  1. Hopkins is still coasting on one particular role...
  2. It probably is the best but I'd say the movie is more Daniel Day Lewis (best actor in the world) than Paul Anderson.
  3. Nolan is a little too clinical for me, it's perfect for Batman but you start to realise he has a bit of an emotional disconnect. I like Paul Thomas Anderson, but he doesn't really have the same longevity.
  4. Personal opinion: Danny Boyle > Darren Aronofsky > Christopher Nolan
  5. Huskys repackaged look is temporary until he comes out of his kayfabe coma, the stunner is just a default easy move, new guys tend to go through different moves before settling anyway. It took a few years before Orton's cutter looked good, and I still remember when DDP used to pull out perfect surprise cutters from out of nowhere. The finishers you see nowadays are safer, nothing really stupid like the Vertebreaker or Sitout Tombstones.
  6. So I decided to watch Skyline, now theres a terrible TERRIBLE movie. Turk really let me down. The ending was fantastic though
  7. Bubba Rays been as good as he's ever been, he's still no major draw though. Immortal definitely need some manpower other than the two security guys and musclebotch. Also Matt Morgan should never have turned face.
  8. Barrett needs to quit trying to put the Wasteland (horrible name) on the superheavies. When he put Show up he was shaking like he had Parkinsons.
  9. Battle LA was maybe a little worse than I thought it would be, terrible alien design, then there was the cliched hammy moments, writing and soundtrack. Good action though Edit: Why the hell do they always hire Michelle Rodriguez for these movies? she must be the most typecast actor in the world.
  10. Just reading some interesting points from the dirtsheets: “Dear @WWE now that the lockout is official I would love to whoop some *** Sincerely Lights.” - Merriman tweet The Raw GM could be revealed as Kevin Nash, which indirectly means that he was running Raw while working in TNA 61yo Lawler is dating 21yo development talent called Su Yung
  11. I still don't believe pre Hogan TNA or ROH were ever viable as competition for the WWE. Their product is too niche.
  12. The demise of TNA would be bad for all wrestling fans, luckily, they run a pretty good show from time to time. Serious Mr Anderson is irritating as hell though.
  13. Rock vs Hogan is the biggest match of Rocks career, I haven't heard a pop like that before or since even in his Austin WM matches.
  14. Someone married you? I tend to listen to Ebert's reviews except when it comes to action flicks, he usually can't accept them for what they are, I mean Kick *** was a great movie.
  15. Anyone notice the WWE is ignoring their original matchup at WM 17? it was basically struck from the record books.
  16. 1 step forward, two steps back. I really don't want TNA to die but it's looking more and more likely, the only good thing about it is they will be able to integrate the real story into the kayfabe.
  17. Wow, Cody Rhodes gets squashed at another Wrestlemania. Good omens. Rey is established, he's at the point where taking a loss doesn't hurt his career but can help someone elses, this is one reason why Chris Jericho is so revered. Before his hiatus he put over Morrison, Barrett, Bourne and Slater... good luck trying to get Rey to do that.
  18. Vince would sign Rob Terry before he'd sign Joe.
  19. Bound for Glory is TNA's version of WM. Either way, from looking over the matches I don't get the booking, Kurt Angle who was used in the promotional posters didn't even have a match, what was the buildup for?
  20. The only person I've seen who has Rey's number in the ring is Taker. Personally I don't see how losing the title to Kane AFTER a match where he's selling an ankle injury then arguably losing a program with ADR while selling an arm injury makes him look weak, he was still able to bury Jack Swagger. R.I.P Cody Rhodes career.
  21. The Triple H vs Taker match is a No holds barred match, and I think it comes down to his physical inability to work a full length match in the ring and take bumps for 40min. They're going to roll around backstage hitting each other with trashcans for a half hour. Also I wouldn't be surprised if Rey is throwing a tantrum, he's high maintenance and refuses to put younger guys over (I guarantee you Rhodes loses the feud)
  22. Ebert tore it apart, but I like watching mindless action so i'll see it. Finally watched The Town, now I don't like Ben Affleck but thats a good movie, better than The Fighter but not quite Mystic River.
  23. Brands are pointless until a few weeks before Bragging Rights.
  24. He'd probably like the action sequences but it's definitely more adult orientated, not low brow just very classic themes.
  25. I had to look it up to see what year it was made... go see Rango.
