It's good we are upgrading the defense. Not sure what will be done to improve our wide receivers. They are in the bottom five of the league and probably not going to improve

2017 is mostly upgrading the defense, 2018 will be upgrading the offense. I believe 2018 will be a big year of us. 2017 might make the playoffs and do some damage. We'll see how that goes.

No, I don't see us making the playoffs this year- our offense is not good enough and avg joe flacco is damaged goods now. I say we try to get Kirk Cousins next year!

Are you kidding me?  what are you smoking?  the last draft, i would hope it was decent- we had like 50 picks...

2016: Ronnie Stanley, Alex Lewis, Kenneth Dixon, tavon young, Matt judon, Michael pierce all made major contributions as rookies, Chris Moore was good on special teams as well (and this doesn't include the contributions of our 2nd or 3rd round picks)

2015: it's a bit early to tell due to profuse injury but perriman, maxx have both shown promise, as have nick Boyle and Darren Waller when they can get on the field, zadarius has flashed at times albeit he has also disappeared for a while now

2014: cj Mosley, Timmy Jernigan have played like stars at times, as did Zachary Orr until he had to retire, Crockett gillmore, john urschel have both started games, Brent urban and Michael campanaro ave made game-changing contributions

2013: this is the worst one and it still produced 3 starters who are the best in the league at their respective positions... Brandon Williams, Ricky wagner, Kyle juscyzk, john Simon was good (then we let him leave), and we got some good relief starts from Ryan Jensen

2012: KO is now an all-pro guard, Courtney upshaw was a 3 year starter, Justin tucker is amazing, Bernard pierce was crucial to the Super Bowl run, Tyson also played some useful snaps

2011: jimmy smith, Torres smith, Pernell mcphee were all great players for us, Tyron Taylor was a good backup and won a starting job in buffalo

by my count that is 2 excellent drafts, 2 very good drafts, 1 mediocre draft and 1 where it is still up in the air

this is the most ridiculous rebuttal i've ever seen- good job, dacosta, made me laugh

i cant remember anyone else on our team for lack of aging vets and no young stud play makers- sean mosely can't cover even if you gave him an umbrella that was already open..

Now you're just being facetious - if you hate the Ravens so much that you can't see what's good about them at all and refuse to believe there's anything good about them then what's the point in being a fan?

I like the Ravens- I just liked the Ravens a little more when they were winning more- we need to get out of this funk that Oz and dacosta created

To be honest, I've never understood this whole "hometown discount" idea. For what does it even mean? "You've done a great job for us, we'r really delighted with your performance - so, we're honouring and acknowledging it by offering you less than your market value and hope you'll take it."

And fans get mad when the palyer says no thank you...

Most of the time, you've already grossly underpaid that same player for a few years because of the rookie pay structure.

ozzie to Wagner and Williams. "Iv payed you less than half your market value for 4 years. How bout you take another paycut to stay"

Im honestly starting to think... If Ozzie really wanted Wagner and or Williams then negotiations would have started last year. Ozzie certainly would have paid them slightly above market deals with guarantees mostly in the front part. He's betting that he can spend that cap better somewhere else and take those comp picks. Probably a 3rd and a 4th.

we had no money last year, just like this year.. we screwed up the cap with dead money and oh no flacco

2 of the last 3 drafts have been great and 2 of the 3 before that were pretty good too - 4 of the last 6 drafts were at least good, only 1 was bad (and it still yielded 3 starters), and the other is still too early to tell/give up on

in free agency we have brought in weddle, Wallace, Steve smith sr and some lower profile guys like Owen Daniels, Daryl smith which considering we don't often splash the cash in free agency is a pretty impressive haul

there is a reason everyone outside of Baltimore thinks Ozzie and Eric are the best in the business and it's because they are

Are you kidding me?  what are you smoking?  the last draft, i would hope it was decent- we had like 50 picks...

shareece and kendrick have been released

I think that is a good news. It means that FO is making cap space for some moves in free agency. Maybe some of our free agents want to take the ravens deal after talking to other interested teams or Ozzie is getting ready to go after other free agents. The next 72 hrs will be very interested.

like past FA periods, don't get too excited. i dont see desean or garcon coming to baltimore.. oz never has paid a wr big money- never.... he doesn't value the position.

we have breshard perriman, terrance west, and flacco

squeelers have antonio brown, le'veon bell, ans rothlesberher

Flacco is killing this team, he's not Elite and top 15 at best. Flacco you need to take a pay cut or the Ravens need to let you go. We are losing to much talent!!!!

Shhhh... it's dangerous to speak the truth about Flacco here. Here, Flacco is elite and it's the other 10 offensive players who are holding him back because they suck.

oz needs to ask flacco for a refund

  8. B. Williams is not worth a star player contract IMO. I'd bite the bullet and look for a REAL franchise DT like Haloti Ngata. When we first drafted Haloti he instantly became one of the best DT's in the league. Brandon Williams is too slow and bulky.

see what happens when you put him on a quality line- like KO, he will probably become a pro bowler...

  9. Now we have to cut Pitta, let Juice walk, and then Flacco will be on his own- that might be scary... in a bad way... While I like Torrey, it doesnt make sense to bring him back with Perriman and Wallace on the team. Perriman wont amount to much this season either but still...All i know, like i said last year, we aint making the playoffs this year either. We had an easy schedule last year- thats why our defense was ranked high- it was all a lie

DaCosta hasn't seen anything good in the past five drafts based upon the players he and Oz chose

Its really impressive that somehow in your mind the Ravens manage to both not draft any good players but at the same time always seem to have huge pieces leave in free agency that they drafted.  Being able to pull off both is just amazing.

What are you talking about? We haven't had that many good players leave because we haven't gotten any good players.
