    I am very happy with my DLine with my latest pick.

    Cedric Thornton and Sealver Siliga give me two guys who are phenomenal at stuffing the run, guys that will free up my ILBs (Shazier, Hodges) to run wherever the play goes. The third guy on the Line is my second pick Sheldon Richardson who can do everything you want.

    And on the outside I have Justin Houston, who seems unblockable most of the time and Mingo who developed rather nicely over the last couple of season

     

    My weakest link in the front 7 may be ILB but Shazier has a whole lot of talent and Hodges played really good when he got the chance to start for the Vikings

     

    Overall I am really happy with my defense, I think my front 7 can run with the best of them and will help my backfield immensely. Though my DBs are no no-names either with Sean Smith, Kam Chancellor, Bene Benwikere and Terrence Brooks. A good mixture of proven top notch veterans and hugely talented youngstars

    i was eye'ing laken tomlinson. also good picks on hyde and upshaw, i think upshaws a very underrated player and he doesnt get his due just because he doesnt get sacks... how come JJ never got that treatment here? he didnt get many sacks and he was still a fan favorite..

    I think it could be because Upshaw seems lazy sometimes, also when chasing the ball carrier. JJ never was like that, he went alll out all day during every play. And personally I think JJ was better in his prime than Upshaw may ever be

    My latest picks

     

     

    David Bakhtiari:

    Bakhtiari may not be the best Left Tackle in the league but he is a servicable one. He showed huge improvement from his rookie year to his sophomore year and will only get better with time. Bakhtiari is not a good run blocker, he struggles to open up holes for his RBs. What he lacks in run blocking he makes up for with his above average pass blocking, and I made a decision to select more of a pass blocker than a mauler as my LT because my non existent, who will not be the best, needs protection to work with his weapons.

    Also, I like Bakhtiari more than some LTs who were selected before him and I am very pleased with him at this stage of the draft.

    His selection completes my Offensive Line which now is: Bakhtiari-Schwartz-Linsley-Warford-Vollmer. I am very happy with the OLine I build and I think they will give me good protection as well as very good lanes to run through.

     

     

    Barkevious Mingo:

    Mingo is an intruiging prospect. I thought about taking him last time I picked and actually was suprised to see him last 60 more picks for my current selection.

    Mingo is hugely gifted athletically, which leads most to believe that he is a great pass rusher, but in fact it was his work against the run that stood out to me when watching his games. Though I like to think his huge athletic ability will transform him in an above average pass rusher in the NFL which is why I wanted him to drop back to me again.

    As with Bakhtiari, Mingo showed a lot of development during this season, in which he has played much better than his previous one, especially talking about run defense and pass rush. His pass coverage skills still leave a lot to be desired, but I can overlook that for an OLB who is a good pass rusher and an even better run defender

    And Mingo has Justin Houston to learn from which can never be a bad thing. I guess Houston could show him some moves regarding how to rush the passer

    Mingo's selection now gives me Houston-Richardson-  -Thornton-Mingo as my current starters in my 34 with the NT still missing. Behind them are Shazier and Hodges who can likely just run around without any blockers facing them, especially with Richardson and Thornton on one line harrasing blockers

    Explanation of my latest picks

     

    Gerald Hodges:

    Hodges was not a Day 1 Starter for the Vikings, but earned more playing time as the season wore on. Hodges got hurt mid-season and missed a couple of games. When he was back on the field, Hodges immediately filled in as a starter as Anthony Barr went down with an injury and impressed. He works very well against the run and is also good in pass coverage. His pass rush leaves a lot to be desired, but that is not his main job. At least in my defense.

    And when I watched some of his tape. In the first game I watched he had a pick 6 on the very first play from scrimmage, so I had to take him

     

     

    Doug Baldwin:

    I actually was a bit of suprised when I noticed that Baldwin was still there. I actually thought he was long gone.

    With the selection I decided to give Amari Cooper someone under whom he can learn. I think the most important part in developing young recievers is to give them a veteran presence on the team and to me Baldwin is just that. He may not be the oldest yet, but he already is a proven reciever in this league who knows some of the ins and outs

    Also, in my mind Baldwin posted very good numbers over the last couple of years, especially considering that he has been in a run heavy in Seattle.

    We all saw what Golden Tate could do after going to a more pass oriented offense and I can see the same from Baldwin. Not saying that I will have a pass heavy offense, but I think it is quite good to post such numbers as a WR in Seattle
