  1. Also nice timing on the hiring because it takes some of the thunder away from all of the talk about the Super Bowl this week.
  2. Wow, the rumor from this morning turns out to be true, who knew Kubiak would be a dark horse for the Ravens OC?
  3. I am hearing really good things about it and apparently all of the actors were perfectly cast. Also the director was the same director for The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook, both which were movies where one of their leads took home an Oscar that year.
  4. Oh she was definitely a "Don't mess with her unless you want to be missing body parts"
  5. Oooh I know that corgi, that's Corbin Dallas! http://corbinism.corgiaddict.com/ And yeah, he's also oddly huge for a corgi. Apparently it comes from his dad.
  6. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug was fun, and I don't know how they managed to make Legolas any more of a badass but they did.
  7. Ravens fan down in Capitol Heights now. I haven't seen my neighborhood's football allegiances yet, but I'm sure they know mine if they've seen the license plate on my car. The only real Ravens bar I know of is RJ Bentleys in College Park, but maybe there are others I don't know about.
  8. Cat vs Octopus:
  9. The Walking Dead and Mad Men have been my latest addictions. I used to watch Modern Family but I just haven't had time to pick it back up lately.
  10. Saw Django Unchained the other night. Great movie, Jamie Foxx is a badass and Christoph Waltz is hilarious. It's going to be a bloodfest much like how you saw tons of bloodspray in Kill Bill. Dicaprio pulls off being one rat [profanity deleted] of a "gentleman" and you will hate Samuel L. Jackson's character, Steve. It had a great story, and for once the previews did not give away the entire movie. In fact, the details of the story are much different than what you would have guessed: Anyway, it's a good movie though one or two scenes will also make you cringe, and they throw around the N word a lot so if that offends you, you might want to find something else to watch.
  11. Saw Black Dynamite last night. Great movie for just sitting back and busting a gut laughing at the over the top performances.
  12. Saw The Hobbit last night. I enjoyed the movie on its own merits. I'm sure if I could remember all the details of the book I might have a slightly different opinion, but still. I loved the meeting between Gandalf and Galadriel because their dialogue to foreshadow LOTR was flawless. Some of the appearances surprised me, I wasn't expecting to see Frodo but it was a nice touch.
  13. Anyone see the preview for the "Identity Thief" movie? It looks so dumb that it's not even worth the $1 theater price.
  14. I saw Skyfall yesterday, great movie, there's one problem I had with it. Otherwise it's definitely worth a look.
  15. I saw Wreck-It Ralph the other day and it lived up to my expectations. I will say that you'll enjoy the video game references in the beginning but they do go away and instead you get a good original story. I wasn't expecting a twist that happened in it. Also it's appropriate for the kids. Just be warned, if you sit through the credits, you WILL get the J-Pop song for Sugar Rush stuck in your head
  16. I think that would just increase my man-crush on him.
  17. I'm hoping with this deal that Disney will find the original theatrical versions of Episodes 4-6, digitize and clean them up before putting them on Blu-Ray, and then lock them in the "Disney Vault" for 10 years where Lucas can't get to them.
  18. I'm looking forward to Skyfall, the previews look great and I'm glad they finally made the movie. Anyone here going to see Wreck-It Ralph?
  19. Saw Sinister tonight, it's pretty good except for the ending, they left out some sorely needed explanations.
  20. Anyone looking forward to The Hunger Games this Friday?
  21. Anyone looking forward to The Hunger Games in March?
  22. XBL: MDMangi I don't have Madden, but I'm getting started in playing other stuff for live (yes, n00b here).
  23. I will give you that if it was its own movie with an original character, it would have been better than it turned out. However, Rob trying to create a reboot of the Halloween series and removing one of the major things that made Michael Myers so scary completely ruined it for me.
  24. BLASPHEMY!
  25. Next you're going to say the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween was good
