  1. I'll face the fact that all people are not the same and will respond in ways that suit their make-up. It doesn't make them any less or more noble, just different.
  2. That could happen but the risk wouldn't be very smart from a coaching perspective. Of course, this is just my opinion.
  3. If the Steelers get way up in the score I think they will pull Ben; why would they risk injury to run up a score?
  4. I think the gamble was based on couple of facts: 1. From that spot on the field and point in the game the Chiefs were likely focused on setting up a strong return rather than attempting a block, thus less rushers. 2. Needing 9 yards for a first down he was hoping to catch them off guard. Conclusion: 1. The kicker would have made the first down but he cut back inside toward two defenders rather than outside where there was a block on one defender. 2. Gutsy call that I would not have made from that spot on the field. 3. The gamble shows his level of confidence in the defense.
  5. Very valid! It's a fact that all athletes cannot do the same exercises. Certain exercises will hurt some athletes.
  6. Gillmore and Marlon could go on IR after this game to create space to bring up practice squad players for the final two games.
  7. Lol, I understand, I was just picking. Good answer!
  8. You should work on that, it sounds like envy.
  9. Depth has been a problem for a few years and probably/maybe has something to do with the draft position in recent years. Injuries. There probably aren't any teams that can overcome the level of injuries to starters sustained by the Ravens this year and still have a winning season.
  10. Didn't the new mega-injuries list also coincide with the new cafeteria food list for healthier eating? If I am not mistaken, the change took place during the off season prior to the first year of a lot of injuries (two years ago). Check everything, workouts included.
  11. WR, Chris Matthews is listed back on the practice squad. I guess he's out for this game.
  12. Each time the team appeared on the verge of turning the season around, another key position went down. It reminds me of a computerized game, set on extreme difficulty.
  13. Ozzie has little to do with TOP Raven players added on IR. 18 players, Pitta makes 19. Also, the coaches have a say in who gets to sit or start. There seems to be enough blame to go around but dead money from ex-players like Ray Rice and others prohibits personnel. Experiencing their first losing season since 2007 should account for something. Everyone knows that a losing season will eventually happen sooner or later to teams. The Ravens, Saints, 49ers, Falcons, Chargers, Cowboys, Lions, (top teams recently) numbers have been called.
  14. They kept it close until the turnover near the end of the first half. However, having no run game and a newly acquired QB against one of the best defenses just couldn't hold for long. Good: Aiken and Brown Bad: Run game Ugly: Score
  15. Welcome back Renner. Many including myself thought you showed very well in preseason. Now is the real thing, it would be nice to see you do well, Congrats!
  16. Given that Monroe's position doesn't take hits like QBs, RBs, TEs, or WRS, can you explain the logic of your statement?
  17. The interceptions in this game had nothing to do with WRs and don't ignore that injuries depleted the team this year. The RT is coming off a foot injury and the LT can't stay healthy. Yes, better receivers would help but to point at the front office is misguided. Look at the player and coaching turnover in just the past three years. I believe injuries combined with player and coaching turnover has more to do with the season record than the lack of top WR. The OL is just injured like much of the top talent, Suggs, Smith, Forsett, Zuttah etc.
  18. Which ever position Ozzie believe he finds that impact player, that's who he will likely pick regardless of current need, which can change in a heartbeat anyway. As for the Miami game lets hope Schaub is willing to throw it away or take a sack rather than throw an interception.
  19. Unless a wr is the best athlete on the board I wouldn't expect one to be the first pick. LT (Monroe is questionable) and pass rusher appear to out weigh the wr need at the moment, though that could change.
  20. It matters but not as much as winning.
  21. I really do understand your position, I used to feel the same but after thinking real hard on it I've come to the conclusion that protecting the qb has to be first on the list if you are paying him 20 million or more per year. Other than that, definitely a pass rusher
  22. Given that I have no expectations, this could end up being a fun game to watch. I have a group of questions. First, will Matt Schaub be the starting QB until the season ends? If not, how many games does he get? Next questions are about the LT and Center positions, and play calling in this new offense. I can't wait to see this game! The need for a top quality (and healthy) LT may have vaulted itself to the top of the list of needs ahead of wr and pass rusher. These next few games will tell us a lot.
  23. The players will get to relax at a reasonable hour, they are not disappointed by the switch.
  24. Understandable! The Ravens have no featured players (Suggs, SSS, Flacco, Forsett). Who could the networks advertise, Yanda, Tucker? Maybe in two weeks someone new could emerge but the NFL has to make these decisions weeks in advance.
  25. No doubt that the FO has been doing that, as always. However, next year is not their only concern, this season is still in play too.
