  1. If you think its the 2nd best movie ever, then you should also watch the original source material, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2009 - "Män som hatar kvinnor").  Sweden's highest grossing movie.

But Fincher is a wonderful director and his take on the film is crisp.

Speaking of Fincher, I can't help but think that somewhere Morgan Freeman has just cut open a box and recoiled at the sight of Angelina Jolie's double mastectomy while Brad Pitt screams in horror..

  2. It's funny because I actually tried to get rid of warden, I was being abusive as hell and he just stuck around. After a while I actually started to like the guy and his military background and even shared some of my uncles old Nam stories after he passed away.

Then just like that, Warden was gone.

  3. Remake. I think what did it for me with this movie is that there was no one big star to kind of steal the spotlight away from the group experience.

I would have liked to have seen a sequel with the surviving cast. It was also jarring at first to see that one guy doing comedy as the goofy, awkward dad on Modern Family because of how well he played the bad guy in this movie. Ed Oneill and Bryan Cranston are two others who broke out of iconic past roles with more memorable ones.

  4. My deal and rate vary job-by-job. I certainly don't get overtime after 8 hours or anything like that, but my deal isn't always as awful as it used to be when I first started. I work way too many hours when I'm on a feature, but it balances out when I'm in between movies doing commercials and such. That's like vacation.

When is he doing the sequel to Unbreakable? Sam Jackson has been talking about it for years.

  5. When I first started, I did mostly blockbusters. The Lovely Bones, Transformers 2, Limitless, Law Abiding Citizen, etc. Now I do mostly smaller movies because they actually pay better (my department only), and I have a better position. I do sometimes help out on Blockbusters when they are the only thing in town. I worked on Dead Man Down and Silver Linings Playbook recently. Also, just about every M. Night Shyamalan movie. Say what you want about his recent work, but he is a fantastic director to work for. His jobs are awesome.

  6. Get out- "Jon voice"

It puts the lotion on it's skin?

If you post it, he will come

And by "it" I mean a post about an American remake of a foreign film.

I still can't believe Scorsese chickened out of The Departed's ending from the Hong Kong original.

Anyone seen "Bringing out the dead" a Nic Cage film from 1999?
