PSA: today's game is on MASN at 1:00
So, what about Satele? Does he have anything to offer?
This "thread per player" is out of control and we've been receiving a lot of complaints. As Free Agency heats up, let's try to keep it here.
Thanks.

(Semi)random thought: this year teams can start contacting agents 3 days before Free Agency starts. During those 3 days agents/players should get a good sense of who wants them and for how much. Monroe and his agent may just be waiting for that to set a number.
MODS, maybe a stupid suggestion, but why not make one of those patented cut/complain off season threads. With no actual football to watch the wolves are hungry to tear into someone. Can't blame Joe, unless you have video of him over throwing targets in Madden.
No need to encourage the negativity. There seems to be plenty.
It's more than that, you also have to think of state income tax.  Florida has no state income tax.  So 45 Florida  compared to 35 in MD is more like 45 to 28
I doubt it's that big of a deal since state taxes are a write-off on federal.
I hope Ozzie has a Plan B because I suspect Monroe is moving back to Florida.
Not a bad outing considering Boston was playing their stars and we fielded our "who's".
Looks like those late inning rallies are going be be our thing again this year. Makes it exciting, but then the games run late and it's hard to sleep afterwards.
Today's game vs. Red Sox on MLB at 1:00. Last year MLB seemed like a jinx. Hope that doesn't continue.
Did anyone else catch the Game of Stones premier? I'm not sure how I feel about this yet, but I'll watch the next episode anyway.
Ugh, my brother just texted asking if Escalona is Spanish for batting practice?
Darn, that's the last time I say something nice until after the game.
Both pitchers started well. 3 up, 3 down in the 1st. Miggy looks strong.
Oh, and for those who don't know, today's game is on MASN. Our first chance to get a look at some of the new players.
Oh, I just read that their public relations executive Monica Barlow lost her fight with cancer at 36. May God bless her family during this difficult time.
Apparently she was loved by all who knew her. Buck was very close to her and broke down trying to talk about it. Yesterday's tweets were heart-breaking.
i understand the dislike of it as the player for the lack of security a long term contract offers. Lets say they play terrible all year to "avoid" injury who is going to pay them the following free agency for a poor season? pretty sure most players are known to perform better on their last year of a contract. Â tagging wont make Monroe play worse is all im saying.
Probably not, but it usually makes the player hold out of training camp. With a whole new offense going in this year, we need our players in camp.
I think he's saying that players hate to play under the franchise tag (which is true) and he wants to avoid another McKinnie who isn't motivated to play
Exactly, not to mention Gaither.
Was nice to start off with a win today, even if it is otherwise a sad day for the Os.
I think I'd rather not tag Monroe. Haven't we had just about enough of the malcontented LT?
True, I just hope we find a good closer. It hurt losing all those games last year when Johnson came in.
His collapse single-handedly cost us a shot at the playoffs.
I just hope they're as much fun to watch as last year. Win or lose, they generally kept it interesting through the whole game.
A restructure converts salary to signing bonus so it can be prorated over the remaining years of the contract. It essentially makes subsequent years even worse regarding the cap. That's why it is referred to as "kicking the can down the road". An extension adds years to the contract and thus spreads the cap hit out over more years.
@masnRoch: Machado, cleared to hit and do some running, taking BP today #Orioles

Or maybe that is just what Monroe WANTS to do. He's probably hoping for a bidding war.
