not to be a downer coz i love brandon and im glad he's back but that contract is stupidly insane - nearly 11mill for a run stuffing nose tackle with more than half guaranteed...

Based on the reports we saw all day of a bidding war, I guess that's his market value.

  2. Attention everyone: while we are allowing links to other forums as you search to continue our community, please understand that we are NOT endorsing other sites, especially new ones running on "free" platforms.  Please be aware that new forums may not have the security in place that you have been able to enjoy here.  They also tend to suffer from growing pains.

Personally, I would try the older, more established, forums, of which there are several.  Otherwise, do whatever you can to protect yourself, perhaps register with a disposable email address and a unique password.

If you have experience with other established forums, please post a link (and perhaps a description) in this thread.

    Thank you.

  3. Before everyone rushes off to join new sites, I'd like to offer a PSA.  Be very careful of protecting your personal information.  Not all sites are as secure as this one.  Some are very easy for others to use to "track you down" and harass/stalk you. That's one of the reasons I recommended Scout.  It's been around for many years without any nasty incidents.

This is literally the only moderately trafficked place online I've seen any civil discussions about the Ravens, you can't exactly have those on FB and Twitter when half the people are yelling at us to get Derrick Mason out of retirement.

Once upon a time  Scout was the premier forums for Ravens fans.  This site basically killed that one, but it is still there and a little bit active.  There are still some dedicated posters.  May I suggest a mass migration back?  Here's the link to the "Ravens Talk" forum.  Many other forums ( off-topic, fantasy, etc.) are also available.

Scout also has moderators and civil discussions.  The moderators over there are ready to welcome new/returning posters.

  5. It's not a joke. :-(

Scout has a Fantasy Forum that is basically unused and the moderators there have said you're welcome to take it over.  We've been scrambling to make sure nobody gets hosed by this shutdown.  I don't think there is any way to migrate the threads over there, but you could each copy your own current state of the franchise and just keep rolling.

Lets keep Ryan Mallett. He's not ever going to be a Tom Brady, but he's the same as "old 3 and out Flacco" and he's cheap.

You really need to quit spewing the same lies.

The Ravens had a very good rate at avoiding 3-and-outs. Of their 192 drives, only 35 ended in a 3-and-out, which is an 18.23% rate and good for 6th best in the league (LINK). That's in front of teams like the Packers, Cowboys, Steelers, and even the Patriots who were bottom 6.

Also, the Ravens had a positive TOP on the year and were above-average (12th overall) for the league (LINK).
