  1. Only 5% of fifth round or later picks will re-sign with the team that drafted them let alone start, thats why Ozzie is flipping them for immediate contributors.
  2. Ok people time to go back and update your mock drafts.

  3. It's not serious interest unless the player is scheduled to visit.
  4. The Zuttah trade means we can draft the best offensive lineman available in any round.
  5. I'm happy with this, it also seems to indicate a more long term focus on ZBS. Now all we need is some firepower at LG or RT.
  6. Athletic, smart and great mover, but he's not really stout though from what Ive read, he gets skated back to the QB which is kind of the thing we're trying to avoid.
  7. I keep checking in hoping we've signed a centre, because maybe, just maybe we need to give our pocket passer a chance to step up in the pocket.

Ok we have our Center. What position are we addressing next?

      @Stephenjr Maybe DE/DT?

Hopefully FS, or a 3rd CB. I wouldn't mind a RT either. Lol

  8. I don't think hes a sure fire stud, Joel Bitonio and Antonio Richardson have similar upside and position versatility but in the 2nd. Right now (since this is the free agency thread) there are still a few decent stopgaps who are far better than Shipley.
  9. Our interior could be a serious issue over the next few years, Gino is the worst centre in football, Yanda is 30 and is starting to slow down and there's absolutely no guarantee that KO will get back to where he was.
  10. Has anyone been watching Resurrection? it's pretty interesting so far but the tropes are familiar. I also recommend Game of Arms, it's low brow but damn entertaining.
  11. Not to be that guy but Evans is neither a free agent or defensive player.
  12. How much cap do we have now?
  13. Clemons isn't a ballhawk and wont create turnovers but he's fast and is strong in deep coverage, you can't always track him because of the cameras but if the ball is in the air he'll go stride for stride and shut it down. His ability to cap the backend is valuable especially to teams vulnerable to the deep ball.
  14. They don't seem to like him on their forums, he's described as a below average rotational player. Alex Carrington would be better but he's not a starter either.
  15. Theres also the trade option, we could target one or two big specimens approaching their final year, someone like Brandon Brooks or Marcus Cannon. Also in regards to the centre problem, Birk showed in his last few seasons that a slow centre could anchor a ZBS system if he has the size and smarts.
  16. What Tank92 said.
  17. Jacoby Jones is a playmaking returner who can fill in at receiver in a pinch, but he doesn't have the skill set to be a starting wide receiver. I also don't understand why anyone thinks our corps of Dennis Pitta, Torrey Smith, Marlon Brown and Steve Smith is a group that needs to be urgently upgraded before our offensive line. Not even Usain Bolt is getting open if Flacco has two seconds to throw and can't step up in the pocket.
  18. This is why we need Clemons, he's shown to be more than capable in deep coverage which gives him the versatility to play both spots at a high level. Theres no prime Ed Reed out there so I'll take solid and unspectacular over getting torched.
  19. Alex Carrington will come at the same price as Guion and is much, much better.
  20. Until he gets his head right and is coming in 100% committed then I'm not interested in what he has to say or speculation on "what ifs". He's either a Raven or he's not.
  21. From what I could gather from the Falcons forums DeCoud had one good season, but he was terrible against the run and once the turnovers dried up he was expendable. Good personality, if that matters.
  22. Lets hope that when he starts getting the usual Ravens receiver stats he won't tear the team apart.
  23. What I meant to say was those who think he's a washed up old man have never watched him play. If you're concerned about going younger we still would regardless of if we sign him or not, the WR position will be addressed in the draft and we already have talented starters.
  24. He really should have been retained and retired as a Panther. Oh well I hope we can capitalize.
  25. I remember playing franchize mode way back in Madden 02 and I always traded for Steve Smith, his ratings sucked back then but because of his speed he would always develop into a monster.
