At least my Dad in Rockville won't complaint about tax money going to a stadium in Baltimore, he'll never go to. I've educated him, it was lottery money, if you don't play the games, you don't fund it. Next time I'll ask him in writing how his tax money funded it.

That's a tradition in Arena Football, if you catch it, you can keep it. This is not Baltimore's first time with the Arena game, they shared the Commados for one season with the Captial Centre as part of the deal when Abe Pollins Centre Management group ran the Baltimore Arena. They were known that season as the Maryland Commandos. Other perks were the Skipjacks became the Caps top affiliate and the Bullets returned for a few regular season games.
Had there been a year two, there might have been an expansion team in Washington, DC called the Warlords.

It was formed as a federal district that falls underneath the jurisdiction of Congress. And to state the obvious, every senator spends a large portion of their time living in Washington. The name Senators made perfect sense.
When the Expos moved there, MLB wanted to call them the Senators, again. But local politicians who weren't represented there, balked at the idea. Then Mayor Tony Williams suggested Grays in honor of the Negro League powerhouse that played most of games at old Griffith Stadium in DC. In the end Nationals who interchangeably had that nickname with the original Washington team won out as a compromise

They moved those two games to WMAR.

MASN was formed by Peter Angelos as financial protection for losses from the Nationals, he's the only owner in MLB to have the TV rights to two teams. If it weren't for the deal, there would no baseball in DC. The Nats have tried to get out of the deal a couple of times, one time it got thrown out because they were using a legal firm that also represented a few other teams, "Conflict of Interest"., recently the commissioner said it has to settled outside of baseball..
The other rumor about the Raiders was that Ronnie Lott was going help finance a new stadium in Oakland. In San Diego, the taxpayers essentially told Spanos to drop dead!
They used to have small TVs above the urinals at the Verizon Center, but got rid of them because the lines weren't moving.

He listed to longtime Baltimore Pro Football writer John Steadman who said "Unless you call the team Colts, nobody will take them seriously:.
At a press conference today at the Royal Farms Arena the name of the team was annouced. They are now known as the Baltimore Brigade.

Actually, CSN ended it so they can focus on the Washington sports.
Yes, WBAL TV.
If they could put the Ravens Productions shows on WBAL or of their digital subchannels, as well as carry them on demand on Baltimoreravens.com or their app on demand for those of us out of the area, that should be enough coverage. Not to mention the pre season games broadcast on WJLA or another DC area station.

Set appears to have production value on par with cable access channel and routinely airs, "classic " Orioles and Nationals games.
For example, a come from behind win against Tampa Bay in April.
And third rate college games from the American Sports Network.

I would have rather had an expansion team in Baltimore than have Modell's hurting another city of their franchise, but sometimes you have play with the cards they dealt you.
There was an announcement today that the Ravens ended their regional sport network partnership with CSN Mid Atlantic. Perhaps they might go back to MASN, or maybe to Monumental Sports Net, although that's unlikely since is an additional charge digital network that is not directly on cable or satellite. I'm happy because it was 90 per cent Redskins propaganda from Daniel Snyder.

If I was the Mayor of Oakland, I'd tell them, "Don't play two Lame Duck seasons here go play at Sam Boyd's Stadium while your playpen's being built"..
He played a part along with band leader John Zieman in transitioning the Baltimore Colts Marching Band into Baltimore's Marching Ravens. I got to touch the Super Bowl 35 trophy at a Ravens Nest Bull Roast that he brought, he later put the trophy in case with the fingerprints intact. Not to mention what his father did investing in the community by establishing the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric.
The fans own the Packers, its like a big mutual fund. And its been Grandfathered since the 50s.

In the last two years the Chargers games were on radio in LA, they got a whopping 0.0 in the ratings.

If you play in Angels Stadium or the Honda Center, you have to put the "Anaheim" in your name, such as the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim". Similar to how it used to be in the Meadowlands except for the Giants and Jets, you have to have "New Jersey" as well.
Thanks for letting all the Ravens Roosts and Nests have their picture taken with the Lombardi after Super Bowl 35, and thanks for speaking at Ravens Nest 9 Bowie's Meeting on the way to DC.
Same here, he took the time to speak at our Ravens Nest Function in Bowie on the way to an engagement in Washington, DC. If you see the 30 for 30 "The Band that Wouldn't die" he agreed with the Baltimore Colts Marching Band Leader John Zieman, on a Public Affiiars show hosts by Kwasi Mufumi to become Batlimore's Marching Ravens I last saw him when there was a public viewing of Art Modell's Coffin on the 50 yard line of M&T Bank Stadium.
The first game for the Baltimore team to be named later and the Washington Valor will be at the Verizon Center on April 7. All the games for both teams will be broadcast on Monmumental Sports Net, a digital network that requires a subscription fee via Chromecast, Roku, Smart TVs and Smartphones.
Chargers would have been better off moving to San Antonio where they'd have the whole market to themselves. Next year they will play in the Stubhub Center until the stadium in in Inglewood is ready. At least they have a good chance of filling that little soccer stadium.
Fact: Ballpark scenes for Major League II were filmed in Baltimore stadiums. Camden Yards was the Indians home field and Memeorial Stadium was used for the visiting teams park, and was home to the last baseball team to play there, the O's AA Affiliate Bowie Baysox which played there until there stadium there was ready.
I like the directors version of Hoosiers with the actual game between Milan and South Bend Central. Also like MIghty Macs about the Immaculatta Women's Basketball team which was the first power house in the sport

And PSLs, which the Redskins will defintatly have in Snyder's new playpen. Although the Ravens hold back a few thousand for single game sale.
