(Semi)random thought: this year teams can start contacting agents 3 days before Free Agency starts. During those 3 days agents/players should get a good sense of who wants them and for how much. Monroe and his agent may just be waiting for that to set a number.

No need to encourage the negativity. There seems to be plenty.

I doubt it's that big of a deal since state taxes are a write-off on federal.

Not a bad outing considering Boston was playing their stars and we fielded our "who's". Looks like those late inning rallies are going be be our thing again this year. Makes it exciting, but then the games run late and it's hard to sleep afterwards.

Today's game vs. Red Sox on MLB at 1:00. Last year MLB seemed like a jinx. Hope that doesn't continue.

A restructure converts salary to signing bonus so it can be prorated over the remaining years of the contract. It essentially makes subsequent years even worse regarding the cap. That's why it is referred to as "kicking the can down the road". An extension adds years to the contract and thus spreads the cap hit out over more years.
