The Ravens should be 1-1 but are 0-2 let's just hit the reset button at home and get this thing going in the rite direction! Stumbling out the gate but can still win it all so don't PANIC! Let's Go!
Would've, should've, and couldn've... the fact is that we're 0-2 now, and we will be 0-3 after Sunday- there's no way we beat the Bengals. I call the fiasco of this season, the Torrey Smith Curse. He was a leader, and Ozzie opened the door for him to leave- we don't have any real leaders on this team now that he and Suggs are out. Steve Smith is a leader, but he's 36 and on his way out. Otherwise, who is our next oldest receiver???? How could Ozzie leave these young receivers to be exposed like this? Steve Smith can't mentor all these young receivers....Terrible move, Ozzie... 0-3 due to Ozzie not doing anything with the cornerback situation too.Â
Like I said before the year started, we aren't making the playoffs- Ozzie didn't do anything with the secondary (Webb has got to go), and he let our two speedsters walk away- for what? An unproven rookie who can't even put his cleats on the grass until next month.
We are unfortunately going to get beat pretty good by the Bungals this weekend- they've improved while we've regressed. With a clear 0-3 start this year, we're not making the playoffs. You'll probably see Bisciotti make Harbaugh get rid of Pees at the end of this year. It's not his fault because we should've improved our cornerback situation, but we didn't. Look at what the Jets can do with a couple of great cornerbacks, they can win even with an average cornerback. But I know that won't be the case for us because we have to give Flacco so much money next year- we're screwed.... Torrey - we miss you.
Torrey was always clutch, especially against the Squeelers.. and the Pats for that matter...
Torrey where are you? Why'd you have to go? Oh yeah, Ozzie didn't want to keep you because he thought a 36 year old receiver and some no name receivers would be fine. We all know Flacco needs a deep threat to perform better. Wait till we match up with better secondaries down the road, we will have no game whatsoever...
Last year, we had terrible corners. This year we have no wide receivers, and we still have terrible corners. Ozzie should've kept Torrey Smith around- really. Bernard Perriman won't be the answer- at least he could've kept Jacoby- we don't have a burner. Plus, our defense played soft again because we were playing too conservative- just like the offense last week. Unfortunately, and I called this before the season, we will not be making the playoffs. Call it the Torrey Smith curse- for everyone who said he didn't do anything in Week 1 for the 49ers, he had over 100 yards receiving and scored on a long touchdown yesterday- too bad for him that Kapernick sucks..
These losses are part of the Torrey Smith curse. Ozzie should've never let him go- like I said in the beginning of the year, we will not make the playoffs. Ozzie didn't do anything to address a bad secondary (Corners) and basically let all the speed we had at receiver walk away to other teams (Jones and Torrey). Thanks, Ozzie- we suck!
Ozzie messed us up this year by letting Torrey Smith go- we have no speed at wideout- ???
Unfortunately, we will not being going to the playoffs, and we will have a below avg offense again- as usual. We should've at least kept Jacoby, but Ozzie thought we had enough WR talent already- he's crazy on this one.
Our only proven receiver is 36 years old and now getting over the hill- and we have three no name receivers. We won't be getting any separation. Perriman isn't the answer either, at least not for a while- do you think he can come right in and expect to have his timing / routes down with Flacco? No... Like Ozzie messed up with the corners last year, he messed up with the receivers this year. We shouldn't have expected Perriman to come in and be that lone speed guy. At least when Torrey came in, we had another speedster in Jacoby Jones who was also a very effective returner- something we are also struggling with. We should've at least kept Jones- we will not be making the playoffs this year unfortunately. How do you run an offense without any speed in today's offense?
Ozzie- Do you miss Torrey Smith now? You let a proven guy go to draft Perriman? Someone who can't get healthy? All the pass plays were short because on the other side, we have a 36 year old receiver. Come on' man...
Plus, we let Jacoby go as well. Bottom line, I don't see the offense being as productive as last year- the defense looks better this year, but that was also against a 45 year old Elway. We'll see in the upcoming weeks, but I don't think we make the playoffs this year.
Like I've said all along, we should've never let Torrey leave. Plus, we also let Jacoby Jones, our other speedster, leave at the same time. This was a terrible mistake by Ozzie. Did he really think Steve Smith was going to get separation and could you tryst a rookie (who is injured) to learn the offense and be as productive as proven Torrey?
It's funny that people thought we were going to go all the way to the Super Bowl- Unfortunately, I really believe we don't make the playoffs this year. No speed = no fear for opposing defenses. Now, Steve Smith and others can't get open because no one can take the top off like Torrey did. Ozzie an draft linemans and linebackers all day long, but keeping/ recognizing a productive receiver is not something he comprehends.
Ozzie- Now do you miss Torrey?
Breshad Perriman can't even put his foot on grass, and WR is a very hard position to learn for a rookie- I would've understood if we kept Jacoby, but you let him go too. So our fastest and best receiver is 36 years old, and he's going to retire at the end of this year? Camp can't even stay healthy either, and we know Pitta's deal and now the new TE? Our corners still stink- we didn't really address that issue as Ladarius and Jimmy are often injured too- Is Melvin really going to be the savior? Asa Jackson is not a very good corner either. As much as I hate to say this, this team will not be as good as last year.
I also hope Ozzie doesn't try to cheap out on Marshall Yanda and Justin Tucker either- Yanda deserves to get paid.
Ozzie- You missing Torrey yet? Not a smart move to keep Steve Smith over Torrey... Hopefully, I'll be proved wrong
Perriman = Elam
Matt Elam still sucks even though he's on IR
Now do we miss Torrey Smith? I predict the receivers we have will not be as good as advertised- we should've tried better to keep Torrey around. He behaved and played like a "Raven" but didn't get a "Raven" contract. Good luck to Marshall Yanda and Tucker in getting fair contracts. I think Ozzie messed up by giving Eugene Monroe all that money that he didn't deserve either- would've had more cap for Osmele and Yanda and perhaps Torrey. Steve Smith was on his way out, and then we won't have a proven receiver after this year- the rookie we drafted can't even get on the field.
Torrey Smith, Marshall Yanda, and Jimmy Smith are amongst my favorite players. Hopefully, Ozzie doesn't try to make a low ball offer to Yanda- he finally deserves to be paid as one f the best and most respected guards in the NFL.
Elam can't tackle a dead slug... He can't cover an ant if his back was to the sun, standing over the ant.. I hope he turns it around so then we can blame Ozzie again for having 20 safeies on our roster and 20 wide receivers as well- but no corners- same as last year
Too little, too late.
Matt Williams = Lee Evans
No offense, but Ozzie has no right to be drafting WRs in the first round due to his track record in drafting WRs in general...
Elam won't be able to tackle a slug when the pads come on... Good luck Elam..
Regarding Marshall Yanday, this was so predictable of the baltimoreravens.com media writing, "Still, it was a drop from the No. 55 ranking he had last year, following a trend of several Ravens dropping in the rankings. Basically, as what happened with our beloved Torrey Smith (and Ngata), the baltimoreravens.com is pushing 2 agendas here: 1) trying to make Marshall Yanda feel like he's not as highly valued so Ozzie can try to pitch hi the hometown discount and not what he deserves to be paid, and 2) prepare fans that they are going to lose Marshall Yanda. If I were Marshall Yanda, I would get the highest contract available because this is his last and best shot at a high contract regardless of where that migh be- I'm definitely a big fan of Yanda, and hope he stays, but I would hope the Ravens do the right thing, which they didnt do to Torrey, then they will make an offer to Yanda where he's at least paid in the top three for offensive guards. I have a gut feeling that we'll be seeing Yanda leave to do what's right for himself and his family- no offense baltimoreravens.com
Unfortunately, bye, bye Dennis Pitta. Maxx Williams is a stud and one of Ozzie's better picks.
I don't understand- Ozzie took a WR who can't catch in the first round... and this is from one of the best overall talent evaluators except at the WR position where he's often missed (besides Torrey Smith).

We will unfortunately be 0-3 after this week but whatever. I think Harbs needs to reconsider this staying out West thing. I believe it messed up people's flow for the first two games. It's not like these guys are flying to China- it's just a 4 hour flight from BWI. You mess up the routine, then you mess up the results- see what happened to us the first two games? All these mental errors.. we should've at least won one game (even though our cornerbacks stink compared to other teams).
