it, at this point except for the established forums, RSR, Scout or Beatdown it going to be met with some skepticism and it take a lot of work and time. This place took close to two years and it had the NFL stamp of approval. The only reason other forums are allowed to advertise is because this place is closing. From what I understand BoldnPurPnBlack has been allowing people it register and be part of the growing pains. Not a knock on you just advice of someone that been wasting way too much time on forums that we have been told are on the way out.

I think we moved it together! Traitor may have more sense and I've followed the Soul when nothing else is on TV lol
Huge difference, Flacco is from that area and Williams from Ohio-- apples to oranges. SMH
The almost worse then Steeler trolls were the know it all Bronco fans, and the kicker was both teams had a bye and it was awful because of all the deceased equine flogging and all the spare time people had for two weeks.
Texan's fans could be pretty odious also but started out nice.
I have learned to respect the Steelers as a team but not so much the fans.
I want to dispel some things about the mods -- we are not paid employees all volunteers that love this team and wanted to have the best board. We don't make the rules but we are charged
We don't power trip, we don't like to warn people, we feel the pain that most of the the posters
I will miss you guys, it been awesome!
Another announcement for everyone that missed the other 3 notices. When we get the official date and time, they will be a thread here with the options, until then there is a thread in Off Topic pinned for all to find-- Peace Out!
We got booted from J and moved to the lot by Barcs, I think it's 95 above us and I was looking around thinking somehow I've been here before, I was setting up our 'cold' tailgate we do for preseason and forgot about it. We get back from the game, it's dark and the bridge abutment we were parked next to looked really familiar but I let it go because I was exhausted because I had a fussy baby for 2 day and was TIRED! The next PS game I asked a friend that was all about the bands and clubs and verified that abutment was in the parking lot of Hammer Jacks and We used to park there. Oh the memories. Ever gave it a thought to why it was called J lot.
My spell check is losing it but Dziekuje! When I was getting married my husband joked you tell my family with 'Z' as a vowel and 'ski' at the end of surname's.

Oh I did not mean to appear as if I was complaining. I've been a mod and totally get that you need to make sure a new poster isn't here to sell Ravens gear made in Thai sweatshops. Just looking for a home. Interesting you would link another site, is there a relationship between the two?
Somehow I missed this, when the Ravens were looking to open these forums they tapped mods from the two big boards in the area Scout and 24/7, of the original 6 Or 8, Mod3 and me are the two 'original' mods and we came from Scout. 24/7 has morphed into RSR and Scout is still Scout but it got sold a couple times and it's still there, a version of Scout has been around since the last 90's. I wandered into Scout when in 2003 I think after a car accident and have duel citizenship so to speak. Most of my time has been spent here, I do have a life not that you can tell by my post count with my two SN here. When we moved here we kept our old SN's but posters were having a problem of some of the more colorful, prolific original mods so we went to the generic mod sign ons in August of 2008. My Drkraven account says 1200 or so, but I guess I lost posts with the big update last year or as post get archived.
The 15 post count is to deter the sweatshops, but we had another type of spam of the adult entertainment type that was quite prolific. I was at my parents in Deep Creek and my dad on his trusty dial up wanted to see what a message board was. This was before smart phones and the thread he clicked on was some of the nastiest porn, before I could hit delete dad was quite engrossed and I wanted to fall through the floor.
I still keep hoping for a change of heart .

I try every year, they are just hidden not deleted

.He may be (is)here you never know.....
3 hours ago, K-Dog said:Hey Mods'
Have you thought about the last day?
My thought is, all discussions in all sections in all threads, will pretty much be pointless. Basically pull a "game day" and lock everything and just have one doomsday thread for us all to hang out, have fun, and say our good-bye's before the end of the world as we know it ( or at least our little world here on the boards ).
Do we have an estimated time on May 5th that the plug is going to be pulled ?
No but I shall ask and I do know that want to 'keep it classy' which is why we have been moving stuff to OT here.
Guys I moved your posts here so the original thread doesn't hijacked per higher ups request.

Either they arent checking it or they dont care, as Im pretty sure my word choice and phrase would be instaban.
You are correct about contact us.
Guys we are trying to keep it classy here so your posts you don't see will be in Off Topic, Thanks.

My wife has often made comments about me being on "the Ravens blog." It drives her crazy when I bring the laptop to the dining table during games and post comments while I eat and watch the games. lol
My husband is a Saint during football season, Mod 3 will vouch for it. We have a hard fast rule, my family's tolerant from August to February BUT after the Superbowl my potty mouth goes away along with the kids and my husband coming down to leave for work and I'm at the computer. Usually the kids would get check for lunch and I made sure everything was signed in the back packs, then I'd go upstairs and crash until 1300, shower and pick the kids up from school. Prior to 2003 when I still worked part time it was UGLY, really ugly.
We have a huge spread because I used to have a house full of friends and neighbors but that's down to a small amt of people, but still make a lot of food and my 'kids' are four boys from 30 to 6, so it ALL goes. I tend to throw stuff, so I was not allowed to be on line except half time until I got a tablet lol
My 21 yo was six weeks old when the team arrived, so he is quite the fan, when he was little, 7 or 8 my brother sat him with them and he smacked talked Eagle fans up until they left, they thought he was funny, I'm not sure if y'all remember after Superbowl XXXV, there were Kiosks set up and people selling their wares, my husband would stop after work because he was a huge collector of everything Ravens, especially pins and tee-shirts I still have some I've never worn. It was getting to be March and this one guy wanted to pack up and go home. He had 20 plus shirts and sold them to my husband for a buck a piece, my son lived in Ravens shirts for 3 or four years And I had the school call and wanted to know if we washed his shirt every night. I was so embarassed, but this came under the heading of pick your battles lol He still wears team stuff and has been known to 'borrow' my stuff until he out grew it lol
More UFO sightings around the ISS I love the U.K. Papers! The article discusses cylinders and cloaked ships so I guess they are Romulens and not the Cylons.
QuoteConspiracy theorist Scott C Waring, who runs UFO Sightings Daily, shared the footage, writing: “I noticed a UFO in the distance that was coming closer and closer to the space station.
“The UFO was partially cloaked, which made it look transparent.
“In the deep blackness of spaces, blending into the environment means you will be safer from other alien species that may not be friendly.”

I've been waiting for this to happen, everyone thinks their forum is the best of course. It's the people that make the board and keeping the spammers at bay. Lol
