Anyone seen Skyline?
Any thoughts on the Cap America trailer?
Garbage
Confucious says: Can a movie about robots and braless women running around explosions in slow motion really be considered bad?
Wasn't Hightower an NFL player once upon a million years ago?
Yeah, it's looking more and more like another letdown than another well hidden swerve. We can still hope can't we?
James Franco is another overrated pretty boy, not quite as bad as Chris Evans though.
BR, I wouldn't try to quote anything from MC. He and ATD have been arguing most of this thread and I have been trying to stop it and try to get back some wrestling talk and just ignore the little argument they were having to prevent this thread from being closed.
Duly noted. ![]()
What is this based on? I never saw him put on good matches in TNA. Also it's understandable for Undertaker to be more battered than Sting because for the last 10 years he's actually worked for a major wrestling federation. Sting has not.
Sting doesn't have a history of injuries and doesn't have the same wear and tear as Taker, he doesn't walk around stiff like Nash. Has Sting slowed down? sure, but he hasn't worn down.
The fact Taker had a higher workload (if sporadic appearances constitutes a "workload") is irrelevant considering he's 6 years younger.
Seems like everyone in The Fighter got an Oscar nomination except Marky Mark.
Sting is 51... Who else did you think it may be that you are so disappointed?
Age is relative, Sting at 51 is in much better physical condition to Taker who is 6 years younger. It's like the difference between Jericho and Mysterio, Jericho could jump in the ring right now and chain wrestle for an hour without breaking a sweat, Mysterio probably needs cortisone injections in his knees just to get out of bed.
I have to agree, sounds like a kayface account. I've heard Angle, Karen and Jeff get along really well, not to mention Angle has a new fiance and baby.
As bad as TNA is in certain areas the mic work and promos feels more authentic.
"Hey I'm a biblical badass, even though I smile so much it causes me to stop mid sentence when I cut promos with my ridiculous accent"
Now Ahmed Johnson, theres a voice that matches the jacked up body.
Kurt Angle deserves to go out properly.
There are still too many oversights for the WWE PG era or not to be seriously considered a medium for teaching children ethics or morality. You have John Cena teaching kids that it's ok to make fun of people with red hair and Mysterio mocking someone for having a speech impediment.
Considering the current lack of star power in the WWE a Jericho return right now would get more pop than it did when he returned a few years back, he said recently his new deal is 90% done. Right now they need every big name they can get.
Random though: Would an EC work with a surprise entrant? like an obscured enclosure? maybe Sting? Kong? ![]()
Usually people from TNA will make snide comments on WWE PPV's, this week however only Tazz acknowledged it since everyone was asking him on twitter and he couldn't hide his anger. Tense times in TNA.
Nash was asked if Sting should take an offer to fight Taker at WM and he said Sting would "be a damn fool not to"
Jesus, I just caught the TNA spoilers for Impact... it's an absolute mess.
Remember the Laptop GM announcement that there would be a surprise 4th diva for the title? the dirtsheets had been buzzing all week about Kong and everyone was waiting for it, then we all got trolled when botch machine Eve came out especially the guys at the front screaming KONG KONG KONG.
McMahon and creative are very internet savvy now, they know what the smarks want but will cater to the kiddies first. However, the projected lineup for WM looks weak without a big marquee matchup and Taker/Sting could be an effective plan B since Lesnar/Batista ruled themselves out.
Perfect ending to two careers, screw the passing the torch to Barrett crap. I mean neither is in great shape but both have one decent match to leave in the ring, and everyone knows it's not about the wrestling. It's Wrestlemania 18 all over again, Phenom vs Icon FTW.
It's a shame WM isn't in Boston. What a crowd.
The WWE "universe" has been so starved of legit stars for so long they marked out when two upper mid-tier legends made an appearance. It's probably just nostalgia but the crowd pops probably turned on some lightbulbs. I wouldn't be surprised if more surprise entrants signed on for future events like the Elimination Chamber etc
That smark crowd gave huge pops Nash and Booker and I think I even heard Chavo and Regal chants for the first time.
Nash was a bit of a surprise, he was shooting on these guys only a few weeks back. He looked uncomfortable moving around too, he said it takes him 2hrs to get out of bed because of the chronic pain.
I've seen some of those comments and even foul language abuse on the FB comments, some people just don't understand or appreciate the art of kayfabe. It's not "bad business" if they keep watching. This is the PG era, the faces will always end out on top.
I'd rather have seen McIntyre win, now I was a fan of ADR when he started but I think we've seen all he has to offer, McIntyre while boring at the start is showing some small signs of potential. I actually care less about WM now.
I've never seen a 45+ wrestler move as well as Booker.
McMahon and creative really don't care about smarks or crowd pops, this was pointless, Del Rio isn't over enough.
Edit: I wonder if a short term signing of Nash and Booker move was partly to throw a wrench in TNA's plan to reform Main Event Mafia?

Theres talk now about Triple H coming back to take on Taker at WM with HBK as the special guest referee. The Barrett angle has been scrapped.
