      It was pretty far from me, haven't felt it at all. @Inquiis much closer and says there was a good roll where he is but no damage. Just reading the news, it apparently triggered 2m surge, as well.

      Yeah, I moved around a good bit but no damage to report and I'm by the coast that didn't face the tsunami. Wellington (two hours south) is facing a pretty big clean-up in the CBD but nothing too dire that I know of. There's been some pretty big damage to some coastal towns even further south but thankfully there isn't much of a death toll like there was a few years ago.
