  1. He will take some cut because he is currently under a CB contract. However, you cannot get into comparing the contracts of other team's players, lots are overpaid and lots are underpaid. Take Joe's contract for example just 15% of his contract for next season would greatly help the team.
  2. I would flip Guy and Juice, then flip Webb and Juice. Not because Juice isn't worthy but because the back end is so important and having Weddle play with someone he has experience with and trust. The Back end burned the team in 2014 and maybe cost another Superbowl appearance. Besides, Big Ben will have a field day on any inexperience there.
  3. I wouldn't keep either. Yes, Wagner would not get paid top dollar for RT. But considering the fact that all his years so far have been very up and down, there is no reason to believe he'll be a consistently dominant going forward. But he'd probably be paid that way. Webb can stay IMO if he takes at least 60% pay cut down to 3mil. It'll probably still be too much for a FS playing the way he's playing, but at that rate it can at least be a discussion. Otherwise he should be the first guy out from the team. The back end was the team's weakness for the past few years and you would do what to maintain the strength of this year? Sorry, but that is one area that I'd want to maintain as I strengthen perhaps the Center of the OL and another quality CB.
  4. Juszczyk, the FB should not be the team's 4th leading receiver. He has more than Perriman, West, Dixon, and Aiken. Red-zone scoring may need a change in the routine, somewhat.
  5. The only problem with, "Off the leg of Tucker" means the team isn't scoring TDs.
  6. I will not compare Joe to other QBs because it accomplishes nothing. Rather, I will stick to questioning some of their routine choices and what I'd rather see from Joe and the offense. First, their routine choices! A quick look at stats shows that Dennis Pitta leads the team in receptions. Then, only SSS, Wallace and Pitta have more receptions than Juszczyk. A TE leading the team isn't as shocking as the FB being 4th in receptions. I believe these routine choices are hampering the offense, particularly in the red-zone where the team usually settle for mostly field goals.
  7. We as fans should maybe, not suggest another team's top resources before the Ravens can excel. True, it isn't all the QB fault but he shares the blame. I believe, WRs and QBs need adapt to each other; it's a two-way street. Joe appears to have a small window when adapting to receivers. Therefore mostly WRs with a wider than usual ability to adapt can do well. Example: Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin, Steve Smith Sr, all play/played near or at Hall of Fame ability level. It perhaps explains the requirement for a stronger than average run game and explains why the team loses more than they win whenever the run game falls below a particular level. Just my assessment of the QB/WR weakness issue. I am not suggesting a QB change but the team needs to acknowledge where they are, and adjust accordingly.
  8. I believe if the Bengals are out of it by the last game Green plays if able, if only for part of the game. The game could determine who, among coaches get fired.
  9. I am not agreeing with the attacks on Hester. He has been smart for the most part and without multiple fumbles. Have I missed a couple/few? Camp has a problem staying healthy, so, I am not sure cutting Hester in favor of Camp should happen. If Camp gets a chance Hester or another option needs to be there to back Camp up due to his injury history.
  10. No huddle is understandable, but when it fails to produce a 1st down it puts the defense in a bad spot.
  11. Considering time off, Doom shouldn't be expected to help any more than Za'Darius at least for a while.
  12. The Good: First Qt game plan. The Bad: Penalties. The Ugly: Lack of balance (running plays) in the 3rd and the 4th qt. Today's Good Players: Dixon, SSSr, West, Suggs, Yanda, Tucker. Today's Bad Players: cbs, 4th qt defensive line, Today's ugly player's: Pitta's missed block, Zutah's penalties, the offense inability to give the defense rest.
  13. A season can change in any direction, on a dime. A streak, injuries/injury, turnovers, etc. So, the actual season outlook hasn't changed one bit; just the perception (optimism) of some.
  14. I strongly agree! Also, the mistackle on 3rd down that eventually led to a Jets first down and soon-after TD was a pivital play that turned the game. As for turning the season around, I believe the OL is the key. It allows for a better offense while keeping the our defense off the field. At the same time it keeps the opposing offense on the bench. It's unfortunate to admit but losing Osemele show the obvious! The replacements haven't lived up! Is it the failure to coach them up? When coaches voice frustration, it's a sign they haven't found the answer to solve a problem. They are much calmer when they know the answer. Hopefully the team can regroup.
  15. I'm with you if he indeed mostly blames Jernigan. Jernigan simply attempted to help his team that needed help. Bad things happen to bad teams. Perhaps the defense shouldn't have been on the field at that point. The offense had the ball under 24 minutes vs over 36 minutes for the 2-5 Jets. That's ugly!
  16. It seems, every time I tune into the NFL network they are on commercial break. I don't watch much of it anymore.
  17. These over the top QB contracts hurt more than help the teams as a whole. The future will hopefully adjust these backward as more good quality QBs come out of the college ranks.
  18. The Good: The game is over and the Bye Week is next. The Bad: The offense has no ability to adapt and change. The Ugly: Maybe seeing the affect of an over weighted QB contract that causes the team to give up talented players year after year. There will always be a few exceptions like New England but I believe that overall the league is weaker because of large QB contracts. Some blame drafting but are forgetting (or accepting) the loss of quality players year after year due to these contracts. However, this is the new NFL. How should the Ravens deal with it? Injuries aside! 1. Stop hiring coaches with a track record of multiple failed experiences. 2. Make no exception to substitutions! Example: Our coaches are willing to sub in for any player having a bad, costly game except the QB, why? A temporary change will ofter light a needed spark (if only for one quarter). We actually saw that with the Jets QB yesterday. The above 2 are the two major problems needing adjusting, as I see it. The drafting of players is a problem only when the coaches fail to make use of their abilities. Note: Many of the newly drafted players experiencing success with other teams would not neccessarily have found equal success if they were with this team.
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy sits out this game. Imagine if he played again just a week later, then suffered another concussion. Be safe and give him more recovery time rather than gamble on losing him for a much longer period. Not worth playing him in my book.
  20. This could either be a very exciting game or an extremely boring one. The Jets is the only team with less TDs (9 VS 10) than the Ravens this season. I think it's time to include a few trick plays.
  21. I noticed weeks ago that many players missed practice day-after-day for a variety of reasons, With that, losses should be expected and now the injuries are mounting. Also, some key players had little to no summer camp or preseason. It must be nice to collect a game check of that magnitude without much practice.
  22. With a few QB exceptions, you must run the ball to win most games in this league. I can recall Kubiak sticking with run attempts even when things weren't going well early then breaking things open in the final quarters of games. Receivers are nice to have but will not be dominant with a damanged OL. It's time to get this going without further delay.
  23. This is interesting, comparing us to a winless team. After six games this season we've scored four points more than the Browns. Worst, they've scored three more TDs and without a starting QB. The team has only 2 net points on the season. Lastly, penalties, are growing. Some possible solutions! Continue improving the run game and increase the number of run plays toward better balance. Since, a strong pass rush by oppossing team is known to affect the offense greatly, work on down field run blocking, Increase use of screens and delayed run plays.
  24. Ugly: The pass rush, or lack of. Good: The team had a legit change to win in spite of injuries to so many key starters. Bad: Drive killing penalties; coach gambling and don't take three points; mounting injuries.
  25. Agree here! But, I must mention the OL protection that has been, and looks like, will continue to be a problem this season. I just don't see much room for imrovement with this leaky OL. The run game has to do really well and get the receivers and Joe time to operate.
