  1. These seasons are hard on the body. Unfortunately for the Ravens, early season offensive weakness may have overworked and worn down the defense. Both sides need to play their best games during the same game.
  2. If not for the 2 interceptions by the D, the game wouldn't have been close. The D is not fully to blame, the team played a determined opponent tonight.
  3. Suggs was seen on the sideline early having his arm attended to or examined. Probably still injured!
  4. Good: The game was actually a good one. Bad: The final score but outcome was expected. Especially when they scored too early with 1:27 left on the clock. Ugly: Ravens scoring 10 points off of two interceptions but still lose the game. ps: make that 11 points (not 10).
  5. I see it more like this: 1) We lose all three and miss playoffs, 40% or less. 2) We win 1 of three games and miss playoffs (team would finish 8-8), 10% or less. 3) We win 2 out of three but miss playoffs,(9-7), 0% 4)We win 2 out of three and make playoffs, (9-7), 0% 5) We win all three games , we are in, (10-6), 0%
  6. Agree or not, there is something to what Pollard said. I recall many fans, including myself questioning why so many vets were being sent packing. Of course, after such a good playoff run, many felt at that time that Joe would make players around great and the Defense simply needed to reload. Some of the coaches left too, which is often overlooked.
  7. John should not be on the hot seat. The team's weakened situation has much to do with the lack of finances caused by a few big contracts. That is not John's area to deal. Still, the team is good enough to win most games. But, if they don't win another game this season then there will likely be a questionable hot seat.
  8. As for fading and aging ability, the mind says one thing but the body does something different.
  9. Good post! Ed Reed even went through similar.
  10. Good: The team got within 3 before losing it permanently Bad: The game wasn't as close as the score Ugly: The one play touchdown
  11. won't be number 1 after tonight at this rate.
  12. Don't blame Pees for this; it's the offense.
  13. well they showed us what they really were.
  14. Last week was against the 25th ranked defense. This week is the 9th ranked defense. It clearly makes a difference.
  15. All the pre game hype, good for the game but far too many fell for it.
  16. This, I agree with! But have to add, the Ravens need to keep scoring TDs and not go back to just or mostly field goals.
  17. Yeah, I understand that a lot of the yardage belonged to Joe. But that was just one game of 12. Question remains can Joe duplicate or even come close beyond that one game. Lets hope so!
  18. What I hear and read in the media and on the board is a lot of hype (good for the game). Although either team can win, some fail to consider that last week's match with Miami was against the 25th ranked defense. New England at 9th, will be the highest ranking defense the Ravens face this season. The 18th ranked Dallas defense caused problems, as did the 15th ranked Jets, the 17th Giants, and the 21st ranked Bengals (though partly due to the inability of the offense to score or keep the opposing offense off the field for long). This Monday is truly a test for this offense (and defense). Did the offense really come alive or just benefit from playing a low ranking defense? We all have to wait and see. What about the defense, how will they fair against the 5th ranked offense of New England? The Dallas 4th ranked offense overcame in the end when the Ravens offense sputtered and the defense could not get off the field. Special teams can surely help the balance. Question is will it be the Raven's or New England's that help the most.
  19. Interesting! The Patriot and Ravens, both give up on average 17.2 points per game.
  20. Things may not be settled until the final game.
  21. Monday night football will have a huge audience.
  22. We still must see more games to fully evaluate the degree of improvement. December football is here so it's now or never.
  23. A reminder that one game doesn't make an offensive trend, especially when there are eleven previous games. If the team travels into NE and the offense repeat with a quality performance then I will begin to feel more positively. Until then, the Miami game is just an offensive anomaly. The degree of improvement in one week was quite steep.
  24. Good: The offense staying on the field scoring TDs in place of field goals; giving the defense rest time; the big decrease in penalties; the lopsided score. Bad: Missed opportunity for a shutout, still a few unnecessary penalties. Ugly: The after score dances, lol.
  25. Lets hope he's realistic and take into account where he is, in his NFL career.
