  1. Baltimore is the number one market in the US without pro hockey. One of the reasons the Bandits moved was the Blast got almost all the weekend dates and they couldn't make money on a mostly weekdays home games.

The WHA Blades has no chance of succeeding since they were owned by the league and were just a place-

holder team for the old Michigan Stags. The Caps stunk back them too and the Mid Atlantic region couldonly support one bad hockey team, at least they had an owner, Abe Pollin.

  2. I never understood why they cant run more on gameday. Its like they just keep the same schedule. Unfortunatly I dont think the Ravens or Os have anything to say about it. Thats MTA and if they havent changed by now I'm not sure they ever will. Baltimore Police have stepped up to deal with traffic but the MTA just seems hardheaded. Prob Steeler and Yankee fans running em,lol

On Sundays the first train should be at 7 or 8 am, even where there's no football game, the early

Church service crowd could help ridership. I gave up and parked in a garage on Lombard Street for the games at $15 and walk 3/4 of a mile to my tailgate.

  3. Baltimore needs an subway system like the D.C Metro

I live down there, and you don't need a distanced based fare structure where it can cost 7 dollars eachway during rush hour each line seems to break down daily not to mention $5 to park, unless you can get a second mortgage. There's trackwork every weekends with delays. Baltimore at least has a dedicated

funding and only $1.70 each way and $4 for an day pass. The circulators in Charm City are free. And I can even use my SmartTrip Card to pay.

  4. Apparently more information is coming out about the Rams bid for the relocation to LA and it seems like it favors the NFL a lot. They just don't envision 10 home games a year, but also the Pro Bowl, creating new office and studio space the NFL can use for NFL Network. They are also creating a venue that could host the NFL Draft. They even want the combine, and with 70,000+ fixed seats and standing room creating 30,000 plus more attendance, this would be pretty huge.

As I heard a month or two ago it would be a NFL version of Disneyland, along with an West Coast Annexfor the Hall of Fame as well as being a host for the 2020 Super Bowl.

  5. Some Browns fans are petitioning the NFL to have them move their team to Los Angeles, which the Rams,  Raiders, and Chargers already have done.

I have a suggestion for them, it might hurt in the beginning but it may end the curse.  Put Art Modell in the Hall of Fame.

  6. They have installed a new video board at Royal Farms and upgraded the locker

rooms, although this is what I call putting band aids and lipstick on a 54 year old pig. They are resting on their laurels as being on of the top grossing

concert venues. Meanwhile Baltimore is still the largest city in America

without a pro hockey team, unless they spend some more renovation money on

fixing the ice surface, the only winter team will be the Baltimore Blast.

I remember when the USFL lawsuit verdict came in, the local radio announcer said "The handwritings on the wall" only way the NFL comes here is to build a new

stadium well the same goes for other sports. They would have been better off building a new arena now while the cost are cheaper rather than put more money

into an aging facility. If the NHL expands, so will the developmental system

and the parade will pass this city by.

  7. I like Ravens change their Helmet Logo

    Baltimore+Ravens+Concept+Helmet+3.JPG

    Look like the Eagles

The Redskins forced Baltimore to put a B on the helmet, so they would take over the region. If I was

the Ravens I would have said "we'll put a B on our helmets, when you put a W on yours".

  8. If it weren't for the Stallions success, I doubt we'd have the Baltimore Ravens or any other NFL team here.  Baltimore led the CFL in attendance the first year although the Orioles were part of the lockout which was part of the reason and was in second when the Browns announced their move to Baltimore, then most of the town kicked them to the curb.  Below is the link:

  9. Five Below also has some Ravens stuff.  Its a like a dollar store only most of the stuff is $5 or less thus the name and the quality is better.  Go to Fivebelow.com to find the location near you.  Got a Ravens Carroll County Times Super Bowl Coffee table book for $4.

Modells, the Sports Authority and Dicks will carry officially licensed Ravens gear.  If you want the corny novelty stuff you'll have to go to up to Baltimore.
