  1. The ghost of moving the team will forever haunt Modell, I'm afraid to say Just like Len Bias's death will always keep Lefty Drissell out of the Naismith Hall of Fame.
  2. If Art shouldn't be in Canton, neither should Redskins owner George Preston Marshall who was the last NFL owner to integrate his team and was only forced by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy to play in then DC Stadium, now (RFK). Being like Marshall is a worse issue than just moving a team.
  3. 1999 Brian Billick's first season, when we went 8-8, I felt the next year was going to be great.
  4. I got an idea, perhaps leave a couple of ramps and steps for health fanatics on one side and escalators on other. While your at it, how about removing the ones on the club level. Double standard. I had a Judge who ran in Marathons on the east coast have a heart attack, so did Jim Fixx one of the experts on the subject had one too, and remember someone died of a coronary at Bank of America stadium, they put them in next season.
  5. When Irsay bought the Colts, he started shopping them around, LA, New York, Jacksonville, Phoenix and Indy. There was a rally at the Gator Bowl that drew 50,000 and he said "Its nick to be where you're wanted". There were billboards that said "Welcome Bob Irsay, Future Home of the Jacksonville Colts". In Baltimore they yelled anti Irsay stuff and the crowds dwindled. There were clues they were moving, after the 1983 season, they stopped taking orders for season tickets next year..
  6. Or maybe we should go to purple pants with the white jerseys? Or an all purple version next year?
  7. The Chargers have a lease until 2020, they can make another push towards a stadium around that time, if it doesn't work, they can move into Kroenke's new stadium in Inglewood which will be ready by then. They're still on the clock until 2021..
  8. I keep telling the Nats fans they have the same number of fans watching the as the Os, the other 30,000 at Nats Park are on their cellphones or IPads.
  9. We may be the worst first place team in the NFL, but its OUR first place team!
  10. Prices are dropping on the resale market, Ticket Exchange has better prices than Stubhub.
  11. Maybe if there's a road playoff game everyone could watch it outside the stadium. Similar to what the Penguins do.
  12. It looks like either the Seahawks or the Ravens will go to London, the reason the Ravens have to be the visiting team is a clause in the lease from their landlord, the Maryland Stadium Authority, that says "All Baltimore Ravens home games, must be played at M&T Bank Stadium" or something similar to that.
  13. The real reason Art Modell moved to Baltimore was to avoid bankruptcy on the his team. There was a lease on his team too with a year left over, which is why he left the name, colors and history back in Cleveland for the new team, so he could settle the relocation out of court and get out of it. The first year, he was so broke he couldn't afford a practice squad for the Ravens. There were rumors later that he sold PSLs at a bulk discount to brokers to raise funds, that why the NFL stepped in and had him either sell or get a partner which is where Steve Bisciotti comes in. Bisciotti had offers to buy the Vikings and the Florida Marlins, but chose the Ravens possibly because he lived in nearby Anne Arundel County. He made his wealth through Aerotek, and when he took over majority ownership, he kept Modell as a consultant until he passed away. Mike Preston of the Sun, said "Art was a mom and pop, type of owner" Steve is more corporate.
  14. Myth-Redskins fans are the best in the NFL and a have a 30 year waiting list for season tickets? Fact-I saw an ad for Redskins Season Tickets on TV before the Ravens game, with their minster of propaganda, Larry Micheal doing the voice over.
  15. TicketExchange is actually cheaper than Stubhub since the latter tacks on fees..
  16. Look up the Redskins history, they started as the Boston football Braves in 1932, when the moved to Fenway Park, they had to have a "Red" in their name so they became the Redskins which continued when they moved to DC in 1937. I used that nickname recuse Boston is in New England because their fans complained the played the Browns twice this year, so I countered with that.
  17. I"ve renamed it to "Future NFL team relocation" And here's the rebuttal to the Super Bowl Commercial" "Slam Stan" Since when is owning a NFL team supposed to be a charity? About the low beer prices, probably has to do with St. Louis being the home of Anheiser-Busch.
  18. Three things in life the last decade: 1. Death 2. Taxes 3. And if the Redskins aka "the other team from New England" make the playoffs, they'll be "one and done".
  19. If Harbaugh goes, he'll get another head coaching job somewhere else, perhaps Cleveland where he can't to get revenge on us.
  20. If Harbaugh is let go, expect someone like the Browns to pick him and when he faces the Ravens, he'll want beat the stuffing out of us.
  21. I had to deal with an Idiot on YouTube who said "enjoy the Ravens, they;ll move soon too, St, Louis needs a team". He also said even the Browns will move again. they have about 70 years on their lease there. Maybe I should have asked him if the Packers would move, the fans own the team in a mutual fund arrangement, with a managing partner. .I blocked him. If St. Louis really wanted the NFL back, they'd go after the Chargers.
  22. Yes, he called that stupid fake field goal which I knew would work from the last row of Section 509. He has a losing record since winning the Super Bowl.
  23. Look at the bright side when we lose to the Redskins in the regular season we will the Super Bowl. Fortunately the Ravens are more likely to be headed to the Tidy Bowl, this season.
  24. If he's fired some other team will hire him. Lets say Jon Gruden messes later in the season. Dan Snyder will swoop him right up and I'll hear the Redskin fans at work whoop it and rub it my face. Unlike Brian Billck who was blackballed because he acted smarter than the owner and never got a coaching job again.
  25. Maryland should have hired John as head coach, just think having a Harbowl against Michigan every year would a hot ticket in either College Park or Ann Arbor.
