  1. I'm thinking about starting a "Flacco" thread.
  2. Can we mods move in?
  3. Wonder what his wife has to say about THAT?
  4. They won't do anything until the legal system plays out.
  5. LOL! I'm seeing a few of your posts have one neg each. I'd guess someone (who probably hasn't even posted) wanted to use up his daily quota and you're "it" for today.
  6. Smoking weed and PEDs are premeditated so fear of punishment works. Smacking someone in a fit of anger is totally different. Fear of punishment MIGHT help them seek help before it gets to that point, though. I'm glad that help and preventative measures are being put in place. Let's prevent abuse.
  7. Finally found the text of the letter he sent and see it contains this: There is also language in there saying that mitigating factors will be taken into account. Sorry, I can't link it because I found it on a paid site. I do feel better about this now.
  8. This feels like a total over-reaction to the outrage expressed. Each situation is different. I think a 2-6 game suspension for first offense and a full season for a second offense is more reasonable. Punishment after the fact isn't going to stop domestic violence. Anger management training before it happens would mean more. I'd rather see a yearly anger management course for all NFL personnel.
  9. They just don't "get" the difference between a first offense by a previously highly-respected person and repeated offenses by a scumbag. It doesn't mean Ray's behavior is acceptable, it just means it was his first violation of pretty much any NFL rule. Gordon earned his suspension by totally disregarding the rules, after plenty of warning.
  10. He earned it. Repeated violations are not smiled upon.
  11. That's just sad.
  12. Sounds pretty ugly: State of emergency declared after Calif. quake http://usat.ly/1txXoYm
  13. I think the "stones" are only over the stupidity of doing it on a team travel day. Couldn't they at least wait until after the game?
  14. They should be suspended just for stupid. Seriously, they both claimed ownership, as did the other passenger??? Any rational person would immediately deny knowing anything about it.
  15. At least ours were in the off-season, not the day before a game.
  16. Probably won't be resolved that fast. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/20/steelers-leveon-bell-and-legarrette-blount-both-arrested/
  17. This also sounds like another good excuse to buy a "smart" TV...stream to the big screen.
  18. If your apartment/dorm//HOA doesn't allow it, then you're eligible. They're just making this available for people who can't have DirecTV. Sounds fair to me. Otherwise they would just be competing with themselves, which would be stupid.
  19. I originally got DirecTV for NFL Sunday Ticket (I also have FIOS TV). Now I wouldn't give it up unless I had too. I love DirecTV and only rarely watch FIOS. I had no problem streaming to my iPad last year. $199 to legally stream all games all season is actually pretty reasonable. It's what people with DirecTV pay for Sunday Ticket.
  20. Please note that nothing disrespectful is meant, but this cracked me up: God @TheTweetOfGod You're welcome, Cleveland. 12:34 PM - 11 Jul 2014 4,247 RETWEETS 2,366 FAVORITES
  21. Gaining weight is easy. Stop working out and eat a lot of fried food. Works for pretty much everyone who tries it.
  22. You all might be convincing me. Still, Webb's contract dollars say he should be on the field pretty much every snap.
